We had the best few days looking after Ruby. Julie’s country home is beautiful, as is the location, with really great walks literally on the doorstep and so much to explore within a short drive. Ruby must be the easiest dog we’ve had the pleasure of looking after. She’s affectionate, intelligent and well trained. Ruby is excellent on walks off lead, she’ll often trot slightly ahead of you literally showing you where to go, or if she’s behind she’ll stop and look at you as if to say ‘wrong way!’ when you start to veer off route. When over-excited dogs come bounding up she just carries on the walk unperturbed. In the car she’s the perfect passenger, and if you stop for coffee (the farm shop in Midhurst is well worth a visit) she won’t make a fuss, she’ll just sit calmly by your side. Not once did we have to worry about Ruby either in or out of the home, and it made the few days we spent with her in the South Downs so enjoyable. Thank you again Julie, we loved our time with your special dog Ruby and hope to return one day. All the best, J&H
