Linda, Les and Linton house-sat for us while we were away on a cruise for nearly 4 weeks. Our house and animals - 2 dogs, chickens and sheep - could not have been in better hands .........we returned to an immaculate house, happy animals and everything in very good order. Any problems were dealt with efficiently and with initiative and we kept in touch by email. As mentioned in other reviews, Linton is a very well behaved, delightful child and the animals obviously enjoyed all the extra attention. We have no hesitation in recommending them but hope that doesn't prevent them coming to us again soon!
Sarah was a great dog/house sitter, I would gladly have her at my home again! She genuinely cared about ensuring my house and precious boy were happy. I have an Aussie, so they can be quarky and hard to warm up to strangers and she did a great job giving him space and love until he felt comfortable. Thank you so much!
Karen and her lovely mother Ann sat for us for a portion of our 1-week late summer trip. They arrived the night before we departed, leaving us plenty of time to go over the cat care logistics in person. Karen is a gentle soul and has spent decades teaching abroad. Her patience and kindhearted nature made us immediately feel comfortable that our home and kitties would be in good hands. Karen was caring and respectful, taking her time to understand each cat’s personality and feeding habits. She also happily agreed to water our numerous plants and trees outside, especially given the lack of rain. Since this was our first time having 2 different sitters split a sit during a trip, we also appreciated Karen’s willingness to turn over the guest bedroom to the next sitter, including washing sheets and towels, and processing the litter robots. She even offered to overlap with the incoming sitter to show her the ropes. The timing didn't work out for that but it was thoughtful and kind of her to offer. We appreciated Karen’s ongoing communication while we were away, including her concern and her patience in looking for one of the cats when she was hiding for a couple of hours at mealtime. The next sitter arrived to find a clean home and happy cats. We highly recommend Karen and would happily have her back to sit again!
Meghan and Shaun were incredibly welcoming, and made it easy to settle in to enjoy their home, garden, and especially George, Ruth, and Alice. They were each so endearing with their loving, unique personalities, and they also made me feel welcome. The soul of this home and family is pretty special!
We had a wonderful time sitting for Louie, Gnarly, Archie, and Ramen! The dogs were full of energy but after some time playing fetch in the yard were always happy to settle in while we did some work from home. Ramen was very friendly and cuddly. Olivia and Noah made us feel right at home, providing super clear instructions and making sure we had everything we needed for our stay - they prepped the house almost to an Airbnb level for us, with space in closets and drawers, etc. We were there during a tropical storm but we kept in touch with Olivia and Noah throughout the week, so it was easy to feel prepared and safe. I hope we can sit again!
