Lovely couple and two easy to care for fun cats! Would gladly house sit for them again!
We really enjoyed taking care of Parka and Islay. They are neat, sociable cats and we were given straight forward instructions on how to take care of them. South Croydon has easy transport connections to/around London and it is very convenient to get to the shops too. It was neat spending some time before, as well as catching up with Helen afterwards. Helen's home was a pleasure to be in and we were made to feel very welcome. We are very thankful for the time spent there.
Five stars! Mary was super communicative and friendly, and her home is decorated beautifully and in a nice quiet neighborhood near a great hiking trail and fun places to eat/drink/etc. Roux is an affectionate cat but very easy to care for! She’s silly and highly entertaining at times, at other times just naps and loves a lap. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to visit Seattle, you can’t do better.
We were lucky to take care after Chaplin and Aurore's beautiful house. Chaplin is without a doubt the most affectionate cat we have taken care of. He loves to cuddle and play with you. He will not miss the opportunity to sit on your lap and start purring. The house is next to the most famous market in Amsterdam. Everything was very neat and clean. We are going to miss Chaplin very much. A house and the kitty - 5 starts :)
Our experience sitting for Lorie and Bryan and the girls was unforgettable in the best of ways. Lorie and Bryan are fun, communicative, and easygoing, and went out of their way to make sure we felt as comfortable as possible. Maze, Kaleko, and Ellie (or Mazie, Keelie, and Doña Elena as we like to call them) kept us entertained the whole week - and they definitely kept us active! They will insist you play with them and give them attention during their active times (mid morning, mid afternoon, early evening) so this is definitely a sit for more active people...or maybe we're just push overs :) The girls love attention and are well loved by their mama and daddy, so they expect nothing less, and they love hard in return - we felt like one of the pack by the time the week was over and knew we would be protected like one of their own! They love to run around and wrestle - this would not be the place for someone just looking for a quiet at-home office for remote work and minimal pet involvement. Usually one of us would entertain the girls while the other got work done, and we both worked while the dogs napped. The dogs are very good at minding commands (unless there's food involved!) and they like structure, so it worked well for us to have them sit before giving them attention, feeding them, etc. Maze does particularly well with this! I could go on and on about the pups...suffice it to say it was hard to say goodbye and we can't wait to come back! And Bryan and Lorie are just so kind and communicative, even bringing us back a souvenir from their trip! Even when they were on a cruise boat out at sea, all we had to do was ask and they would help us however they could. And we loved their commitment to environmentalism!! While we were there, I offered to help with some light cleaning and organizing, as I find it relaxing and Lorie and Bryan were happy to oblige my offer :). They had recently been preparing for a move that work out, so there were a few extra items around the house. And with three energetic dogs and a doggy door, it's understandable that there was a bit of dirt and pet hair here and there. It's evident that Lorie and Bryan take great care of their home, and with three playful pups, you could imagine a spotless floor is a bit of a challenge (trust me, I tried...many times)! If you're looking for a warm, spacious, plant-filled home with an exciting and love/lick-filled stay, look no further :) Thanks for everything family!
We loved hanging out with Capri in Jessica and Eric's beautiful home. Their home is comfortable and super centrally located and we had access to everything we needed to be at home during Thanksgiving. Capri is a great dog and we loved snuggling with him at night and walking him around the neighborhood during the day. Double bonus - there are wild horses everywhere!
