This conveniently located home with eclectic charm, organic garden and high energy lovable fur babies made our 5 week stay memorable.... Many thanks Victoria for opening your home to us and entrusting your fur babies to our care....
I really enjoyed the stay at Chriss's and Risas nice apartment with a huge terrace in Düsseldorf. There are a lot of restaurants and shopping opportunities around and a good connection with the tram to the old town and central station. Their cat Professor Schroedienger is very friendly and relaxed who likes to cuddle a lot. After two days we became good friends and it was hard to leave him after nearly 3 weeks. Chris and Risa where very helpful and easy for communication and erverything was well organized that I had no questions left for the treatment and handling of little Professor. At any time again.
Liz and her family have a beautiful, stylish, clean and very comfortable cottage in the heart of the Peak District.l with everything you need to have a great stay. The cottage is part of a row of cottages with a beautiful rural view of a horse paddock and gardens (over a dry stone wall of course) so a very dreamy setting. We had a really lovely week looking after Gwyn, who is a really sprightly cat with a great personality and very good with children. She is quite independent but likes to have people home to nuzzle up to and likes lying on laps and snoozing. Liz made us feel very welcome, with great tips on the village and local area - everything was laid out in the house before our arrival to make us feel like we were at home and our kids immediately loved the house and the toys! The cottage has a lovely calm vibe and we had a really relaxing week. The dirt road in front of the cottage leads to a great little walk with plenty of streams for children to wade in and other longer walks branching off from there. The neighbours were all very friendly and we were given some spare bottles of milk when the milkman over delivered - definitely not a London neighbourhood! We didn’t get round to walking up the Cracken just outside the house because of the weather - but there is so much to do in the area that we will definitely be back to do some more! There’s a great pub in the village (the Old Hall Inn) and on rainy days there is the Blue John Cavern near Castleton which is also worth a visit. The Peak District was new to me and I’m really glad we discovered it staying like locals in Liz’s cottage! Our kids were really sad to leave and I would definitely recommend as a housesit.
This was my favorite sit so far! Boyo is such a sweet, soft ball of fluff. He's lovable and occasionally playful, and good at communicating what he wants, which is usually going out on the balcony. He was a nice companion while I was working, and occasionally slept near my legs in the bed. I'll miss petting him! Christine's apartment is comfortable and located in a fantastic neighborhood. She has a nice work from home setup for remote workers like me. I loved walking around the neighborhood every day, checking out all the murals and scoping out hip restaurants and coffee shops. You won't run out of good food and drink options here, and it's a bonus that a grocery store is just a couple blocks away. Parking was easy, so on days that I drove to other parts of Charlotte to explore cool spots like Optimist Hall and Camp North End, I didn't have to worry about finding a free parking spot when I got back. I highly recommend this sit for anyone who wants to enjoy some time in Charlotte!
Monica and Terrence are EARTH ANGELS in the flesh!!!! If you get the opportunity to sit for them RUN don’t walk. Seriously, it was an absolute joy to watch over their sweet girls Shanti and Khushi (total love bugs) - not to mention their home is an IMMACULATE stay for the soul 🥰🌺 They were absolute DREAM hosts. It was such a beautiful surprise to be invited over for dinner beforehand, and to get the lay of the land before they left. We felt 1000% comfortable (and even spoiled) staying there 😆 Fresh flowers upon arrival, and an absolutely gorgeous home prepared. Anything we needed, they were available instantly during our stay. ✨ They had unexpected gifts for us around every corner, and the BEST recommendations for our time 🤩 Not to mention, Shanti and Khushi will steal your heart with cuddles and love and you may tear up saying goodbye to them on the way out ♥️ We would recommend this a million and a half times!!!! Monica and Terrence are now friends of our soul, and so are the sweet girls. 🐾 If you are lucky enough to receive this opportunity, enjoy it to the fullest and shower these humans in love!!!!! 🥰😍🥳 Our favorite Trusted Housesitters experience to date!!!
Jaclyn and Nick were great hosts! They gave clear and thorough instructions and were prompt communicators before and during the sit. Scout may take a few minutes to warm up to you, but then she is such a sweetheart. She is smart, beautiful, well-behaved, and a great walker. I highly recommend this sit and would be happy to return.
