Allison and her sister were AMAZING! Communication before, during, and after the sit was great. They arrived on time, got oriented and introduced to our three fur babies. I received great pictures during their sit and knew my cats were well loved and in great care. Allison was extremely tidy and helped turn over the linens to accommodate my return late at night. She even left a sweet note for us. I would definitely recommend her!!!

Jane is not a recommended petsitter if you have cats or if you want the house to be treated properly when you are away. 1) When she arrived the day before our departure, she didn’t show any interest in the cats, I had to suggest her several times to interact with the kitties in order to make sure the cats were used to her smell. 2) She acted in a superior attitude when I was giving instructions about how to feed the cats or understand their routines. 3) Since the moment we posted the sit offer, we were clear about the simple tasks: feed the cats 3 times a day, play with them, brush them, keep the house safe and clean, inform twice a day about what the cats ate with photos and videos. Her level of communication was minimum by whatsapp. Example of messages “Nala has not appeared yet this morning”, “not much to report”, “everyone has eaten well”, “all well fed”, “too busy feeding, taking pictures and answering your texts” 4) When we arrived the house was dirty (her bathroom had not been cleaned at all, she had not vacuumed nor mopped the floor, the kitchen was sticky) the basic rules of the house were cleaning the floor, kitchen (to avoid ants) and I specified the products to clean bathroom/toilet before leaving. The minimum ALL petsitters had done in the past before leaving were cleaning the basic areas. 5) Two windows were unlocked, when safety issues were explained as a main concern. The biggest window with access from the street was not locked with the screw (anyone could have entered the house) and the window of the guest room was not locked with the handle 6) She never sent a message after leaving the house making sure everything was ok and telling us if the cats were ok. Conclusion: We could clearly see she doesn’t like animals, especially cats, she came just to have a free place to visit the area (which is a very touristic place, mainly this time of the year, when the accommodations are really expensive), she had a bossy attitude and was clearly annoyed by our explanations of how to take care of the cats and house, her communication was not fluid (I had to send a message asking her how were the cats almost every day in order to get feedback), she was a person that clearly did not care about the basic level of cleaning. The only thing she did was feeding the cats at least once a day. When we arrived the cats were really hungry.

Natalie was a great sitter for my dogs. They seemed so happy when l got back home and my house was spotless. I would highly recommend her for any sits!

Our experience with Alissa & Kandis exceeded our expectations. They communicated clearly and promptly. They anticipated our needs, offering to arrive a day before our departure to make the transition with our pet easier. They cared for our dog with love, sending photos and updates throughout the stay. And they left our home in pristine condition. We would be lucky to have them care for our dog and home again.

LaQuita

LaQuita was an amazing pet sitter and house sitter. She looked after our Labrador Reedus and watered our plants while we were away abroad for just over 3 weeks. It was wonderful to travel with complete peace of mind that our home and dog were being well looked after. LaQuita was communicative and lovely to deal with. Gabbie was a fantastic sitter for dog Ollie! She was very communicative before and during the sit, making sure all logistics were in line with our schedule and ensuring us Ollie was doing well. We were lucky enough to have some time before we left to get to know her and she is very warm and kind. We came home to a clean house and a happy pup. Would love to have her back if she ever visits Baltimore again!

Amani was a wonderful housesitter. He took great care of Seamus, taking him on plenty of walks and hikes and time at home. When we returned, we could tell Seamus missed him. Everything at the house was great and we stayed in contact throughout our trip. When it looked like our flight might be delayed an entire day, Amani was even willing to add a day if necessary. We were completely happy with the sit and would be delighted to welcome Amani again.

Madelyn

Madelyn did a great job with our golden retriever. She stayed in touch regularly before the sit, was willing to spend the night with us before we left so that we could fill her in, and kept us informed while we were gone. Lucy was in good hands for sure.

Reya and Elijah were excellent sitters. They gave our girls lots of love and attention, and even spent time giving our elderly pup some reiki on her arthritic hips. They responded promptly and left the house perfectly tidy. They were always quick to respond and gave lots of updates on how the pets were doing!

Keisha is a gem! We did a Zoom call ahead of the sit to let her know the needs of my elderly dog and she came in prepared with thoughtful questions that reassured us so much. We are SO appreciative and grateful to Melissa for the outstanding job she did as our much loved dog, Berkeley’s, sitter, and as a ‘safe keeper’ of our home. During our time away she was sweetly consistent about sending us regular updates ( videos, pictures and messages) about her time with Berkeley, (which so helped us not miss or worry about him too much). And perhaps most importantly of all, when Berkeley seemed off his game she was in immediate contact with us - with our blessing, kindly took him to the veterinarian to be checked out and then gave him extra special attention and care to help him find his way back to normal. She was calm thoroughly efficient throughout this entire process. In addition to the great care she offered our dog, she clearly took excellent care of our home as we returned to a clean house, a fresh bed awaiting our crash ( international travel) and even homemade potato/leek soup to settle our travel weary tummies. Mariah and Connor are the best! They were so welcoming and spent extra time with us giving us a tour of the house and showing us everything we may need! 

Sirius and Dobby are the sweetest boys!! Sirius is a cuddle bug, loves to play, and will bring you different toys. Dobby loves to be around you at all times, making sure he's included in whatever is happening. They're so well behaved!

Paul, Bo and Daisy are very chill, well behaved, and each have their out own routine. They all have their own sleeping spots, could come and go as they please through the dog door and all love to go down to the river with me for a walk. They get along very well. Daisy likes to stick around the house the most and receive attention. Paul  needs to know where you are. Bo is the most independent and likes to explore.

Genevieve was easy to communicate with flexible and gave good information for  taking care of the dogs

The house is situated in a quiet village in a valley, surrounded by nature. Neighbours are friendly and happy to help. Genevieve's home is spacious and comfortable with a beautiful deck in the back. It is very peaceful and a nice way to spend time out of the city.

This was my first housesit with Trusted Housesitters and may be my best ever!  Kathleen and Dave Gilbert are very accommodating as 'hosts' and left a wonderfully detailed Welcome Packet for the housesitting job.  Their home is like a retreat, in a rural area outside of Winchester with a beautiful view of a green pastured ridge from their front porch.  The home is very cozy, clean and organized.  I took care of their dog, Chip - an energetic but sweet, obedient dog, two cats and chickens.  A well established routine made it very easy to take care of all of them.  I highly recommend this for anyone who loves the country and wants to get away from the rat race, though the town of Winchester, with many attractions, is only 10 minutes away.
