How have I not left a review yet?! I’ve used Melinda since moving here in 2017. She has been fantastic! 100% reliable, waters my plants, makes sure the trash is out on pick up day, rotates lights, and takes excellent care of my grumpy older cat Pickles. I trust Melinda implicitly and she’s always respectful and dependable. I love the app she uses so I can see pictures of Pickles every day and a daily report. She’s a wonderful sitter! Can’t recommend enough.

I am very pleased with the experience we had with Melinda and Kyle. While I was out of town for two weeks, they visited my cats daily and ensured they received the care and affection they needed. It was such a peace of mind to receive updates and pictures of the cats, so I was able to relax on my time away knowing they were in good hands. Melinda was very responsive to my requests and made everything as convenient to arrange as possible. She and Kyle left my home respected and my cats happy. With such reasonable rates they were an excellent choice for a pet sitting service. I would recommend them to anyone looking for pet care in the area.

Melinda is the most loving, caring & accommodating pet sitter I’ve ever encountered. She takes such great care of my older dog and has helped raise my puppy since almost the day we got him, taking him to the dog park regularly throughout the week. She offers many wonderful services which makes it easy to find one that can fit your needs. We consider her part of our family and are so grateful for her flexibility and knowledge.

Melinda and Kyle are awesome! Hands down, 100% worthy of being entrusted with your dog's care in your home, I couldn't have felt more comfortable leaving our dogs in their care. Great rates and sooooooo much easier than dealing with kennels and all the hassle of taking them there, picking them up, showing them tons of records, etc. I will *never* hesitate to call them up again when we need dog care, or recommend them to a friend, relative, or co-worker!

Melinda is a very capable pet sitter! She has veterinary experience dealing with Feline & Canines. She has an amazing amount of love for the pets of her clients. My Rottie wiggles from head to toe when he sees her!

My wife and I were feeling hopeless when it came to boarding our mini Goldendoodle. It was difficult to find a good location, fair pricing and someone trustworthy to take care of our pup when we were out of town. Finally we came across Holly’s website and were immediately intrigued. We reached out and Holly was so responsive and caring. We got a meet and greet scheduled right away and it went amazing. Holly and her family are so welcoming and easy to communicate with. It has been such a relief to have found Holly and now we always know we have a reliable plan for where our dog will stay when we need help with her. Our favorite part is the daily photo updates we get from Holly when she is watching our dog ♥️ thank you, Holly!

We are so thrilled we found Holly Hearts Animals for our dogs first boarding experience. Holly took amazing care of her needs, gave her daily outings, and spoiled her as if she was her own. My husband and I really appreciated the daily updates & photos of her time in Holly’s care!

This review is long over-due. Holly has been caring for our 4 animals (2 cats and 2 dogs) for quite a while now, and she has been absolutely stellar! She is very communicative and very compassionate in the care of our animals. Pricing is fair. Two of our animals have medical issues and one of our dogs in particular has some mobility issues. Holly is always attentive and ensures our pup gets to play without pushing herself too far (she would play fetch all day if she could). When Holly cares for your animals, you can tell she really treats them like family. I would recommend her 100%. Thank you Holly for all you do for our family! PS: She takes some pretty great photos!

We always feel comfortable having Holly watch our two cats while we're away! Holly is responsive, lets us know if there are any issues, and sends the cutest daily photo updates. She goes above and beyond to make sure they feel loved (and we're updated) while we are away!

We left our pet rabbit with Holly for a week. I knew right away that she was in good hands. Holly carefully went over all the instructions with us before we said good bye and made sure our little bunny had a comfortable set up. Then, amazingly, we got wonderful photos and updates throughout the week. Everyone was having a good time together. We were so grateful to have found Holly to share their home and attention with our little friend. Holly is really special.

Our dog loved her stay with Holly and family so much and it was such a huge relief for us to know she was being well taken care of while we were gone. Holly sent daily pictures which were much appreciated. Highly recommend!

Holly provided care for our two cats for a week. I could tell by the cute pictures she sent each day that the cats were very comfortable with her. She even took care of an ant evasion we had, putting out ant traps we had to keep the pests away from the cat food! She always replied promptly to texts we sent while away. I will definitely use her services again.

Holly has taken care of my kitty a couple times now and has done such a good job. She checks on my girl reliably and sends me photo updates everyday so I feel reassured that everything is ok back home. Vacations are so much more relaxing when I know my fur baby is being looked after. I highly recommend Holly!

Holly has been incredible with our 1+ yo dog, Maggie. Maggie is full of energy and love and needs a lot of attention and play. Holly expertly guides Maggie through her days and always sends us lots of great photos to put our minds at ease. She has been very flexible to meet Maggie’s needs and our busy schedule. Her toddler is great around dogs, just like her mom!

Mary Ellen takes the best care of my dogs, so much that the youngest would happily stay there forever. Great pick up/drop off process. Excellent communication and scheduling is easy, daycare or boarding. So glad to have stumbled across her place years ago!

My husband, myself and our pup just moved to the SE area and we were stressing on finding a doggy daycare. We both work all day and didn’t want our pup to be home alone; he has a lot of anxiety & especially separation anxiety. We found Mary Ellen’s daycare and immediately she sounded like a good fit. We’ve been taking our pup to her for about a month now and it’s been going great! We were really concerned that his anxiety would be an issue and that maybe it’d be a bit much for Mary Ellen, but she quickly dispelled those fears. She’s been working with our pup and helping him adjust to the new routine and has been incredibly kind and patient. We’re so grateful to have found Mary Ellen ☺️☺️☺️

We LOVE Wag Along! Our pup has been going there for a while for daycare and comes home happy and exhausted. We've also boarded her there and had a great experience. Mary Ellen is knowledgeable, flexible and reliable, and it is such a great spot for our pup to spend some time each week! Our girl can be a little nervous to leave us (she grew up during pandemic stay-home orders), but warmed right up to going! I know how much she loves it by her excitement when we pull in for drop off & at the end of the day, she usually doesn't want to leave! We consider Wag Along her second family and highly recommend them for boarding or daycare :)

I feel grateful to have found this day care/boarding location for my pup! I’ve brought my pup there for day care and I’ve boarded her for as long as 5 days. My dog always leaves happy and tired from playing with all the other wonderful dogs. I trust that Mary Ellen keeps a watchful eye over all of the dogs while they are under her care. Mary Ellen is excellent at communicating with me and I feel 100% comfortable leaving my puppy there. I would highly recommend!

Mary Ellen is the best. We always leave our dog with her when we're away and have been doing so since 2016. As soon as we pull up outside her house, she starts whimpering to get out and join her friends. Mary Ellen has two dogs of her own, Margaux and Rou, both wonderful golden retrievers who our dog adores. They're kind of like benevolent older siblings to her. I often think our dog has a better time than we do — home away from home!

I took my anxious 1 year old puppy to Wag Along to try to help with her separation anxiety and socialization. Mary Ellen took extra good care of her and within a few weeks Bootsy was more confident and well behaved and she loves going to see Mary Ellen and to play with the other dogs. I appreciate how very easy drop off and pick up is, and that my pup is still clean at the end of the day. Mary Ellen is kind, responsible and the price is right.

We’ve taken our energetic 1.5 year old heeler Sylvie here since the beginning of the year, been a very positive experience. Space-wise it’s essentially a house & yard, rather than the typical warehouse type areas of other doggy daycares. We appreciate the fact that the owner, Mary Ellen, has been doing this a long time and is very hands-on – it’s good to know our pup’s with someone experienced & who really cares about both the animals & how things are run. She’s flexible and the whole process has been super easy. Price is pretty standard. Our dog is fairly high strung and at first she had a lot of anxiety about being left there. But after a little while she got over it, now it’s fun to watch her excitedly run to Mary Ellen & all her doggy friends in the morning. I think the daycare has actually helped out her maturation process. Mary Ellen sends video clips and/or photos during the day showing them playing & lounging around, which is fun for a doting dog parent like me. The pup comes home happy & tired. We just do part-time right now - to socialize Sylvie & keep her company while the humans work, also to create a familiarity in case we ever have to board her there sometime for travel. Highly recommended.

We love having our Sully with Mary Ellen. We never worry about him when he’s there. We use daycare and board with her when we are out of town. He is always excited to see her and she takes such good care of the pups in her care. Recommend her 110%.

Mary Ellen takes such good care of my baby, I never worry at all when she’s there. My dog was super timid before she started going about a year ago and now she’s so happy to go see her friends each time. Mary Ellen watches a nice variety of sizes and breeds, so she’s exposed to all kinds of dogs, which is helpful for the real world. I literally don’t know what I would do without her. We love Wag Along!

Mary Ellen is amazing, I’ve been trusting her with my dog for a while now. I recently used her for boarding, and she went above and beyond when taking care of my dog. I had to drop off my dog right after being injured and Marry Ellen took her with out hesitating. She gave her her meds and cared for her like I would have. She even sent me frequent updates and pictures to help ease my anxiety. I truly don’t think you will find a more caring pet sitter in the Portland area!

Wendy saved us during our vacation to visit our kids. We brought our dog, but he and our son's dog didn't hit it off. She was able to take our dog in on very short notice, and he had a blast. She is so kind, helpful. She helped save our trip. Kristi McDonald

I can’t say enough good things about Petlandia!! Wendy and Nate are so patient with my nervous pup, Roo. They are amazing about checking in; both throughout the day while he’s at daycare and weekly just to bring up occasional behavioral/health concerns. They both obviously care so much about each individual pup, and tailor their care for each dog’s needs! The Petlandia set up is so fun, and highly enriching for an adventurous pup. We only use their daycare services, but they also offer boarding/daily walks which I’m sure we will look into for future needs too! Grace and Roo 🩵 Petlandia!

We were so nervous about leaving our puppy, other dog, and two bunnies for a week over the thanksgiving holiday. We had Bailey come house/pet sit for us, and could not have been happier! Not once did we feel uneasy about our babies being well taken care of. Bailey was extremely communicative, sent us updates and pics daily, and made us feel completely at ease about not being there. I have used Wendy’s services for both daycare and overnight care and I cannot say enough great things about her! I have a bit of an anxious pup who doesn’t really like playing with other dogs and has separation anxiety. Wendy has done so much to go out of her way to make my dog feel comfortable and cared for. It's not easy to leave your dog when you know she is anxious but Wendy makes it so much easier with frequent texts and photos and by being so gentle and accommodating!

"Wendy and her team took such great care of our pup, both for walks and for boarding. He was an older gentleman who didn't always want to get going, and Wendy and her team let him set the pace. I highly recommend without any hesitation." That was my review from over a year ago, one dog ago. Now we have Oakley, a much younger and more energetic head strong girl who is so very well cared for by Wendy and Bailey. They have so much patience and insight into dog behavior. They use positive skills to coach our little one even when she doesn't want to be coached. Consummate professionals, they leave the dog and home in excellent condition with clear communication and frequent photos to let us know how our sweet one is doing when we can't be home with her.

Petlandia Pet Care is legit just the best. I’ve been working with them for 8-ish years and they’ve consistently been professional, communicative, and helpful. Additionally, words truly limit me in expressing my appreciation for their flexibility now, and especially during the pandemic, as my work schedule was unpredictable and changed constantly. When I adopted my Abbey girl, she was super beat up and had clearly experienced some trauma. Now my sweet girl is an arthritic senior pup, who continues to enjoy her unconditional love and pets and walks and treats with the folks from Petlandia. Thank you for all that you’ve done and continue to do for our pibbs!

Petlandia is wonderful! I have a pit bull/ heeler mix who often has issues with new people. Wendy took the time to get to know her and she is now officially on my dog's best friend list. I feel so much better leaving for work each day knowing that Wendy will be there to work with my dog. She is professional and a true animal lover. I highly recommend her and Petlandia. We love Wendy and Petlandia Pet Care! I am so happy we found Wendy to take care of our pups when we are out of town. Wendy clearly loves dogs and she always takes such good care of our two pups. She is very responsive to messages and is flexible with scheduling. She sends us pictures and keeps us updated on how our pups are doing when they stay with her. Petlandia is awesome! Wendy is awesome! I did daycare at Petlandia with 2 Shetland Sheepdogs and a Shih tzu. One of my shelties was very shy and scared of new things and people. Wendy worked with Tori and formed a bond with her very quickly. My Shih tzu loved the whole area to explore and play with other pups! She always had the best time. Hunter my older sheltie found his comfy spot and napped. My pups had a week stay with Wendy at Petlandia. I trust and love Wendy like no other dog care person!

I have been a client of Petlandia Pet Care for many years and can’t say enough good things about their dog-walking service. They are reliable, and respectful. The communication is excellent and most importantly, my dogs love them and go bananas when they come over. I feel absolutely safe having them come into my home when I am not there and I rely on them to take good care of my dogs. Highly recommended.

The team at Safe and Hound are absolutely amazing! They took the greatest care and shared so much love with our pup while we were here for a medical procedure. They sent me updates and pics every day and made our Cooper feel safe and loved! My boy LOVES Safe & Hound. And they love him in return. Some days he whines when he must come home as he would rather stay and play with his friends. They are so very caring, communicative, and honest. Any one of the caregivers I will give an A+++ to. I use S&H for overnight boarding occasionally. I usually get a photo or two and an update on how it's going. They are like family. My highest rating for Safe & Hound.

Harper and Hank have been going to Safe and Hound since they were babies. They go three days a week and also do overnight boarding with the Hound. Not only do they LOVE going to “school” each day... they learn while they are there and come home exhausted and ready to relax. Vizsla’s have so much energy and our dogs really thrive with their friends everyday at daycare. The facilities are clean and safe, everyone on staff is friendly and wonderful and you can tell how much everyone loves our dogs! They give baths, trim nails and play with our puppies daily. It really is a special place and I’m so grateful for the whole team at Safe and Hound! Thank you guys for being the very best...highly recommend!! 💜

We love Safe and hound. The staff know and love on or pup Stormy like their own. They make sure that dogs are healthy and interacting appropriately with one another. Our dog is always excited to get there in the morning and wears herself out playing with other pups. The online reservation system is easy to use and helps to coordinate dates you need care. We have boarded our dog with them as well on trips and she came home healthy and happy. I can’t recommend them highly enough!!

My sweet baby loves going to daycare here. He is practically jumping out the window when I pull in to the parking lot. The team that works there loves dogs and it shows. Stewie will be a lifer there.

I cannot stress enough how wonderful this place is! The girls who work here are so sweet. Spinelli always gets so excited when she figures out she's going to daycare, and when we arrive I am instantly chopped liver as she is so happy to see her human and doggy friends. She comes home tired and happy every time. When we board her, the girls even send us photos and little update messages on Spinelli while we are away (my faves included below). We are so thankful we live so close to a great daycare and boarding place!

I could not be happier with Safe And Hound . Not only are the staff attentive and kind but they absolutely love my little girl and she loves going to school. If you are looking for a great doggy daycare, this is the spot!!! The excitement she gets when we turn, the corner, tells me everything I need to know.

My dog, Zarafina, has been attending Safe & Hound for 15 months. She loves it there and is always super tired when she comes home. That tells me she plays hard! And since she is a husky, that is the most important component. After all, a tired husky is a good husky! The staff is phenomenal, the hours are good, the space is clean, and I have never had any issue here. I cannot say the same for 3 other local doggy daycare facilities I have tried. So to me, this place is the best you will find anywhere in the Portland area. The price is a little high, but within industry standard. I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" and I will gladly pay the price to keep my girl safe and happy.

Love this place! Shilo goes to her "doggy daycare" 2 x week. She gets excited when we tell her where she is going and she is exhausted when we pick her up! She is a Pomsky with a lot of Husky traits in her so she needs the exercise. Safe and Hound literally saved us when she was pup...didn't know what to do with her and her craziness. Everyone who works here is amazing and you can tell that they really love all of the dogs! Highly recommend.

Safe & Hound Doggy Daycare is a great place. I really like their set up. “So does my dog :-)”. The staff here is very personable and friendly. Crystal, the owner did a great with this place. It’s a newer location and it couldn’t have come at a better time. I know my dog is in excellent hands while I am gone at work. My sweet girl Jett loves going to Critter Nanny. I take her 5 days a week while I am at work. She is loved and gets good play time with other dogs.

If we mention the name of one of our puppy's friends at Critter Nanny, Jazzy will run to the door and want to go. She loves the place! It has been an awesome place for her to learn socialization skills. We call it puppy Disneyland. Nancy and Jim have a wealth of information when it comes to dogs. We trust them with our puppy and the choices they make regarding Jazz, like how they choose to mix our pup with other puppies/dogs. We highly recommend Critter Nanny for daycare or boarding!

Very thorough intake process that made me feel that I was leaving my dogs in the best care. Very reasonably priced compared to in-home care, and my dogs came home happy! Will be using their services again on my next vacation.

Jim and Nancy have been a life savor for taking care of our doodle! She wags with happiness as soon as we turn down their drive way and every time she sees Jim its like the first time- she never wants to come home. I love that I know she is in good hands while I'm at work and she always comes home tired, thirsty, and happy! So happy to of found someone local who I can trust with my girl. For many years, our dogs have stayed with Critter Nanny while we are out of town. Jim and Nancy do a great job and are very conscientious about all the details. Our pets are always well cared for and have a chance to play with compatible dogs, so it is fun for them. Our boxer, who has passed away, used to get excited when the suitcases came out because she knew she was going Critter Nanny and would get to play with new dogs.

Our family has called on Jim & Nancy many times a year for six years for care of two dogs and one kitty. Each detail from drop-off to pick-up has been carefully thought out to make the experience enjoyable and low-stress. I know I can count on them to pay attention to details, handle surprises, and report back how well my pet adjusted. I recommend Critter Nanny to anyone!

We used Critter Nanny for many years and found them outstanding in every way. Our little dog, Daisy, spent many vacations there. As soon as we started up the driveway, Daisy would go 'nuts' wagging her tail and making a fool of herself. I have recently recommended a friend without any reservations of trusting Jim and Nancy. I wish some of the hotels we stay at were as nice as this facility! A real Bed and Breafast for your pet. ,

We ❤️ Critter Nanny! We ran into a situation where we couldn’t take our pups with us on vacation and forced with the decision to board them. From Facebook reviews, we decided to give Critter Nanny a chance and are extremely happy with our decision. I had this anxious feeling during our entire stay, never had boarded our dogs before and was SO excited to pick them up and expected them to share in this excitement, apparently I was the only one because they loved their stay SO much they didn’t want to come back to boring old home. They are currently passed out, so exhausted from their week of fun that they could care less that they are back with their actual family, probably dreaming of all the play they had, wishing they were back at Critter Nanny’s! This family owned business has my support, if ever we are in need again... We may just find that the next time we need a vacation we will be thinking of our next no doggies allowed destination just so they can their vacation too!

Jim and Nancy are the most compassionate, empathetic people I have ever met. Trusting them with our beloved pets is a no brainer! When we have to leave them we are confident they are happy and well cared for. We appreciate knowing that they are available when we need a safe, loving, healthy pet lodge when we travel.

I've known the owners for a long time now and I can honestly say that this is the most affordable in the Portland metro area. I've checked a dozen places and this is it! The dogs are very comfortable and will always have a buddy to visit with next to them. The drive is also part of the experience for sure, it's beautiful! I highly recommend this place!

Before we brought our German Shepherd Nellie to Joann for training we considered rehoming her. We loved her but she was out of control and too much for us older folks to handle. But we decided to give training a try first. Joann was amazing, training both Nellie and me. Now Nellie is a joy to have around. She is so well behaved even our vet complimented her obedience. I can’t say enough great things about the training we received. Joann saved our Nellie for us.

Love this place. Reasonably priced but more importantly they've always taken good care of our dogs. Been using them for years.

We went through a training course for our Cane Corso and its great for basic training and socializing your dog. I will definitely be back.

JoAnne and Michelle are very nice people and always took great care of our dogs. If there were any issues or questions they always gave us a call and kept us updated. They even called to check up on our pup when they heard he got sick. They are very reasonably priced and personally owned and operated. We also liked the length of the runs.

Private puppy training with my 6 month old German Shepherd. A great learning and bonding experience for us with Joanne. Highly recommend.

I've known these people for a decade....as a professional owner breeder handler and trainer I tolerate very few training classes. But this dog training class is fast paced and expert. I can walk in with an obedience dog for a work out or start young dog to work around other dogs. I even trained with my Champion show dog with him show stacking while others sat. He entered the ring well ready for show... Joanne has trained German Shepherd Dogs years ago and keeps a good kennel for boarding as well. She knows how to get the most out of you and your dog. Problem dogs welcome.

Very well maintained, Michelle is very nice and goes over everything with you. As a first time boarder at her facility, she even let me peek at my two dogs before I left. Boarding prices very reasonable.

My fur child is so incredibly happy the second we pull into the parking lot!!! The staff are welcoming, warm and engaging. I was just using this service as a fill in activity for travel but my little buddy can not live without the Scooby crew on a regular schedule. Can not say enough about how fabulous this has been! Great pricing and the A’ la cart services are awsome too!

Scooby shack continues to amaze me with their customer service, compassion, and hard work ethic! Nyxie loves her plays and stays at Scooby Shack. She's made some good buddies (dogs and humans!), and she "sings" all the way to the Scooby Shack once she knows we're headed that way. The staff takes such good care of our girl. When she stays there, the staff is happy to give updates and pictures. (We know Nyxie is having a ball so this is really to make her parents feel better.) Thank you Scooby Shack for taking such great care of our girl!

Extremely disappointed with this place. We used to bring our dog here exclusively for grooming and daycare but never again. We brought our dog in to get groomed after several years of grooming here and only when I went to pay was I told that the prices increased, over $100 MORE! We'd always brought our dog in the morning to play with the other dogs and then his grooming appointment would be in the afternoon. We've done this for years and not once have they charged us for day care when bringing him in the morning If we also got him groomed. It was only when I came to pick him up that they told me they increased their prices for grooming and charged me for the morning. I understand raising prices as needed but this was a very dishonest way to go about that. They should have let their customers know before they leave their dogs there that they increased their prices by so much instead of waiting until after the service is over. Not to mention the groomer did not even trim some areas we'd requested like around his booty so now I have to do it myself. We will never be coming back and will be telling our friends and family who also go there about this experience.

I'm so excited, Scooby Shack has a new groomer (Hannah), and she is fantastic. I have a Yorkshire Terrier and a Bernese Mountain Dog and I've been through more than my fair share of not so good grooming experiences. Leah really listened to me and did exactly what I asked her to. My dogs look great, and you can tell she really enjoys grooming dogs. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her!

I’ve posted before and after pictures of our mini Aussiepoo. As you can see, he had a full head of cute, curly hair that the groomer at Scooby Shack has managed to shave off haphazardly twice. When we picked him up this time, we were in tears; she’d cut his whiskers off, shaved his entire body and only left his ears and tail alone. She said it was because we didn’t brush him enough, but we brushed him every day. I am so disappointed and upset by this groomer. How can you work with animals and do this to them? Do not take your dog to this woman, she clearly doesn’t care about the work she is doing or how her customers feel.

I have taken my dogs to Scooby Shack since 2011. Trulli loves going to Scooby Shack so she can play with her doggie friends and with Todd. I am very happy with the care Trulli receives and have no reservations taking her for daycare and boarding Trulli at Scooby Shack.

Very impressed with this daycare and boarding facility . Very clean and communication is topnotch. They Have staff with the pups at all times -24 hrs. Experienced staff watching and they understand animal behavior. As I’m Watching pups come and go-The pups are so happy waggin their tails , hopping on their feet -such a sight to see. That tells me they had a good time. What great way to socialize a pup in a pack environment. 🤩 They even have a cat condo. Super Clean and have wall climbing area for them. I got to see a cat scratching on a post didn’t even seem scared. Relaxed and strutting his stuff across the room. 🤩

Our dog loves Scooby Shack. He is excited when we take him here, and when he comes home, it is obvious he has played all day long and enjoyed his day. Staff are super friendly and nice.

Everyone has a great attitude and welcoming smile. I totally trust them to provide a safe and secure place where my dog can run around with his pals. I never have to worry when he is there. I've been using Tails and Trails for dog walking and overnight services since late 2019. I've loved their service and professionalism they have provided to me and my pet. Over the past year, I have noticed that it has been challenging to schedule overnight services. They've experienced a shortage of dog handlers which has limited their scheduling availability. I understand the challenges as my dog requires a more experienced dog handler as he's had behavioral issues with other handlers in the past. I am aware of the challenges of scheduling services during the holidays, but my recent issues do not relate to it. My biggest complaint has been the lack of communication and transparency for scheduling. The past few times I've scheduled an overnight sitter, I've had zero communication leading up to the scheduled date if my overnight service appointment has been accepted. When reaching out to Tail and Trails to coordinate, I'm informed there is no one available causing me to have to find an emergency replacement in less than 24 hours. I understand if they cannot accommodate my request, but not notifying me with less than 24 hours of my upcoming trip is unacceptable and unprofessional. After over 4 years of using Tails and Trails, it is difficult for me to continue to use their service if this is the standard moving forward. I've had great experiences with them in the past and do not want to overlook the help and care they have provided. Better communication and transparency must be addressed.

We scheduled for 4 cat visits in the evenings while we went on a cruise while having a family member coming in the mornings. We had no cell phone service only wifi and email communication while on the ship. The first evening I emailed them when they were at 2 hours late asking to contact me asap. The manager Chloe responded apologizing that the order was entered wrong for that day and she was sending Andy over. He arrived at 8pm. This tells me that had I not contacted them, they wouldn't have come that day. She said they would credit me for that visit. I emailed back and asked her to please confirm the 3 following days and I got no response. The next morning I emailed her again to get clarification and explained that we were on the ocean and that it was very important to hear back from her. And still, no response. Not until Andy came that evening 2 hours late, again. I spent the entire day stressed out. However, I felt that if I were to complain that they might just cancel the rest of the visits. That was a terrible feeling. The other 2 days Andy was on time. And while there he did perform the basic tasks. But didn't show any genuine affection to our cat. Thank goodness our ring camera was working. It was the only way we knew what was happening at all. Since returning home I have spoken with Jeff, the owner and he has assured me that he will prevent this from happening again and I sure hope so.

Love this service so much!!! This is the second time i’ve used this service and they are so organized, caring and communicative. The owner Stacy is very knowledgeable and her staff is awesome. Melody Knox went above and beyond taking care of my anxious dog and sent us so many reassuring updates and photos. I highly recommend anyone use this service.

I never leave reviews, but I am so disappointed and feel obligated to warn others. I scheduled and confirmed cat visits for a few days while out of town with my family. The first two days went well, but yesterday I did not receive a notification that the visit had been completed. While I understand sometimes emergencies happen, I have emailed twice today, left a voicemail, and left an Instagram message and have still heard nothing back. I am still out of town and have no way of knowing whether my cat will go another day without being cared for. If you are looking for reliable service/communication, I would look elsewhere.

I rarely leave negative reviews but would avoid using this service at all costs. We had a dog walk scheduled for our two dogs in a 12-1pm window. They use a system where the dog walker scans a QR code on your fridge magnet when the dog walk starts and ends. After checking the portal, we saw that the dog walk had not started over an hour after the service was scheduled to start, so contacted T&T and were assured that the walker was running behind because she had been scheduled for 3 dog walks in the same one hour window (??). An hour later, the walk still had not started. At 4pm, I received a call from Ruth (the walker) that she had just arrived and walked the dogs. This is 4 hours late with zero communication. Additionally, the QR code was never scanned which leaves me to assume that the walk never happened. Our poor dogs were left alone for 9+ hours with no communication from T&T. Do not recommend.

This was our first time using a pet sitting service and we were very impressed by the level of care and attention our pups received. Jeff put us at ease when conducting our initial visit and Jonathan was very communicative while we were on our trip. We know our girls can be a handful at times and cannot express enough how appreciative we are for the peace of mind it gave us working with this awesome company. Thank you!

Tails and Trails team members have been walking our labradoodle puppy for about seven months, and they are fantastic. Lilly paces around the kitchen every morning, eager for her walking human to arrive, and she’s excited beyond description when they get here. There are three T&T walkers who share Lilly, and they’re all totally reliable and friendly. They’ve trained her in “heel” and other walking behaviors. It’s clear these are not people just working for the money; they totally care about dogs. We’re delighted with them and their care for our puppy.

The initiation process started off well with responsiveness, consultation setup. The technology they use seems neat. I contacted them for a dog sitting request and I have expressed the importance of meet and greets needed for my dog to ensure it's a good fit, which I was advised that it is no problem. 6 days later I haven't been contacted to setup these meetings. I called 2 days ago to checkin on scheduling these meetings and was advised I would be contacted by a sitter and I haven't been. The window gets shorter everyday to get these meetings done and now we are at less than a week away from the requested sit date. I wish Tails and Trails would have been transparent about what they could accommodate and called me back to let me know the status along the way, and if a sitter could not do it. I am feeling more stress now from when I first contacted them since this feels they are leaving our pups without care that we were assured of.

I cannot say enough great things about Tails & Trails. From the first meet and greet meeting with Lexi, I felt completely comfortable and was really impressed with how professional the service is. Lexi took detailed notes, answered all of my questions, and really took the time to make sure we addressed all of our pup's needs. We have used Tails & Trails for daily walks and dog sitting while we were out of town. I love reading the updates and seeing the pictures we get sent after each walk, it is the highlight of my work day. I truly can't imagine what we would do without Tails & Trails.

So reliable and professional. Hassle free in & out process. Jeff, the owner is so prompt with his responses. Special shoutout to Stacy & Jeff. Rocky really loved his walks with especially you guys. You two gave him a great workout. The only problem I faced was with the time slots you guys give. But it was workable & hassle free so I was good. Thank you so much!

Betsy and Amelia with Bowser’s Best Buddy are a cut above the rest. I see how much genuine love and care they show my pup, while offering positive and consistent training. My dog Otis attends their day program and has truly blossomed, from an excitable 1 year old adolescent to a well rounded, friendly, obedient member of their pack. Betsy has offered such valuable recommendations on how I could continue the training approach at home to keep advancing his knowledge. I found Betsy as I looked for a day program that wasn’t a larger scale “daycare” space. Betsy did a careful screening to make sure Otis would fit well with the other dogs and slowly folded Otis into the mix. Now that Otis is a “regular,” it gives me peace of mind that any newcomers to the program will be similarly vetted and introduced. A year into attending the day program, Otis is thriving and I am so grateful for the Bowser’s team (Finn, the elder pup, included!)

My two pups absolutely adore Betsy!!!! She takes them for walks, comes by and feeds them when I’m delayed, and have stayed with her and loved their time there. She is always there to help her clients in a pinch. Such a caring woman💕 We are very happy to have “found” such special care. …

Betsy is reliable, communicative, and knowledgeable. From photo and video updates, to leash and manners training, and extra cuddle time, she is more than just a dog walker. I’m so grateful for Betsy and all of her work with Phoebe!

We have been taking our girl to Bowser’s since she was a puppy. Tuesday’s are her favorite day of the week. Betsy treats Pimm like her own and it’s such a relief to not have to worry about her while I’m working. I get pic and video updates during the day, like this gem. We love working with Betsy. She’s professional, a great communicator, and so welcoming to Pimm. If your pup can get a spot, their lucky!

Betsy is a gem! We have two cats, and when we leave to go out of town, we go in peace, because we know they are always so well cared for and loved by Betsy. We feel so fortunate to have found her. Her daily updates, photos, and videos are wonderful to receive and make us feel so close to our kitties, even when we are far away. I can’t imagine finding a more professional, thoughtful, and thorough pet caregiver. 5 stars all around!

Upon arriving back in Portland, I needed a dog walker as my remote job gave way to an on-site job. After being ignored by a couple of different providers, Betsy responded promptly, set up a meeting and now my guy, Gary, is the happiest pup on the block. She's priced fairly, provides excellent service (pictures of every walk and attention to Gary's well being), is an A+ communicator and just a generally great care-taker. I couldn't be any happier with Bowser's and Betsy and, as a fanatical fan of my dog, recommend her without hesitation.

An incredible place for my goldendoodle! She has an amazing time with the other dogs, is incredibly well looked after. I would trust Bowser’s Best Buddies with one of the most important things in my life any day!

You will never find anyone better. The improvement into dogs’ lives when Betsy started walking them was immeasurable. I think they love her more than they love me. Maybe I love her more than I love me! If you call anyone else you’re just making a mistake.

Whenever I’m leaving town, I rely on Betsy to take great care of my furbaby. I feel like she treats my dog as her own and that gives me piece of mind. My wife and I LOVE taking our dog to RDR West Linn. They do such a good job of taking care of Daisy, and offer wonderful perks and activities each month (we especially love the photo shoots) that make it so special to come here. The staff is always friendly and professional and maintain excellent communication if any questions or concerns come up on our part.

Reynolds takes very good care of my dog who has special needs sometimes. They seem like they truly care and listen to my directions for her carefully highly recommend them. This is the Reynolds in West Linn.

Someone recently recommended this location, specifically, for doggy day care & boarding - this location & the Tualatin location are really close to each other, but the West Linn location has an outdoor play area with artificial turf (no/less dirt/mudd/mess when the rains hit). My 1 1/2 year old pup has gone 3 times for daycare, loves it, staff is GREAT, & pup sleeps SO GOOD nights after going! Definitely recommend!

Kodiak has been going to Reynolds since she was 4 months old! She loves it and they love her, it’s been a match made in heaven for the past year and a half and we’ll continue to go here in the future! They even take cute pictures on holidays with the pups :)

Yesterday was Phoebe and Gus Gus first daycare visit. The staff was friendly and professional. All though phoebe didn’t acknowledge me the whole way back home I know she will adjust. Clearly she’s use to being with mom all day. Thanks covid. I can’t wait for our second visit next week. I know the dogs will love daycare once they get in the routine.

The employees care deeply about my dogs. They were quick and efficient even during a rush when I came to pick up my dogs. I appreciate them managing my dogs and will definitely be bringing them again.

What happened?!?! Service is WAY down in this location. it's a 15-20 min wait to drop off and pick up my dog now, when before it was in and out in 2 mins. Familiar faces are gone, there are far fewer people out front and they always look stressed and overworked. I suspect new management and cost cutting which is terrible for customers.

First time we use pet boarding in the US as we just could not be happier, great place to bring your dog, we even got an update with picture. Gijs had a great time will definitely bring him more often

Trustworthy boarding and daycare facility. The girls are always so sweet and you can tell they care about all of the dogs that come through. My german shepherd was always anxious while boarding until I found Reynolds Dog Resort. He now comes home happy and tired and has a blast playing with the dogs and in the water there. Highly recommend.
