Irina doted on Ginger and Pepper and took great care of our apartment. She is a pleasure to communicate with, radiates warmth and reliability, and was very gracious about indulging my kittens strange eating habits and keeping me informed about how well they were eating. We are looking forward to having her over to sit again.

Many thanks to Susan and John for organising their coming to us the way they did. They arrived the day before our departure which gave us the time getting to discover each other, sharing about our lives, passions and interests. It is very special to invite at your home table people you never met. With Susan and John we immediately felt comfortable and in trust. They are an elegant couple, discrete and rich of life experiences. We also appreciated receiving regular feedback of home while we were away. Susan is a fairy and the house was totally perfect at our return with a special touch of welcoming back, our dinner ready on the table. How wonderful ! .... and last but not least Pacha was quiet, peaceful and seemed very happy. We are sure he got full of attention and cares from both Susan and John while we were away. Grateful and happy for this meeting, we very much look forward to welcoming them home again and hopefully very soon.
Jeff invited me back for a 2nd sit and I couldn't have been happier! This time around I got to see more of Muffin inside. He slept at the foot of the bed two nights. Scruffy was her usual sweet self, though I did get to see her extra determined side. She was not feeling her pill pockets to get her medicine so she kept her mouth firmly closed. Had to open her mouth and drop it down her throat. Jeff precut her medicine so that made it easier. Gave her pill pocket afterwards and belly rubs as a peace offering. The adorable way she jumps around when I pull out her leash shows you that she's still has pep in her step, even though she's 15. Jeff left the house just as clean as the first time. Communicated well by letting me know who would need to come by. Great host, Great animals, Great home.

The best part about this kennel is that they do daycare and when you’re boarding your dog there you can opt to have your dog included in the daycare session when they get to go and play with other dogs. But my favorite thing about this kennel is that for about an hour every morning they let you take your dog out of the kennel so your dog can go run around on the beach for an hour
Terrible and horrific for my dog. My very kind and people/dog friendly pooch was traumatized beyond words from this place. While waiting to get my dog I heard a young woman scream "SHUT UP!!!" To the animals confined in small cages. Also, an employee tightened my dogs collar to its tightest position. Grotesque and sick. If you care for your pet, find an alternative way to have it watched.
This is the third year we have used York Bark and Play. This time with two dogs. The staff have been super accommodating for our elderly dogs and always greeted us with a smile. If you never have been to York Beach, between 6:00 and 8:00 a.m. you are allowed to bring your dogs to the beach and let them run around and play. (caveat: this shouldn't need to be mentioned but I will anyway. You must clean up after your dogs). We did this for a few mornings then brought them back to YBP. I like that they publish photos and a video everyday on Facebook so you can see your dog interacting with other dogs during play time.
York Bark and Play is amazing. We have left our dog, a Samoyed, for a day all the way up to 2 weeks. I never worry about him when he is there. The staff does a wonderful job, the kennel is clean, and it is great seeing the pictures and videos they post. 100% recommend 👌 …
This is the second time we've boarded our big, babyish Lab at York Bark and Play, for a long weekend, and once again they've done an excellent job of providing love, attention and care to our boy. He comes home tired and happy, probably barely misses us! Any dog parents who worry about a boarding experience should feel confidant about getting away, with your dog being happy!
We love York Bark and Play! Our two pups have been going here a few days a week for five months now. They treat our dogs like they would treat their own. We boarded them for a night while we went to a wedding and I wasn't worried at all because I knew they were in good care. We would highly recommend!

We love this place, this is the 3rd time that our dog has gone to York Bark and Play. Our Doberman looks forward to going in the car now and he knows he will see all his friends. We have noticed that he is so well-behaved at home now, you can tell that they work with our dog and they do not ignore him at all. We highly recommend this place. Awesome staff! Thank you
Liz and the staff are professional and seem to treat the dogs in their care like their own. I believe they genuinely enjoy taking care of them. Our dog is always excited when we take him there and exhausted from all the fun when we pick him up. It is great to have a place that you can feel good about leaving your four legged family member. The facility is clean and updated with heated floors which also goes a long way in making us feel good about leaving our dog, especially in the winter. As a bonus, because of their resident hens, we can pick up a dozen fresh eggs when we go.
Liz and the staff are amazing! We live in MA but when we go on trips are more than willing to drive to ME to drop our two labs off. Their prices are great and they're so good to our kids. Our pups join the play groups and always come home tired, worn out, and happy. The staff are professional and we trust leaving our dogs with them hence the drive so far. DEF recommend York Bark and Play!!
