Wow! We highly recommend this housesit to others! It is a real gem, and we feel fortunate to have spent an entire month with Annie in Brookline! Dick and Susan were easy to work with and generous hosts. They provided written instructions, reinforced them with a walk through their routines and were good communicators. Their lovely townhouse is clean, spacious, comfortable and in a safe neighborhood. This "urban oasis" provides an amazing location from which to explore Brookline & all of Boston. Nearly everything one needs is within a 10-minute (or less) walk, including grocery stores, drug stores, a post office, a hair salon, several restaurants and bakeries, and more! In every direction, there are interesting walks... J.F.K.'s childhood home is 1/2 mile away, the vintage architecture of 'Cottage Farm Historic District' is less than a mile away, and it was just over a mile to Boston University Bridge where we watched a regatta on the Charles River. A 6-minute walk took us to the "T" (it stops at Coolidge Corner about every 15 minutes) which networks to locations all over Boston; despite exploring nearly every day of the month, we still haven't seen it all! Annie is easy to care for, though she was initially apprehensive towards us. Our friendship evolved: First day, she hid from us. Next couple of days, she joined us, but hissed, or batted at us with a paw, if we got into her personal space. Eventually, she accepted our friendship and pursued our attention by placing a gentle paw on one of us, or sitting next to us on the couch; she even crawled onto our laps a handful of times. In the end, we had grown quite fond of one another, and it was sad to say goodbye to that beautiful bundle of fluff! We thoroughly enjoyed our month in Boston, and hope we get to return to this housesit in the future. Thank you for a memorable month, Dick & Susan!
Great sit!!!
Arnor and Leah and their family live in a gorgeous house in a great location in Pasadena. We had the opportunity to zoom with them and also meet them and the dogs and fish before we began our pet sit which was great. They had everything prepared for our sit along with a great welcome guide with lots of info about the dogs and fish, their routines, house and neighborhood info. They were also great communicators throughout the sit and their neighbours were lovely too. Their house literally has everything you could need... a beautiful backyard and front porch area, comfy bed, great AC, coffee and more. Maggie and April were a delight to look after and play with for two weeks. We found them to be pretty energetic in the mornings, on their walks, and in the early evenings. Most of the day they would otherwise sleep or play together or follow us around the house, haha. The fish were chill obviously. Thank-you for having Noel and I. Give Maggie and April a pat and a treat from us both! :)
I loved staying with Jénia and Hallo, they are such lovely babies with amazing personalities that you can fully trust. Plus they are very obedient and well behaved. Thomas and Alissa are so welcoming, they stay with you the first night to teach about everything that needs to be done. The house is gorgeous and so comfy, it is a bit isolated but with a bicycle, moto or car, you can get everywhere you need to be. Thank you so much again for this opportunity, I hope e can repeat soon 😻
Really enjoyed my stay here. Beautiful home. Pugsly was so fun to be with. Easy going, easy to look after and such a character. Raja was a beautiful cat although she was the most shy cat I’ve ever met. Eventually she warmed up to me and cuddled. Thanks Andrea for being so great too!
We had a great weekend staying with Duffy and Dawsey at Kates. Such a warm welcome from Kate and her house and surroundings are stunning. Very easy and clear instructions are given so you know exactly what is required and where everything you need is. The boys have such a great temperament and are happy to be out walking or equally chilling in their beds (after the walk). They are well behaved on and off the lead with good recall. Enjoyable weekend and would do it all again.
