Enid
Enid and the cats are awesome. This was my first *official* sit for TrustedHousesitters and it went great. Isabelle even crawled into be with me on my first night! Tempe will always come running at dinnertime, and is slow to warm up to new people, but by my last day she did jump in and participate for a few minutes-before she forgot her *proper* self lol and then went back to intensely watching my playtime with Isabelle for over an hour with the cat dancer! She did let me pet her a few times when I was getting her dinner ready. Enid is very laid back and a great conversationalist-although she is ok with you keeping to yourself as well. Since Covid I haven't hung out with that many people-I am completely vaxxed & have my booster shot now-but I felt bad for Enid because I nearly talked her ear off and almost made her late 😄 . I am traveling between PA & TN dealing with a difficult death in the family and she even let me come a night early. We communicated frequently when she was away.

If you love cooking/baking she has a very well appointed kitchen-double ovens and more cookbooks than I could count. Her house is about 20 minutes from the main part of Gaithersburg-where I found a charming book/waffle/coffeeshop FD Book Cafe to hang out with a friend working in DC/Baltimore I had not seen in years. I also ordered food one night from a random pizza place on Groupon with a coupon-Pizza Bolis I think. I wasn't expecting much but the stromboli was surprisingly good.

Enid has a shower & washer/dryer available. I parked my car in her driveway. The house is beautifully decorated and quiet-I loved hanging out on the back screened in porch. Enid is so thoughtful she even had extra charging cords in the bedroom for apple or Android devices.

The cats are pretty low maintenance just maintain their water fountain, auto dry food dispenser and some wet canned food at night. Two litter boxes to scoop daily and I brought the recycling, packages, and mail in. Isabelle will always want pets or to play & may follow you around the house and race you up the stairs. Be careful when at the front door or garage though-she wants to get out but so far has not succeeded!
I would definitely sit for Enid again and hopefully next time I will stay longer so Tempe can get to know me better and come out more often. And Isabelle is a forgiving soul-I wouldn't let her on the kitchen table while I was eating but she didn't hold a grudge!

Julie
It was a pleasure to meet Julie who made us very welcome in her beautiful home with much appreciated hot stew on arrival. Margot and Grouse behaved as Julie said in her profile with Grouse ignoring us for a few hours but then turning into the most adorable soft friendly giant. Margot is more lively and loves to be with people. Both enjoyed a good run round the garden with a football and play fighting. Highly recommended for any future sitters. Thank you Julie and hope France venture goes well, Ruth and Tim

Andrew
We had great time with Rufy at Andrew's place!

Rufy was one of the most adorable cat we have ever met! He sits on your lap while you sit on the couch, and sleeps with you in the bed. Although he sleeps 70-80% of the day, he likes to be pet (belly not so much) and to play time to time. Overall he's really easy to take care of.

Andrew's apartment is in a good location in a quiet neighborhood. It's easy to park if you have a car. If you don't, the train station is not very far. There's a swimming pool. I think it's great if you stay in the summer.

We'd definitely love to go back to sit Rufy :)

Fleming
Fleming’s crew is a joy to sit with. Frankie and Tucker love to play when they are not napping and occasionally taunt their canine sibling. Finn is an energetic love bug who is learning to be a very good boy on leash. The setting couldn’t be more beautiful with the lake across the street! 5 stars
