We loved staying with Ozzy and Barny! They are wonderful and well behaved. On walks Ozzy is a typical full of beans baby dashing around but he stops and comes back when called. Barny is calm and just checks messages from every bin and lamp post. They are affectionate and love cuddles. They slept peacefully in bed with us all night. The house is wonferful as well and conveniently located near a park, supermarket and the tube. We had great communication throughout the stay with Justin. Friendly, welcoming and easy going family. We hope to return one day. Highly recommended.
I really enjoyed housesitting for Cristin and Alireza. They were warm, generous, and communicative - everything you could ask for in a host! I loved Harper, Juniper, and Calvin’s company during my time in San Diego. Harper is the sweetest and will want to be as close to you as possible, as often as possible. The cats are fun, curious, and very cute. I miss them all already!
Ruby is sweet. Stealthy in the house, barky out the TV room window, obedient about going to her crate, and skilled at avoiding human tricks to con her to take meds. I enjoyed seeing the updates to this Victorian house and temporarily living a few blocks from yoga, coffee, a grocery co-op, restaurants. Communication with the HO was great before the sit and for the first two days of the sit. Ruby was sick when I arrived, and the HO and I communicated often about what wasn't normal and when to see the vet. HO communication fell apart on day 3. The vet declined to see Ruby, because the HO hadn't authorized it. Not sure how the HO missed that in the prior two days. I figured out what needed to be done for authorization, asked the HO to do it, drove Ruby to the vet, and waited a few hours for the HO to get it done, and then waited a few days for Ruby to come home. Even the vet was surprised Ruby recovered. Ruby in recovery had no bladder control (a prior issue for her), was skilled at avoiding the pee pads and diapers I bought, got on furniture despite being told no, and only had a few left of a crucial, regular med. The med wasn't in the place in the welcome book or the alternate location the HO had mentioned. I asked the HO about cleaning protocols and the med's location. The HO didn’t respond for four days. The vet wouldn’t supply me the med. When the HO responded, the HO insisted for days that I was wrong about the med not being in one of those two locations. Eventually, the HO remembered the meds were in a package that arrived during the sit.
We really enjoyed taking care of cashew and the apartment. Cashew is very lovely and loves to play. She needs a little time to warm up, but once she has taken you into her heart, she'll always be by your side. We already miss her! :) Cameron is a great Host and the communication before and during our stay was fantastic. Thank you for everything and hopefully see u again!
Ruth’s apartment is located perfectly to catch bay views and is just a short walk to the Sausalito hub of cafes, boutiques, restaurants and about a 30 minute walk to the ferry terminal which can quickly whisk you across the bay to San Francisco terminal. A Molly Stones supermarket is only a 5-10 minute walk and also has great ready to eat food and super fresh seafood. The furnishings are comfortable and the mattress and pillows were especially good quality and we slept very well during our stay. Moscow and Sochi are beautiful dogs and love their playtime. The dog park is super close to the apartment and they are very social and well behaved with other dogs at the park. Our communication with Ruth was effortless and we were provided with good instructions for arrival with convenient key access. Richard and I would not hesitate to apply for a sit here on another occasion.
Dandi‘s house was a true vacation! I fell in love with her home. Not only was it comfortable, but decorated perfectly. My days spent in the backyard were relaxing, the only thing missing were her animals, which unfortunately were not here this time. That said, I enjoyed myself laying by the pool and taking in the view. Dandi is an excellent communicator, I never had to wait long to have my questions answered. I felt right at home, and the neighbors were pleasant to visit with. I would be honored to housesit or pet sit for Dandi anytime. It was a fantastic six weeks.
