We have had several Zeewoi who have all been good but Christina stands out. She was excellent! Very well organized and clear in communications, very conscientious about the house and the cats, and left our home very clean! Highly recommend her!
We had a lovely sit with George for Rónán and Fotis. From the very beginning, the whole process was easy and convivial. The selection process was quick and friendly. We met George and his providers the evening before their departure, and were invited to spend the night in the guest room, where we stayed throughout the week. After some conversation and an introduction to George, their apartment, terrace, and our duties in caring for George and their many houseplants, they left for various commitments and we departed for a restaurant they recommended. Much the same easygoing arrangement characterized their return on the day of our departure. We chatted briefly before they retired for naps. We left for a couple of hours, then returned to read for a while before departing for the airport. George is a shy boy, but gradually warmed up to us, enjoying scratches and cuddling in bed with us briefly at night and in the morning. He spent nights and mornings on the terrace, and hung out with us in the evening in the sitting room. He was extremely easy to care for and never made a fuss. Moreover, we received an excellent, helpful, easy-to-follow Welcome Guide well in advance of the sit. Several things made this sit especially easy and enjoyable: George, Rónán, and Fotis’s easygoing, friendly, undemanding demeanors; the centrality of the location near to restaurants, cafés, markets, transportation, and Plaza Mayor in the center of the city; and a comfy, clean apartment with a large terrace filled with plants. Madrid was hot in late July, but we were able to walk to Madrid’s excellent, air-conditioned art collections, the Royal Palace, and other destinations where one could escape the heat. Thanks, Rónán, Fotis, George for a lovely time.
We absolutely loved the entire experience we had at Diane's, David's and Josie's home. Diane and David are great house owners and wonderful people. They make their best to make us feeling at home and honestly we did. Josie greeted us like we were long lost friends and a firm bond was immediately formed. The house is very clean, homey and lovely decorated. It is situated in a lovely neighborhood and close to great hiking trails. Walking Josie around the trails is a delightful experience. She is full of love, energy and joy. We would definitely sit for them again and recommend this Housesit to anyone. Thank you again for welcoming us warmly into your harmonious house.
We couldn’t have picked a better scenario for our first THS sit. Layla and Harper Lee are very well-behaved doggies with an established routine that was very easy to maintain. They eat and walk in the morning, eat again in the late afternoon and walk again later in the evening. In between, they may want to run around in the backyard a couple of times during the day or they might just want to laze about and get scratched behind their ears anytime you offer. This schedule worked out just fine for us during our week long stay at Jacob and Mary’s winter home in Fort Myers. The house is an open and bright Florida style place that we found to be quite comfortable. There’s a beautiful open pool/patio area that you will find to be a very relaxing place to chill and relax. The king bed in the guest room was very comfortable, so we slept soundly every night and woke up refreshed every morning. While we were here, we found plenty of activities to do without interfering with our dog sitting duties. We did a couple of rides with the local bicycle club, visited the very interesting Edison & Ford Winter Estates, did a kayak eco tour, a nature walk through a Cypress swamp and saw a play at the local repertory theater. The Publix grocery store is very close by and there’s a Fresh Market only 3.6 miles away where we got some really nice tuna steaks for dinner one night. There are plenty of restaurants in the area. We’d highly recommend sitting for Layla and Harper Lee.
Andy and Katharine welcomed us very nicely and we were able to get to know the dogs during a walk together. The communication was great all the time. They gave us restaurant recommendations nearby, mapped out the dogs' walking route, and mentioned all the major shopping in the area. The dogs were great, and followed us around constantly. Magnus was especially affectionate and always sought my closeness. Einstein always wanted a lot of attention, he is definitely the boss at home. The walks were very easy, they both listened super to us. We felt very comfortable in the apartment and had everything there we needed. We would highly recommend the sit and are glad to have met such nice people and dogs. We already miss the boys.
I’ve always wanted to sit for a Frenchy, so when the opportunity to watch Gus for Brian and Derek arose, I immediately jumped on it…and Gus certainly did not disappoint. He had me cracking up all weekend and was a grade A cuddler - a total snuggle bug. Derek and Brian were super sweet and helpful, as well as incredibly communicative throughout the entire sit.
I felt very welcomed into this lovely sunny home for a short weekend sitting job. Minou is a very sweet older cat who is incredibly healthy and active for his old age. He is a little shy at first, but he is smart and communicates his needs well. Minou is definitely not a low maintenance cat, though. He is on a very regimented diet with a lot of vitamins and supplements and that are mixed in his food or given via manually made capsules. It may seems like a lot, but Lydia has very organized and detailed instructions. She clearly loves her cat a lot, and the effort she put into developing this diet really shows. Even with the feeding schedule, I was able to enjoy the city. This apartment was in a convenient, central location with beautiful views. I would definitely recommend this sit!
