I really enjoyed sitting for Tanne & Tom. Although I was bummed they took their dog, the cats were fun to spend time with. They are indoor/outdoor so not a lot of work but both expected attention so it's not hands off with them either. The house and view are amazing. It is remote and a 25 minute drive to the nearest supermarket so takes a little planning when running into town. I would definitely sit here again and highly recommend this sit if you are coming to the area.
Tessa is very organized. The binder of info was very helpful. The house was very clean, and Oscar was a gem. He was a little stand offish the first day, but by the end of the week he was demanding pets and hanging out in whatever room I was in. This house is extremely convenient for getting into Oxford or going around Abingdon. Highly recommend. The only problem I had was that the internet got weird every time it rained, and it rained several days when I was there. I was working a few hours a day doing things that require internet, so it was a bit frustrating, but this might not be an issue for other sitters.
We house and pet sat for Ashley and Pier for just under 2 weeks and it was an absolute pleasure to sit for them. Their communication was great right from the start. Their welcome pack was full and informative and contained everything we needed to know about both the house and their beautiful dog Sasha. They also provided Sasha’s preferred walking routes which was really helpful. Sasha is a real character, very easy to look after and is a very loving dog. We had a lot of fun on her walks playing in the snow and she was great with my 6 year old daughter. She is certainly great around children. The house was clean and comfortable and is situated in a nice area. There is a grocery store about a 15 minute walk away and a small shopping mall about half an hour walk away. It is also on a bus route into the city so you do not necessarily need a car to get about. We found Ashley and Pier to be extremely friendly and welcoming and we would certainly house sit for them again.
This was a lovely sit - Leo is an absolute darling of a cat, and Marta and EG couldn't have been more welcoming, helpful and generous. A great location too - 5 mins from the beach. The flat, all ground floor with a garden, was very comfortable. A few little hitches were very quickly sorted out as Marta was very available by phone (and very efficient). The sit was set up very quickly and smoothly too. Definitely a sit we'd love to do again, but not sure we'll be able to fit another one is as sadly they are all moving away.
We had a great time at Carol and Andrews house looking after their amazing dogs Louis and Milo and the chickens! We had a very warm welcome and lovely dinner, thorough handover and regular contact throughout the week. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this sit and hope we can return one day soon!
