Our pet sit for Phil and Ian was amazing! The communication from Phil was next level. He gave us insider tips for just about anything and everything we had questions about, and would even go so far as to draw maps up on Google maps or send pinned locations. Also he knows ALL the best food spots!!! Like seriously- all of them lol. Ian was a walking history book and provided great insight into the must see sites around Berlin. They both made our experience visiting Berlin feel more like a guided tour than a pet sit lol! The apartment was clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities you could need (the espresso machine is amazing). Also if you enjoy sleeping on cool clouds for beds then you’ll love the bed in your room!! Last but far from least! Hovey and Pippi were a joy to care for. These kittens were so sweet and easy. They would rub up on you when they’d like attention and then scurry off to their favorite lounging spots in the apartment. They love sunbathing on the patio! We loved playing with the laser and various cat toys with them. Overall the pet sit was an 11/10 experience. We’d recommend this pet sit time and time again. :) Thank you SO much Phil and Ian for having us!
We had the most marvellous fortnight looking after Liquorice and Twix. Sally and Barrie were generous and hospitable hosts, and it was great to get to know them, their daughter and the dogs before the family went off on holiday. The dogs were a pleasure to look after; Liquorice is an effervescent bundle of fun, always ready to chase a ball, and loves a cuddle in the quieter times. Twix, despite his size, is a soft, amiable boy, and is very affectionate. He’s got no idea of his bulk and so needs a bit of robust handling on walks. We made friends with them very quickly, and they were a joy to look after. The house is very comfortable, right next to a bus-stop and easy to travel to and from. We had a great time exploring parts of the West Midlands which we didn’t know well, including several National Trust properties, as well as trips to Bridgnorth and Birmingham. We really loved being with the dogs and would have no hesitation in recommending Sally’s and Barrie’s place to petsit.
If I could leave six stars
Jenny and Richard were nothing shy of the perfect hosts. They provided us with a detailed welcome guide and were always quick to answer any questions we had. Their home is stunning, well equipped and in a peaceful neighbourhood. There is a lovely view out the back and we often had our morning coffee whilst gazing upon squirrels, birds, rabbits & lizards. Finn was a delight to look after. He loves going outside to explore all the nearby woodland walks. He was always extremely well behaved for us, especially around other walkers & dogs. He is also very playful and loves playing with his toys after dinner which was a highlight for us. He is a very easy dog to look after and I’m sure he would provide any future house sitter with as much joy as we had with him. We would love the opportunity to house sit for Finn sometime again in the future.
