The absolute best pet care service in Boston! I have used Happy Pet Care for cat visits for years now and they deliver first class service every single time. They took dedicated time to understand my cat's personality and needs before their first visit and I love that I get pictures of him and updates for each visit. Each time I come home I can tell he was very loved and had lots of play time. I truly can't recommend this service enough and am incredibly grateful for them all!

Happy pet care took care of my cats while I went away for a few days. Mary was very quick at communicating and setting things up smoothly and efficiently. The cat sitters were great, giving me daily reports with pictures which made me feel confident they were very well taken care of. I came back to kitties that were happy and healthy. When I lived in Fenway I used to use Rover for all my pet sitting needs. But it was a pricy service and I had to do a lot of research and vetting when choosing someone who would look after our small dog. I moved to Brighton during the pandemic and have since relied on Happy Pet Care for all our walking and sitting needs. Mary, the owner is extremely good at communicating. She is quick to schedule us in even the night before (so sorry Mary). We set up autopay so I don't have to worry about the hassle and with fixed rates every time I know exactly what the cost will be upfront as opposed to Rover which can charge me different rates depending on who is working. Happy Pet Care did increase their prices during the end of the pandemic to adjust for the rise in cost of living. I appreciated the transparency about the cost increase and the sensitivity with which it was communicated to me. I would also like to personally recommend Debra, who has cared for our dog multiple times. I feel that everyone at Happy Pet Care gets to know my dog, and seeing the same people get to know her makes me feel secure that she is in good hands and that she can recognize who is caring for her without the added stress of meeting a stranger. Happy Pet Care is a great small business that we can rely on. I have been recommending their services to new dog owners in the area and I would certainly recommend them to you.

I needed a dog walker in Brighton for our new rescue and came across glowing reviews for Happy Pet Care. They are professional, super flexible, and really care about your pet. Mary is very easy to work with and very responsive. Our first meeting was with Jen and she was great with our dog and asked all the right questions. Sean was our main dog walker and he was so caring with our dog - she is 12 years old and he never got annoyed with how slow she needed to walk. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the level of quality care you get. We will greatly miss their services in the suburbs!

We've been using Happy Pet Care for dog walks 2-3 times per week since we adopted our lab mix puppy (now over a year ago). Mary is always so responsive, kind and flexible - which is so important when you have a dog. There have been multiple occasions where we need to switch days, length of walks, or add on an additional walk. Mary has almost always been able to accommodate us! Our walker is mostly either Sophia, Jen, or Mary herself. My pup can be nervous around new people when her humans aren't around, and they have all been wonderfully patient with our pup. Thanks for helping us care for our fur baby! Updated review: It has now been 2.5 years using Happy Pet Care. We could not ask for a better, more reliable, patient, understanding, and kind dog walking service. We've had Mary, Sophia, Jen, Matt, and Debra walk our pup - and they've all been great. Mary is always very responsive, and easy to work with, even with last minute changes. Additionally, her prices have not gone up, while other services we use for our pup have. The dog walks are high quality with a great price, and a lot of flexibility (because life happens). We're sad that our pup won't have them for her mid day walks while we're at work after we move.

I spent two weeks out of town and Lisa from Happy Pet Care came by my apartment twice a day to look after my rabbit, Auggie. I've never left my bun alone for a such a long time and was initially anxious about the separation, but Lisa was wonderful in every way. First, she had previous experience caring for her own rabbit, which was important to me because rabbits are nonverbal creatures and require someone who is familiar with their signs of illness or distress. Second, she sent sweet text and photos updates of Auggie twice a day, and it was apparent that he was both happy and comfortable in her care. Third, Lisa went above and beyond in caring for my bun--she weathered fierce storms to check on him, doted on him with his favorite salad greens, arranged a last-minute emergency visit when my flight home was delayed, and showered him with so much affection that not once did I worry about Auggie during the two weeks that I was gone. Can't recommend Happy Pet Care enough, and Ms. Lisa especially! She's my go-to gal from here on out whenever I'm heading out of town.

We have been using Happy Pet Care for about two years now and we could not be happier with the thoughtful, thorough care they have provided for our two dogs and two cats over this time. We have relied on Mary and her staff for individual walks, taxis, and cat sitting. We simply would not be able to manage our lives without Happy Pet Care. Mary is wonderfully responsive and always works hard to accommodate our requests, even when we have to make them at the last minute due to unforeseen changes. Mary's staff, particularly Jen and Renee, have always been nothing short of amazing. Renee in particular always goes so far above and beyond, and she treats all our pets like they were her own. We consider ourselves and our pets to be very lucky to have connected with Mary and her staff.

Above & Beyond Pet Services is wonderful. I transitioned my King Charles Cavalier to dog walks about 12 months ago from doggie daycare as I realized he preferred the one on one attention. Sophia has been his primary walker for several months now. She is very attentive to Asher and will always mention in her notes if she notices anything out of the ordinary. I met her and she is very kind and caring. I know that Asher is in good hands and that she is able to adjust to his needs each day which differ based on my schedule with him and if we walked the prior night or earlier in the morning. I know that he looks forward to spending time with her whether they walk or play depending on his needs for the day I know she is giving him lots of love and attention. I am so grateful to have this incredible reliable and professional service for my dog who is my family.

Elise and Lillian walked our aging pup under the senior walk program (2x a day). They were both amazing, and Maya loved all of her walkers from A&B, but these two take the cake! I've been using Above & Beyond for years, and they've always done a great job taking care of my two cats. I have them bring in my mail, in addition to putting out food and water, and scooping the litter. I get nervous about leaving my cats for trips, but the daily email updates A&B sends with photos of the cats and the services they're doing really puts my mind at ease. Alexis is fantastic with cats. She is very attuned to their personalities and eager to meet their needs. Our three cats are not very social but they have all quickly warmed to her gentle attention and her spirit of fun. Alexis is extremely reliable and attentive and we trust her completely. Alexis has been a great dog walker for my 65 pound Goldendoodle, Bailey! He is a good boy, but does require extra attentiveness to keep him from eating things he should not eat during walks. He really is relentless about it, so I would not trust him with just anyone. Alexis pays extra attention to prevent this, which is especially important as he is a resource guarder, so once he gets something it is very hard to get it from him and I definitely don't want him eating things that could be harmful to him. I trust Alexis to help keep him safe. She has been very helpful to me during times when I was injured and recovering from surgery and could not walk Bailey myself as well as when I was on vacation and needed someone to walk him while my friend staying with him was at work. On top of it all, Alexis shows Bailey lots of love and he gets very excited when she comes, giving lots of hugs and kisses! I highly recommend Alexis! She has been great for my very lovable, very good, but a bit difficult big boy!!

I highly recommend Alexis for pet care. She has taken care of my cat when I've been away on trips for 6 years now. I have been very happy with her care - as has my cat. Alexis actually takes the time to brush and pet her when she visits, not just clean the litter box and give her food. When I return my cat is calm and content - which tells me she felt cared for while I was away. Alexis also pays attention to the details, leaving things neat and tidy. She has a deep sense of compassion for animals and clearly feels a sense of responsibility to do a job thoroughly. I couldn't ask for more. Alexis is simply a pet owner dream came true. She is a pet whisperer. My older cats who wouldn't accept anyone till after 11th visit came to cuddle with her instantly. Bebe and Dan are amazing! I needed someone to watch my puppy for a last minute day trip, and they were very responsive, accommodating and reasonably priced. I received photos of Olive throughout the day and felt confident she was in great hands. You can tell they truly love and care about animals. I also really appreciate the day care/overnight stays are in a home environment vs. a kennel. I was able to enjoy my trip without worrying about Olive, was confident she was in great care. Ms B's Pet Care is awesome! I live in the Seaport area and Bebe is so good with my two pups. She has taken care of our furbabies on multiple occasions and the pups were just so happy to stay with her. Bebe is very responsive, caring and provides regular (and super cute) updates / pictures whenever I leave my pups with her. It is so hard to find someone who will take care of the dogs and treat them like their own - we are lucky we have Bebe in the neighborhood. Highly recommend her.

I highly recommend Ms. B’s Pet Care! She has been taking care of our 2 year old French Bulldog, Sophia, for the last few months and we have been extremely pleased with her services. I highly recommend Ms. B’s Pet Care! Ms. B has been walking and taking care of my australian shepherd puppy since she was 11 weeks old and I am very pleased with her services. I contacted Ms. B weeks before I adopted my puppy and she was extremely responsive to my questions and went above and beyond to be helpful by providing suggestions for veterinarians in the neighborhood and a fantastic dog trainer, not to mention advice in general about raising the puppy, which proved to be some of the best advice I received! She also works on my dog’s training when she takes her on walks and even taught her “leave it” (which I really appreciated). Ms. B is very professional and always sends me detailed updates about her walks with my dog. She also sends me beautiful pictures. I never worry about my dog when she is with Ms. B because I know she is in the best hands. When my dog and I run into Ms. B around the neighborhood, my dog gets so excited and wiggles all the way over to her to say hi! I have been using Mrs. B’s for 2 years now and I use her often to take care of my two cats. She always send photos each time she visits which I really appreciate. I would absolutely recommend Ms B for your pet care needs! Bogey was boarded with Ms B for a week and we received photo updates every day. She took him on daily walks with other dogs and had lots of toys for him to play with. It’s clear she loves dogs and can make them feel right at home in her home. Bogey even slept in their bed and really became part of the family. At our first meeting, it was instantly obvious how well-known Ms. B and her dog Beignet are in the neighborhood. We will definitely use Ms. B’s boarding services again!

I recently moved to a new apartment and needed to find a new cat care service for when I travel. I was anxious about finding the right person as my cat (Jet) is skittish and shy and mostly hides when visitors are over. I reached out to Mrs. B’s and arranged a meet and greet. Bebe’s approach with Jet was gentle and patient and after a few minutes he took to Bebe and was asking her for attention. Needless to say I felt so much better about having to travel for a couple weeks. While I was away, Mrs. B’s sent daily updates and photos and let me know Jet was in great hands. My apartment was well taken care of with the litter and area kept clean, food and water were fresh. I returned to a happy cat and home just as I left them!

I highly recommend Boston's Best Dog Walkers!! They take such great care of my dog Lucky. He has gone to their board and train program several times, but recently I transitioned to using their walking services ~3x a week (group walks, 45mins). He gets to walk with other dogs and sometimes they play at the park down the street which is awesome. All of the walkers leave such nice notes in the app and take great pictures. It is easy to schedule online and I like that I can also see what time they arrived/left, where they walked, etc in the app. Thank you BBDW!!

I loved the cat home visit service while I was away! Both Dana and Nathan sent me photos, journal updates on food and water intake, if Birdie let them pet her (she's very skittish) and it was very comforting to know she was so well cared for. I received an email when they were on their way and when they started their visit.... Really appreciated the reassurance she was doing just fine! These guys are great! We get very busy during the Holidays and need the extra help, especially with our toddler. The walkers are always professional and seem almost as excited to walk my dog as the dog is to be walked. I can't recommend them enough!

Top-notch care by really caring humans. I love The Mindful Mutt crew! They truly care for my pup and work with her to stimulate her little brain. The fact that this is a *structured* daycare makes a huge difference in my dog's life. They play, train, and rest during the day. The scheduled rest times ensure my dog will not go into overdrive and remains a happy, balanced dog. When I pick up my Luna she is physically and mentally tired and never wants to leave. I can't sing any more praises to Deanna and her team. They are the best!!

We love The Mindful Mutt! My dog is pretty anxious but the staff is thoughtful about how they handle each dog and very kind. Almost every day at pick up, a member of their team gives me a little overview of how the day went. Deanna, the owner, is super responsive and communicative. My dog seems to really like all of them! They also take videos throughout the day and post to instagram — it’s so nice to be able to check in and see how they are doing.

The Mindful Mutt is fantastic! We have a very high energy dog who loves to play and run around almost nonstop. He always comes home tired and happy. Every time I bring him he gets super excited and now doesn't even look back when I drop him off! The staff are great and knowledgeable, and Deanna, the owner, loves working with dogs and had years of experience. I can't recommend Mindful Mutt more highly!

The mindful mutt is a doggy day care on a whole new level. The owner, Deanna, is wonderful and will take great care of your pup. The dogs get to play and do mind games during their stay, keeping them engaged a happy. They get a walk as needed, and they can even stay overnight - with Deanna on site! We have searched long and hard around Boston for day care, with a wide range of staff/facility "levels" (to stay nice) but this place is by far the best. We love Mindful Mutt — they take excellent care of our senior dachshund when we are out of town, and we get many many photos of him as an office assistant giving kisses to the team. Everyone is so gentle and relaxed and we can’t overstate how much we appreciate the great care.

We left our dog Lucy with the Mindful Mutt while we had to travel for two weeks and we felt very comfortable that she was being taken care of. The staff was all very kind and you can tell they care for the dogs. They were also very prompt to respond and provide updates on Lucy during her stay (we loved seeing the pictures and videos of her posted to instagram!). Our little puppy Mack has been going to The Mindful Mutt weekly (+ some overnights) for over 4 months now. Deanna and the entire Mindful Mutt team are some of the most caring people in general, let alone with animals. It has been such a an amazing experience bringing Mack. Instead of causing a ruckus at home, he gets to go a few days a week to play (and learn how to play) with all sorts of other dogs, works on his skills, and gets to have some structure in his energetic puppy life. We love TMM!

We feel unbelievably fortunate to have found The Mindful Mutt. We have two dogs and we trust Deanna implicitly with them. The team is also extremely responsive when we call with questions and they reach out to us timely if there's anything they need to bring to our attention while our dogs are there. We seriously won't board our dogs anywhere else at this point. It's so comforting knowing we can go out of town and our dogs are at a place where they're cared for and happy. Incredible experience with the team at Boston Dog Butlers! They always take such good care of our corgi Marty. Their app makes it incredibly easy to book services and they always send great reports with lots of photos. They also offer such a great selection of different services ranging from hiking trips, to boarding, standard walks, and playing at the park. We are so lucky to have such a full service dog business as professional and easy to work with as them!

We have been bringing our dog to Boston Dog Butlers since he was a tiny puppy. Melissa does a great job with him every single time. Melissa and the team are always so excited to see him, and it makes me feel good about leaving him in their care for a few hours at a time! We’ve been extremely satisfied with every haircut he’s been given, and Melissa will text me throughout the appointment with any questions or concerns so I’m totally in the loop. If you are considering using Boston Dog Butlers - do it! They are incredibly professional, responsive, and reliable. Most importantly, they truly love the doggos and it shows. I moved across the country with my dog in February and went from having a backyard to no yard. I was very nervous about how Evie would adjust but thanks to BDB she did great and loves her new life in Boston. They’ve also worked with her on improving her recall and decreasing reactivity while on leash. A fellow dog mom recommended Melissa & Jamie at Boston Dog Butlers Pet Spa on Tremont over conversation at the dog park and, 18 months later, we cannot imagine taking our little guy anywhere else! Our mini Labradoodle is quite sensitive, tends to be shy and significantly dislikes being groomed or brushed in most areas... even by us. He unfortunately had a couple of negative grooming experiences prior to finding BDB which contributed to his fears. As a breed with hair that requires a good amount of maintenance, this has presented quite a challenge. Melissa and Jamie at Boston Dog Butlers Pet Spa have been absolutely incredible -- amazingly patient, kind and caring in each interaction (with both canines and humans alike!). They have worked hard to build trust and rapport with our pup, meeting him where he is and slowly growing his confidence. Their approach is consultative, professional and always prioritizes the dog and their experience, informed by the team's in-depth knowledge and training. They take breaks for play, treats and always make sure he leaves on a high note! We love that we can be confident that they will do a great job aesthetically, while most importantly respecting and supporting his needs and comfort on psychological and emotional levels. He now pulls us toward the shop whenever we're in the area -- always a telling sign! 🐶 We cannot recommend Melissa, Jamie and their team highly enough!! Pro tip: Be sure to book ahead as the BDB team is in high demand. 🐾

I cannot recommend Boston Dog Butlers enough! I took my dog to BDB for his first grooming experience when he was a puppy and we've been going there ever since. My dog is an anxious rescue, but Jamie, Melissa, and the whole BDB team make him feel safe and comfortable. I always know he's in good hands when I take him in for his full service bath. The staff are also incredibly friendly and accommodating, and simply some of the kindest people I've had the pleasure of meeting. They are communicative, professional, and truly care about the wellbeing of the dogs. I moved to the suburbs over a year ago and still bring my dog to BDB because nowhere else compares!

We have been bringing our dog Rosie to Boston Dog Butlers since she was a puppy for puppy grooming. We love how attentive, accommodating and patient they are with Rosie. Rosie gets really nervous around new people/dogs, and hates being groomed. Rosie was having a fit and refused to get her face trimmed. Cassidy was very patient and kind with Rosie, but decided to continue the following day since she didn't want to make it a negative experience for Rosie by pushing it too much. Boston Dog Butlers is a great to work with! My 16 month old golden retriever has visited Dog Butlers for grooming for a few months now and always looks fantastic when he returns home. The team is skillful, friendly and knowledgeable and always pleasant to schedule/speak with. My pup sees Cassidy who truly loves him and is so gentle and truly goes above and beyond. Boston Dog Butlers to the rescue! I have a 6 year old shih tzu mix who was formerly abused, and grooming is REALLY not her favorite. We've only ever found two grooming salons that could handle her shenanigans, Boston Dog Butlers being one of them! The entire team at Dog Butlers has always taken such special care of both my pup and me (worried mom) - they make sure our appointments are at a time when they won't be too busy so my pup is less stressed, and they always give me updates even before she's finished. They are so gentle with her and to my absolute shock, the first time I picked her up post-groom, she didn't want to leave! I am blown away by their service and no longer dread grooming appointments. I never write reviews for anything, but I must say I’m so glad I found BDB that I feel compelled. I’m a first time dog owner of a WFT - high grooming needs and strong personality. I started taking him to Melissa for basic grooming like baths, nails, small trims, since he was a tiny puppy and she’s been great with him. Last week I took him in for a full hand strip and she did an amazing job despite it being a very labour intensive and skilful task (the first two strips were done by a WFT breeder, but Melissa honestly did just a great a job!). On top of that my puppy loves going there and is always happy to return! I also use BDB for my puppy’s walks with Ciara - who has been absolutely amazing with him and he loves her like a family member! Overall very impressed with the professionalism, honesty and responsiveness of BDB.

Kassandra has been pet sitting for us for many years. We feel very comfortable and trusting Kassandra with both the care of our family members as well as our home. We had such an amazing experience with Kassandra’s pet care. She watched our 1 year old puppy for a week while we traveled outside the country . She was very responsive and sent us multiple daily updates with photos & videos! Our puppy had a lot of energy and Kassandra’s close proximity to a large park was perfect. We never waited more than 10 minutes for a text back . We will definitely use her services again and would highly recommend her.

Kassandra has been a fantastic and reliable pet sitter for my cat Shiro! Her communication (via text and email) is consistently prompt, and she has always provided video updates when checking-in on my cat - which are always a great reminder that my fur buddy is doing well and in good hands! I have been traveling several times a year (including two separate vacations that were each one month long), and I have always felt reassured that my cat is being watched by someone so caring and responsible. We have been using Kassandra’s services for several years now to help take care of our cat Izzy when we are out of town. She is fantastic and super reliable! She comes to our apartment to give her food and fresh water, and keeps her company for a while since she’s alone in the house all day. We’re very picky with our cat sitters as our Izzy is very shy and has some eating restrictions, and Izzy loves when Kassandra comes to visit! She sends us lots of photos and videos of Izzy coming to the door to greet her purring and asking for pets, or snuggled up on her lap looking happy as can be. Her daily updates help us feel at ease knowing Izzy is being so well cared for while we are away. I would recommend Kassandra to anybody looking for a caring and attentive pet sitter!

I can’t recommend Kassandra enough! She is friendly, helpful and reliable, and always takes fantastic care of my cat when I’m away, including sending text updates with videos each time she visits. She is very responsive and flexible with scheduling visits as well, which makes traveling much easier. It’s been great to find a cat sitter who is so dependable and who I can tell really cares for the animals she is taking care of. And most importantly, I can tell my cat always feels happy and secure hanging out with her too :) Highly recommend.

I can’t recommend Kassandra enough for the all important job of providing care to your beloved pets! She is incredibly committed, thorough, and absolutely adored by our two cats. Before our first trip away, she came over to meet the cats and become familiar with their environment. Each day she texted us brief recaps of her two visits and sent photos and videos of our happy and healthy boys. Any pet who will be out of their owner’s care for a period of time will be very happy to have Kassandra visit until their human gets home!

Kassandra was our dog walker for many years and our dog LOVED her!!! Daisydoo couldn't contain herself any time Kassandra came to pick her up and would even try and get into a car that looked like hers!!! Kassandra was incredibly dependable and reliable and rarely took time off without giving us plenty of advance notice to make other arrangements when need be. She was also very accommodating to any changes in our schedule and would often help us out last minute when an emergency arose. The only reason we stopped seeing Kassandra was because we moved too far way otherwise we would still be using her on a regular basis. She's the best!

After recently moving to Boston we were nervous and stressed about finding someone to watch our senior dog while we went out of town but we are so fortunate to have come across Ethan and Elisa! They have now watched our Ollie several times and they have always been friendly, responsive and treated him like their own. They always send multiple updates throughout the day along with photos and videos. Ollie always comes home happy and we have peace of mind knowing he’s well cared for while we’re away! Elisa and Ethan are absolutely amazing! I had a wonderful experience boarding my Golden Retriever, Dawson, with them for a weekend while traveling through Boston. They were very helpful, kind, responsive, and accommodating throughout the entire process from booking to drop-off to pick-up. They took incredible care of Dawson and kept me updated throughout the weekend with lots of photos and videos. Dawson looked as happy as can be while he was there, and I’m sure he wishes that he could have stayed longer to hangout with them and the other pups some more lol. I cannot recommend them enough! Five stars doesn’t suffice — they deserve more than that!!

I was so happy to find Pawmenities! Ethan was a wonderful sitter very responsive and sent great photos and videos. Kaia had so much fun, play time, and exercise. She met Ethan's pup they were so sweet and friendly with her. I will definitely be using them again for future boarding! Highly recommended!

Ethan and Elisa are incredible caregivers for our pup Maui! He is super high energy and playful, and he always has the best time with them and comes home safe and happy. The Daily Stroll has been a second home for our dog since he was a tiny puppy. The staff and the manager Eric obviously LOVE our dog and have helped raise him. This large dog facility is great for our small but very high energy pup, and he always gets nice and tuckered out playing with the other dogs. We feel lucky to have this option close to home, and would highly recommend it to any local dog owners.

I rely so much on the Daily Stroll staff at 1117–Eric, Andrew, Ashelya and Ana—to take good care of my dog with my work demands. They make a good routine and an enjoyable life with my dog possible. Huge appreciation!!!

Updated review: My dog has now been going to Leash Dog care for almost 2 years and has never had any issues. The team are attentive, always updating me with pictures, and my dog clearly has a wonderful time. On top of that they work around my schedule so nicely and are accommodating as well. I will continue to recommend them if looking for overnight care, playgroup or even a walker!

Darrell and his team at Leash have been caring for my dog and cats while We’re out of town traveling for years now. They always provide consistent, responsible care, send me photos while I’m away, and my pets are always happy and cared for when I return.

We have been using Leash Dog Care walking services in different occasions and Darrell and his team are always on time to pick Lily up. She always returns happy and gets very excited when she knows that somebody from Leash is waiting outside the door for her. Darrell is very responsible and always responds our questions. He does his job with love and it's noticeable.

The playgroups are wonderful and, when our dog has boarded with Darrell, our dog seemed to be having a vacation of his own with the other doggies! Our dog Ozzy loves leash! We have used leash many times for dog walking and boarding. They are very communicative and always send cute pictures and updates on how our dog is doing. They also are very flexible with pick up/drop off times for boarding. Highly recommend!
