We have made the best acquaintances through TH and Rachel is no different. She is such an interesting person with many talents. The kitties immediately took to her. Our home looked like it was cleaner than we left it. A joy to have her here!
We had a lovely time taking care of sweet Lulu and Birdie in Florida. Joanne and Carl were very welcoming and good with communication. Their home is very well-appointed, clean and organized. They live in a gated community with many nice amenities that we could use. They gave us great information about their pets and the area to ensure that we had a great stay. Their two young cats were raised and adopted during the pandemic, so they are not used to strangers and are skittish around other people. They are very sweet kitties and are very quiet. Joanne helped us set up a safe room for them to hide, but still have access to food, water and a litter box. We just had to respect their space and ensure that they were safe, fed and hydrated. By the end of our stay, both kitties were starting to come out of hiding to gingerly approach us. This sit is best suited for sitters who have experience with shy cats and will be comfortable with giving them space. We really enjoyed meeting Joanne and Carl and taking care of the shy kids - Lulu and Birdie.
Sally & Andy were gracious hosts. Their home was clean and organized, with a super functional kitchen which included all of the appliances I needed to contribute to a Thanksgiving dinner with my family. Their home is in an excellent location, walking distance for anything your heart desires. They even created an opportunity for us to park our car. Poppy & Rocco (the "Pop rocks") are darling young cats, and it was a pleasure being around their energy. They were playful, curious, and lovable. They acclimated quickly and were comfortable sharing their space with us. We highly recommend Sally & Andy, and are looking forward to another opportunity should one arise.
We are so grateful for this experience and the happy memories created...we had a wonderful time looking after Mimi and Rodolfo who have become very affectionate and playful. We really enjoyed the cuddling/purring each evening with these 2 cats. Robin is a warm, lovely, classy lady - an excellent communicator and if you accept a housesit, there will be detailed information at your fingertips at all times. She was well organised with a very clear welcome guide and the flat was left with everything we could possibly need. Robin gifted us 4 bottles of her formidable wines; we enjoyed two of them on her lovely terrace and brought the other two home for a special event or dinner. We felt so welcomed into this lovely cozy home in its fabulous location with two gorgeous, friendly cats, who made it easy for us to give them lots of Love, cuddles and attention. Mimi, a true Beauty would play only on her terms and Rodolfo, so laid back but skilfully playful when he gets even a small glimpse of anything half resembling a shoelace... he hides away somewhere secret in the house to sleep. Both will be always in our heart. After such a beautiful time it was a bit hard to say bye bye.. Thank you again for everything Robin, we're looking forward to seeing you all again soon.
Kyle and Christine's home in Bellingham is truly paradise. How lucky we were to have ventured up to their lovely neck of the woods. We are still talking about how beautiful, sparkling clean and restful their home was - we loved it there and we were sad to leave! Moose (and Tiger) are now part of our extended "pack." Moose is quite the gentle giant - and while he enjoyed his couch potato time, he was also a great companion for hiking and the occasional car trip. Tiger was extremely friendly and loved just hanging out in the cattery. We enjoyed getting to know both Kyle and Christine and hope to cross paths again in the future!
Both Mary and Steve welcomed us into their beautiful and comfortable home, later treating us to a delicious meal at a local restaurant. They are easy to communicate with and thorough with their instructions. They have two adorable Scottish terriers. Young Cassie is fun, full of energy, and loves to play. Clyde is the dignified, "elder gentleman" who is happiest when resting and being petted. Parrot Dixie was friendly with my husband, happy to be petted and would rub her head against his hand. We had a wonderful time with these pets and their home in beautiful St. Augustine.
Communication before, during and after the sit was very easy and smooth. Taking care of Winston was a pleasure - he is very affectionate and wants a lot of closeness. I very much enjoyed my time in Cristal and Nate's place. :)
