What a lovely place in a beautiful street. It was a pleasure looking after the house and the 2 little dogs Chewy and Cosmo. Kate and Henry were very chilled and welcoming. The house was at the end of the street, it was quiet, private, and safe. Communication was great and they left a couple of easy to follow notes that made the stay easier. The little dogs loved hanging in the big front yard, and are ready to play whenever you're up for it. Other times, their company with each other was more than enough to keep them satisfied and content.
I had a great week in Abbotsford with Primrose. Kirsty and Daniel’s house is lovely and in a beautiful spot. I enjoyed exploring the area and it was also easy to get to the city. Primrose is a very friendly and affectionate cat and was great company and easy to look after. Would definitely sit again and recommend for anyone else.
Mary and Paul did everything to make me feel welcome and comfortable in their lovely, large, clean, and organized rural home. I greatly appreciated the time spent over the phone before I agreed to the sit and the time in person going over everything once I arrived. They are very generous, kind hosts. The dogs, Willow and Daisy were very sweet and easy to care for. They were wonderful company and enjoyed the views from the deck with me. :) The home was quiet and peaceful with nice neighbours nearby if I needed anything. I slept wonderfully in their very comfy, well appointed guest room. I missed Daisy's little snuggles and Willow's requests for scratches after the sit ended. xo
From everything we’d heard, we knew Vashon Island, WA was a special place. What we did not know is how much we would come to love 2-yr old Kuni. She was immediately friendly, affectionate, and eager to spend time with us. This lab will play fetch for as long as you want; she has so much energy! After a good run/walk she will plop down for a long rest. The chickens were self-sufficient and were happy to see us approach every day with our table scraps. We enjoyed the beauty and calm of Mike and Hiro’s Zen sanctuary. The foliage surrounding the home contains an incredible variety of perennials; some you recognize, some you don’t see often (if ever). In June, we were treated to the garden in bloom, everything was expertly blended and displayed in a variety of beds. Birds, butterflies, and hummingbirds abound. An expansive deck and many cozy seating areas tucked around the property allows one to enjoy the beauty from various angles. We took advantage of this outdoor paradise for our daily yoga sessions. The house is a five-minute walk to public beach access, we enjoyed walking on the beach with Kuni and visiting the Pt Robinson Lighthouse with awesome views of Mt Rainer. Another highlight was taking a forest hike along Shingle Mill Creek with Kuni. We appreciated Mike & Hiro’s well-equipped kitchen as we cooked most of our meals at home. Mike and Hiro are very organized and gracious hosts. Communication was great before, during, and after our stay. If you get an invite to sit with Kuni, say YES! We would return any time!
I had such a wonderful sit with Summer! She is so sweet and cuddly and I bonded with her so well! Gerri provided clear and helpful care instructions and her home was so welcoming and cozy. I felt like I could settle in right away and that I could get support if I needed anything! Summer and I spent a lot of time cuddling, on walks, and at pet friendly restaurants and shops and it was a wonderful way to spend the weekend. I told Gerri I wanted to take Summer home with me and I would love to sit for her again!
