From start to finish, a brilliant petsit with warm and welcoming hosts, a gorgeous home - the epitome of pacific nw style - and the best ever, charming doggo to accompany us on hikes and forays around Edmonds. Georgia and Fiona kindly had a welcome basket and food on our arrival which was very much appreciated. We were made to feel right at home immediately with their kindness. Communication and instructions were clear and helpful, making for a really smooth stay. Bree, a lively and affectionate catahoula hound, was by far the most well mannered dog that we have had the honor to care for. We will miss our play sessions with her Yeti toy and the ball toss at the nearby elementary playground. We were allowed the use of their car which was great and was set up to bring Bree along on our local hikes. Edmonds is a beautiful town with plenty to keep us occupied from hiking, beach walking, ferry rides with views of the Olympics and many wonderful eateries. We enthusiastically recommend this sit and hope one day to have the luck to return!
We fell in love with Mei Mei and CoCo within minutes of meeting them. They are utterly adorable and so easy to look after. You wouldn't even know Coco is there and Mei Mei is an energetic youngster who loves to play and equally they both love to cuddle up with you on the sofa. They loved their walks through the woods which are lovely this time of year with the bluebells out, its a 10 min downhill to Dore Station from there. We felt very comfortable and relaxed in Fionas home and found everything we needed, we even enjoyed a bit of sun in the garden as did the doggies. The views across to the peak district from upstairs are lovely. I would highly recommend this sit, I certainly hope to return myself. Thanks for having us Fiona!
Staying for a weekend at Gianpaolo's house was really a great experience! He and Karoliina are really two great people, very easy-going and kind: they made us feel at home right away and were super helpful. Spending time with Fun was really a blessing! He is super nice and really funny, and he kept us company during these two days. Super recommended!
How lucky am I? For my first house sit I chose Tony and Melanie in Eynsham, UK. I couldn’t have felt more welcome. Their home was lovely and my accommodations were wonderful. The dogs, Skye and Harley, were adorable, happy dogs. I needed to give medication to the dogs, but it was easy to do. I walked them morning and evening, which they loved. Tony, Mel, and I planned it so we had a day before and after their vacation to get to know each other, and that enabled them to explain everything to me in detail. I truly couldn’t have asked for more.
My partner and I stayed for 2 weeks with Hugo and Millie and fell in love with them! They are the sweetest dogs. Both are easy-going and well-behaved. Michael was a great host too. He provided good instructions in the welcome pack and also gave us some advice about Heidelberg and the local neighbourhood when we first arrived. He even let us use his bicycles so we could get around. Heidelberg is a beautiful city so a great place to explore The apartment was very comfortable for the two of us. There are 2 supermarkets within a 5 min walk and plenty of cafes, restaurants and bakeries within walking distance. We would definitely recommend this house-sit! Thank you Michael! Two very cool people with 3 very nice little cats. Their apartment is ideally located in central Sitges, which is a pretty and laid back small beach town in Catalunya. The cats all had very different personalities but soon warmed to me and were fun to be around. Very easy to care for with just a little food, cleaned litter tray and some stroking and affection. Simple. Gene was starting to worry that I may not make it due to the Covid-19 situation but if I say I will be there, I will. I had damaged my knee & Gene very kindly met me & carried my bag through the town. Which was a big help & much appreciated. My onward flight was changed but they kindly allowed me to stay on for a day or so during which time we were able to have an enjoyable chat & get to know each other better. A very enjoyable sit.
