Erin was such an amazing pet and house sitter. Mona, my 19 year old kitty who takes several meds a day (including eye drops) absolutely loved her. I would recommend Erin to anyone looking for a great pet sitter, and I also hope Erin moves to SF so we can hang out as friends.
Kate was very welcoming, generous and easy to communicate with. The house is lovely and in a great place to explore Bath from but the best part of the sit by far was Mowgli and Fremmy. They are great company and you can have a good old chat with Fremmy, he likes a grumble and chunter. He doesn’t walk that far but there are lovely fields not far from the house. It’s more of a stroll and a sniff but once you adapt to his meander speed all is good, It’s actually quite relaxing! Mowgli looks aloof but when not out and about actually really wants to be around you and sat next to me several times when I was reading and curled into me. He also enjoyed a good brush. All in all a great Trusted Housesitters experience.
This is a dream house sit. The cats really are an absolute joy to look after. They are 3 totally different characters who mix together very well. They are confident in their garden surroundings, quite independent and love a cuddle. The location to Chester town centre is incredible and there is so much to do locally. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. Audrey and Andrew made us very welcome , we arrived a day early and shared a home cooked meal. Cannot recommend this sit highly enough.
Staying in Tessa's home was great! They left the house clean and tidy and gave us permission to use any food we needed from the house plus also bought some welcome items for us which it was very nice ! It's a very beautiful area, there's a small Tesco 3min walking from the house and Farnham center was 20min away by walking where there were lots of different shops (big Sainsbury's and Waitrose, Holland&Barret's, Starbucks, pouland...). London is about 1'5h away by train so it's easy to get there too if you need it. The care for the animals is very simple and we enjoyed it a lot. They're so friendly and lovely, they just follow you everywhere asking for cuddles ! We loved the stayed and we'd recommend 100% to stay here. Wishing the best xx
If you're looking to reconnect with nature, this is the stay for you! Sandy and Ian are lovely people with a beautiful property and home. Trails on their property are great and there's quick access to a provincial park + quaint small towns near by for shopping/exploring. The cats are all lovely, and Bailey is a sweetheart. FYI - as of Sept. 2021, cell coverage via Fido/Rogers network is very spotty so don't be surprised if you have no signal on the property and wifi connection can fluctuate as well. Great chance to take a break from screens though :)
It was a delightful week spent running through the mucky fields with Rufus not only because he is such a good puppy, but also because I knew at the end I could cozy up before the fire or find myself down at the (dog friendly) local for a pint. :) Great hosts, lovely house, and a border terrier you will absolutely fall in love with. A relaxing time indeed. Would not hesitate to go back. Thank you again for the opportunity!
Gill and Jane were 5 star hosts. They made everything hassle-free and easy for us on arrival and departure. Their home was in great condition when we arrived and was a pleasure to stay in. All the appliances, cookware, bedding, etc. were great quality which made for a very comfortable stay. However, the views, garden and surrounding area was our favourite part of the stay. We were lucky enough to get great weather so we spent most of our time out in the beautiful garden playing with the cats, they love to run around outside with you when you’re pottering around or watering the plants. The cats were lovely to be around and very easy to care for, they were a bit shy at first but they soon got comfortable with us and would roll around in the grass for tummy tickles and sit on the sofa next to you watching a film. We would highly recommend sitting for Gill and Jane if you get the chance.
