Milo is a very sweet, low-maintenance, quite skittish dog. He quietly trots up and down the stairs, spending most of his time at home in his carrier, crate, or under the guest bed. Over time, he slowly began to pause on these sojourns to say "hello" to me, to take longer walks around the neighborhood, and to ask for cuddles when a loud thunderstorm scared him (breakthrough moment!). Perhaps a fast(er) way to win Milo's trust/kisses is to take him on car rides and give him small pieces of string cheese (see his "happy dance")! I enjoyed taking him on walks at local parks, and on a short hike with a friend and her pup. Milo became quite attached to me during the last few days of this sit; I was sad to leave him! Lauren was a joy to work with! With the (travel) time difference, she responded within 24-48 hours of my messages, and addressed concerns I'd had re: fungus gnats in plants and some "spite" pee/poops that Milo had (all was rectified). She and her partner have a clean, modern, well-equipped townhome in an easily accessible part of central Denver. They graciously lent me a vehicle and bicycle, which was very helpful for errands and taking Milo around town. I highly recommend dog-sitting Milo, and would gladly do so again!
