I had a memorable stay at Harvey and Georgiana's lovely home, where I received a warm and hospitable welcome after a long drive. Boudu is a delightful, affectionate cat and I thoroughly enjoyed her company throughout my sojourn in a lovely part of France. The comfort, books, peace and quiet were very much appreciated. Many thanks.
My husband and I had a fantastic time sitting with Ruby and Magog for a few days. While on hikes, Ruby was very responsive to calls and whistles and waited for us at every intersection. We took her on the trails behind the house and also drove her in our car to the Park Trails, about five minutes away. She was a dream hiking and riding. Magog is an incredibly affectionate cat who took to us right away. He slept with us, cuddling right up against one of us and even under our chins. Daytime snuggles happened as well. Otherwise, he comes and goes as he pleases 24/7. There were no worries with either Ruby or Magog. The house is very clean and comfortable and I love Deeβs design choices. She and Scott made us feel very welcome in their home. The acreage is well off the road with a few gardens We both wish this had been a much longer sit as we loved everything about it.
This was my first longer duration housesit consisting of a total stay of 19 days over 1 long and 1 short sit and it couldn't have gone better. Hilary's home is beautiful and clean with all the amenities you would need for a fantastic sit and located in a very nice neighborhood within 10 minutes walk from anything you will need. Public transport is practically on the doorstep and will bring you into Dublin City Centre within 10-15 minutes. There are a lot of great food options be it restaurants, takeaways, large supermarkets and local cafes and shops all in close proximity. The local park where I walked their puppy Chewie everyday is close by and the other dog owners that I met were all lovely with very sociable playful pets themselves. They made me feel very welcome in their circles making it a very social experience for me and gave great advice and recommendations on things to do in the local area. Hilary was very prompt and concise with answering any and all questions i had. Chewie was an absolute star β, I wish I could take her home with me and I will miss her something awful π. She took a day or two too warm up to me but after that we were best buddies. She loves too play play and play. Chewie is a very well trained pup and incredibly well behaved with the sweetest personality. You can't help but absolutely love her. I could talk all day about her and still wouldn't do her the justice she deserves. I made a great friend with Chewie and if I ever get a dog myself I wish it could be a perfect clone of her. π This housesit was a fantastic experience for me and I would jump at the chance to sit for Hilary again. π€
Jackie was wonderful. All the information was laid out well and her house was so cozy and cute. Knowing I can reach out and get an answer quickly was a real comfort. Misterfoos and meera are a bit independent but I loved when they sought attention. Getting to go on walking trails and dog friendly restaurants was so much fun. Miss the fur babies already!
What a lovely friendly family of humans and animals. We arrived the night before the sit started to meet everyone, thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the company. All the instructions were written down so it was easy to keep the pets in their routine. There were walks to chose from very nearby so the dogs got lots of daily exercise. The cats were shy at first but did eventually come round to tell us stories. The newly laid eggs were delicious. One word of warning, a watchful eye has to be kept on whoβs eating what at feeding times.
Lexi and Bugs were so welcoming and fun loving, we would love to sit for them again in the future. Their home is so comfortable and in such a peaceful setting. We especially loved caring for Skeeter who is super affectionate, giant kitty that kept us entertained and loved. We were also provided the offer of support, if needed, from the next door neighbor, and became fast friends. We highly recommend this sit.
