I had a wonderful week staying at Oriel’s peaceful lovely home with sweet Muddy cat . He is a very friendly , companionable cat who chats quite a lot and was lovely company , enjoying strokes and chin rubs . Oriel was generous and very welcoming and I immediately felt at ease with her . The location was wonderful and the garden such a tranquil spot full of birdsong and with views of dartmoor . My room was bright and very comfortable and I enjoyed very much being in the open plan kitchen , dining area and lounge with cosiness provided by a Rayburn and multi-fuel stove as well as central heating . There was interesting art work and plenty of books to browse . Sitting in the sun lounge /conservatory was a great place to sit and just relax . Communication before and during the sit was great . I met Oriel before she left for a really useful handover , she showed me how to give Muddy his pro-biotics and the best ways to care for him regarding his safety from roads and other animals as he’s deaf . There’s a toileting litter area which works well too and makes caring for Muddy’s tummy troubles straightforward . Highly recommended petsit . Thanks for inviting me , I loved it here .
We had a great time staying at Jen and Tom’s house - it is a beautiful home. Dusty and Maltie were great company and very loving. The two dogs got on well together and were easy to walk. Both are very kind natured and loved receiving cuddles and attention. Jen & Tom were very easy to communicate with and very accommodating. We loved our time staying in their stunning home.
Barbara and Kimberly where incredibly kind to us ! The animals were so cute and well educated. We enjoyed our stay so much thanks to the girls. The house was beautiful and clean it was a real pleasure.
I had an amazing stay at Marie and John’s light filled coastal vibe bungalow with everything one could possibly need from multiple serene outdoor seating areas, and a spa, to a gourmet kitchen, all nestled in a wonderful neighbourhood a short walk from the beach. Communication with John and memory was excellent every step of the way. They even arranged for me to meet with a fellow Trusted House sitter staying across the street! Haus is the sweetest biggest puppy ever, shadowing me the whole week, with lots of walks and snuggle time. Frank is a gentle soul of a cat and was lovely to have around. It was hard to leave and I sure hope I can come back and stay with the very loveable Haus and Frank.
It was a delight to sit for Kathryn and David in Hollingbourne. They gave us a very warm welcome and were very thorough with the information given, both in the welcome pack and when we met in person. They have a spacious and extremely comfortable home in which we felt very relaxed. The pets were great fun and very affectionate, keeping us on our toes all week! We had some lovely walks around the North Downs and local area with the dogs, which will stay in our memories as a highlight of our stay. The cats were equally delightful, and a relaxing counterpoint to the energy and fun of the dogs - both sociable and very companionable, especially in the mornings as we were waking up! Thanks so much guys for making us feel welcome and also to the girls for kindly letting us use your rooms. It's great to meet wonderful people while housesitting and we would whole-heartedly recommend sitting for Kathryn and David if you get the chance!

Absolutely great place Allan and the team look after our two dogs every time we go away. New portal works great. They also have a groomer on site and dogs love it here. Jade often posts updates on Facebook; prices have gone up slightly but still well worth the money and very competitive.
Our pups had a great time here. We'll looked after and staff are lovely. Best part of the boarding is getting to see updates of their walks seeing them happily walking makes you feel at ease. The place is right next to a big field so they got a good old run on our way home after they stopped jumping on us of course lol
The staff is amazing and my dog Lucy loves staying with them. They take great care of her and they also have a grooming service after which she smells and looks lovely! She is a regular at the kennels and she loves the staff but Chris is her favourite!! 😁 …

Our wee Roxy stayed here for 4 days, her very first time at a boarding kennel and she had a blast! Roxy is a very nervous dog and can be reactive towards other dogs, we were surprised to find out she met a little friend while in there, we are absolutely over the moon! Regular updates too was amazing. Wee Roxy is now back home happy, although very tired lol. Thank you so much again and will definitely using again in future 😊
Our 2 dogs spent a week at Andelalie for the first time. We returned to two happy healthy dogs and would definitely use them again. They had a Facebook page letting us get picture and video updates of our boys, evidencing regular engagement reassuring us they were not missing out on play time. Whilst there was a mini heatwave we were advised that our boys weren’t being walked and only getting short spells in the sun, which we were pleased to hear. With water play being provided as an option which we were asked for permission about beforehand in the hot weather. Prices were competitive and staff helpful and friendly.
Like me you probably love to holiday with your dog, but there are times when they just can't come along. I would highly recommend Barking Mad for those occasions when you have a special event, need that foreign sun or to visit family & friends abroad. Jakki, Trudi and the team are very professional and genuinely care about dogs. With them I have the confidence that our dog Diesel will be well looked after for the times when he can't tag along. He goes willingly when collected, stays in someone's home, his routine is maintained, comes home in great condition and settles quickly. We like to think that he goes on holiday too, just without us!
Brilliant service. Raven is always so well looked after by the team from start to finish, I have never had a moments worry while she has been with them. She comes home healthy and happy. The hosts always put in a post card in her return bag just to let us know what she has been up too and if she behaved her self!! They all always seem to go above and beyond a basic service.
Known Jakki and Trudy for years and would have no one else look after Coco. A wonderful caring couple who ensure your dog is suitably placed and well looked after while you are away. First class ❤️

We have used Country Getaway Kennels many times now and can’t praise the care Christine and her team give the dogs. They are so excited to be driving up towards the buildings and I leave them knowing they are in safe hands. They stay together in one kennel and there is the option to bring your own food or have it supplied. It is in a lovely quiet area with plenty of space to have walks and run around.
Our girls always stay here and most recently had their longest stay (8 nights) - the girls and we appreciated love and care from the family and owners of Country Getaway Boarding Kennels and will only use them again in the future 🤍 …
May 14 -19 2024. I can't thank Christine and her team enough. I have never put my dogs in kennels before and was a little anxious for me and them . The preparation Christine advised from the 1st visit to view kennels, to the trial day care, to see how the dogs would be to the actual stay was all done with warmth, care and consideration to me and the dogs. Christine made me relaxed and confident that my wee Border Terriers, Daisy (12yrs) and Tilly (19mths) were safe and in good hands. I highly recommend country getaway kennels Christine and her team looked after my girls very well. Will certainly board again. Thankyou Jennifer Marshall
This is an amazing kennel. My dog was scared of everything and everyone but he loved staying here and loved this family. They truly do it as they love dogs & they helped me out so much. The price is really affordable and they don’t do it for the money, they do it because they truly care. Also, the fact that Christine is a vets nurse also will put your mind at ease. This is a first class kennel & I can’t rave about it enough. Your dog will love it!!
It was my dog's first time staying at a Kennels and it was great experience. Christine put any anxiety at ease, and sends you updates over whatsapp if you request. Our dog seemed in very good spirits when we picked him up. Will definitely be back again!
Buddy was here for over a week. Christine and the team were so friendly and welcoming. Christine gave opinion of bringing his own food which I thought was a good option. Kennels is in a remote area so the dogs get walked in beautiful countryside.
Highly recommend Christine and Country Getaway. We have an anxious dog who I love very dearly and always worry about. Christine has done a great job of taking care of her on several occasions. We particularly like that the dogs are separated while they stay, so we don't need to worry about our dog being bullied by more confident dogs. Lovely,family run boarding kennels out in the countryside. Christine took such great care of my lab, it was honestly like a little doggy holiday 😍 really highly recommend this place, and I will be definitely using these kennels if I ever need someone to take care of my dog in the future whilst I am away. Would highly recommend Christine and her family for looking after your wee fur babies. We have used them a few times now and our wee Bella boo has always came back a happy girl. Christine is always so helpful and very quick at responding.
Alison has been wonderful looking after our 2 dogs these last few days. She is very professional and we had no worries leaving our boys (one with medical needs) in her care. She ensured their routine was followed and we came home each day to happy boys. We'd definitely use Alison again.

Lisa was absolutely fantastic when it came to accommodating our dog spike at the last minute. Spike is normally very shy and timid around new people but was right over to her taking biscuits from her!! (they say dogs can sense things so he obviously knew he was in good hands) Lisa updated us with how he was doing both through messages and photos which was great! Spike was well looked after and came out fresh and clean as he had been bathed aswell which was 1 less job for me when I got him home. Would definitely recommend woodhall kennels 5*. Thanks Lisa for everything you did u made me feel at ease leaving spike with you. Will definitely be back. 😘🐶🐕🐩 Xx

Got my dogs back from a 2 night stay and they were wet and smelled of urine Smell was Not pleasant at all.... Lucky I had cover for dogs to sit on in car for me to get them home and straight into bath

Looked after my 2 cats Mog & Milo for 2 weeks & sent me pictures & videos on request. The cats don’t really get along so they put them right next to each other but not together. Great facilities & a lot going on around the place. Will definitely be using them again if I’m away for an extended period.

My 6 month kitten spent 9 days here, her first time away from home. Hana and Margo kept me updated on how Luna was while we were away. Luna has came back as contented as she was when we left her and I could tell she was well looked after while we were away. Margo was lovely and I can’t recommend Rockbank Cattery enough. When we contacted the cattery we received a prompt reply, and we went down to visit before putting our cat in. The pens are purpose built, clean and the cats that were there were content. It is also rigged with cameras and there are horses near the chalet, which put our minds at ease as the cats were safe could watch the horses. John and Margo were very friendly and showed us around. When we took our cat down the handover process was quick. John and Margo updated us with photos of our cat and texted us back promptly when we asked for updates. A couple of pointers for people considering the cattery, though: if you weigh your cats food/your cat is on a diet/has a sensitive tummy/eats specific food please tell the owners this. Upon reflection we should have asked the cattery to weigh our cat’s food and give our cat her own diet (instead of the packet food the cattery provided) because we now have her back and her stools are loose and she has a sore tummy. The cattery provide dry biscuits for the cats throughout the day which is great but our cat imbibed them and when I collected her found that there was a lot of dry sick in her pen. This has never happened with our cat before so it was a bit of a shock. The owners are busy people and will not spend a lot of their time playing with and nurturing your cat so if you want this service then this cattery wouldn’t be suitable for you. When we dropped off and collected our cat there was an element of rush with John and he was keen for us to leave as he said he was very busy with the horses. I completely understand they have a lot to do but the service could have been a bit more relaxed and bespoke, instead of feeling like we were being ushered out as soon as we arrived. Our cat is an indoor cat and we think putting her into a cattery was a shock to her system, and she isn’t currently herself, but we know she will perk up. Overall the owners are friendly and you absolutely get what you pay for (the price is very reasonable), but if you are looking for a bespoke, five star lodging for your cat then you may have to seek this elsewhere.
Been using Rockbank Cattery for 9 years now & wouldn't go anywhere else. The cat pens are spacious in a proper building with ventilation in the summer & heating in the winter. They have everything your cat needs & fairly priced.
I contacted owner about availability. I was then asked for a viewing. Met the owners who were friendly and helpful. Cattery was perfect for what I was looking for. The pens are spacious and clean. The whole place was spotless. Loved the area and the horses aswell.
Collected our cat after a 12 day stay, he seemed very calm and relaxed and was in no hurry to leave. We received a friendly welcome at drop off and collection. The first time we have used this cattery and would definitely use again.
Rude. Unprofessional and lacking personal touch. We had our gorgeous boy booked in and decided against it from one word replies and vague information pre boarding. We asked various questions and each was met with yes/no - did not give any piece of mind our cat would be safe or enjoy the stay. So we decided to go with the other Cattery and could not be happier with the personal tailored replies we received there. Perhaps need to think about being more personable to create a bond between prospective new clients in turn creating return business.

Scott is amazing with our wee Bruce and you can tell he genuinely cares about all the dogs and loves what he does. He is extremely accomodating and has always helped us out with last minute requests. Since I have been working from home, it is great seeing how excited Bruce gets when he hears Scott's van pull up in our drive. I think Scott is the only person that can tire him out too. 5 stars out of 5!
Cant recommend Scott enough. I always feel at ease when my dog is out with him as it is obvious how much he genuinely cares for the dogs he walks. He is very acomodating as my work pattern has changed since covid and is happy to change things at short notice. My dog is always happy to see scott and comes back very tired as he has had a long, fun walk! :)
My dog Mikey's favourite time of the week is going out with Scott and his dog pals 😀. Amazing service and well worth the money. I know Mikey is getting a good run and having great fun when he is out with muddy paws and it is great being able to see all the photos of the walks afterwards.
Been using Muddy Paws since it began and I cannot recommend it enough. Throughout the years, the service has been great and remained consistent. After lockdown, when Muddy Paws came to collect my dog for a walk, I can’t begin to explain how excited my dog was. He loves going out for walks with Muddy Paws and I know he is in safe hands.
Dog's welfare always the number 1 priority! Goes out his way to make sure their needs are catered for, my dog goes crazy for him everytime she see's Scott. Reliable and nothing too much effort, thoroughly recommend!
I cannot praise Scott of Muddy Paws highly enough. My dog Mia has weekly daycare and walks with Scott where she receives the highest standard of care and attention at all times.
