Staying at Olivia’s was the best house sit we could have had. The grounds were stunning, and we went on so many lovely walks. Olivia made sure we had everything we needed and communication was great if we had any questions. Puffin and Polo really were the best doggies and we will be thinking about them for a very long time. So sweet natured and both so funny, they had gorgeous personalities. Rebekah their house keeper was also such a pleasure, we want to say a big thank you to her too. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again a million times over.
Shadow and Zoe are sweet cats that get along well with each other and are so easy to care for. They were a bit spooked when I first arrived, but still curious enough to make brief appearances. Shadow quickly grew comfortable with me and while she would spend most the day upstairs, she would come downstairs to the living room in the evenings to hang out with me and come to greet me and get a petting whenever I went upstairs. Zoe had a harder time developing trust, so when she reached the point when shes would let me pet her, it was an accomplishment for both of us! Teri's home is very tidy, clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. Teri was fantastic to work with - provided detailed instructions, did an amazing job of keeping in touch while she was away in spite of limited connectivity, and was very considerate of my comfort and needs. Made for an enjoyable stay!
This was a perfect sit from start to finish! Joby and Dave were so welcoming and thought of every detail for my comfort. The kitties, Mig and Mooney, are just the sweetest and so easy to please. Mig was immediately curious to know me, and though Mooney can be shy she came out to sniff me out and get pets as soon as Mom and Dad left, so we became fast friends as well. We spent many hours on the fabulous, huge covered screened porch — such a delight for all three of us! Mig would come up on my bed when I woke up each morning but was polite enough not to wake me! She makes really cute squeaks. And Mooney has the best purr. The entire house is one of the most beautifully decorated homes I’ve ever seen, with colorful objets d’art everywhere you look. Very comfy bed and multiple sitting areas. Everything went smoothly in the house, but they have a close-knit neighborhood so I knew if there were any concerns I could easily get help with a house issue. I fell in love with the lower Eastern Maryland shore. A very special area to explore with numerous creeks and rivers that lead into the Chesapeake Bay and mostly quiet and humble rural towns. It was fun to venture out to a couple of beach towns not far from Deale with boardwalks and cute shops. The Bay happened to be unusually wild while I was there, so watching the surf crash on the rocks was spectacular. North Beach has a wonderful, extensive pier to walk out on and fully take in the salt air. Solomons Island was a great spot to explore as well. I also got to explore Annapolis, which I’d never been to, and loved all the charming architecture and historic landmarks as well as the picturesque waterfront. Lots of sailboats zipping across the harbor. During this pandemic, I always appreciate Covid-conscious hosts, which Joby and Dave were. They offered to mask when I arrived, which was very thoughtful. My daughter joined me from Philadelphia for two days and the screened porch was ideal for hanging out safely together. She stayed at a local hotel, but Joby and Dave were generous enough to offer her a bed if she wished. Another example of their kindness. They are truly gems, as are Mig and Mooney and their home. I can’t recommend this sit highly enough! Thank you so much.
We spent a few days in Braintree in the company of Sydney and Teddy- two most delightful and friendly dogs- we really had fun with them! Amandas home is spacious, clean and comfortable and has a big, beautiful garden with a real moat! There's lots of space for the dogs to run free and play, and also outside facilities to enjoy in better weather! Amanda is a friendly host and contact with her before and during the sit was always good. We can highly recommend this sit 😊
Dean is super nice and was a great host my first night in town. The three girls are all super well behaved and very sweet! They spent all their time hanging out with me and cuddling, and we all enjoyed our walks around the park. The house is very nice and spacious, with a lovely back yard to relax in.
Autumn is a delightful cat to care for — she is sweet and welcoming, quickly warming up to you. It was a very rainy weekend so we spent most of the time cuddling on the couch. Some sitters have mentioned keeping your hand out of her way, but I found that she clearly indicates her boundaries with body language if you pay attention. Chris is also the ideal owner to sit for! She was communicative before and throughout the stay, and her guide was super thorough. Her home is comfortable and welcoming, and located near Northport downtown if you’re around long enough to explore. Would definitely recommend this sit and would watch Autumn again!
