Annabel's house and property are a true gem. Everything in the house was neat and tidy and the gardens very thought out and lovely. Annabel has very detailed instructions for the house and dogs which was helpful and informative. The little dog, Dash, is older and mellow and sweet and mostly liked just laying in his outside kennel. He definitely takes some persuading to do any kind of walk! Juno, on the other hand, was a bundle of energy and keen to do the 4 walks needed each day. The location while definitely out in the wilds down lots of small country lanes was also very welcome in it's peace and privacy and within a 15 minute walk to Dartmoor which is the reason my friend and I were interested in doing this particular house sit. To have the benefit of some dog companions was a joyful addition to our stay in Devon.
Oliver and I loved housesitting for Donna. She had such a beautiful and clean house and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Her information and communication made looking after Murphy and Ringo really easy. Murphy and Ringo were so wonderful and such cuddly dogs. They loved going out for a walk and going to the awesome dog park close by. Lots of shops and everything we needed were close by. We would definitely love to housesit for Donna again in the future.
Raddy and Twiglet and the chickens were a delight to look after for Olivia and Michael. Although they are very different characters, the two dogs bond together to make a sweet partnership. We enjoyed walking with them around the property and took them to a favourite dog-walking spot where they were very well behaved. The hens were always friendly, it's funny when they come clucking at the back door for food scraps! Olivia showed us everything we needed to know upon arrival and communicated well with us before and during the stay. It is a charming and characterful home in picturesque Somerset, quite a hidden gem. We highly recommend this house and pet sit and look forward to coming back ourselves next week for another sit.
We have just returned from a wonderful week looking after Fleur, the most adorable, cuddly and affectionate cockapoo one could wish for. She immediately took to us on our arrival and we were warmly welcomed by Sarah & Francis as we entered their lovely home. They took us for a beautiful walk, directly from their front door onto fields, to get to know the local area. That evening, we were treated to a delicious meal at their home and Sarah & Francis imparted lots of very useful information regarding care of Fleur, the house and places to visit in the local vicinity. Francis also keeps bees at the far end of the garden and Simon offered to help feed them during our stay (he didn’t have to but was keen to learn about them!) Hitcham is in a fabulous location, with many pretty surrounding villages (such as Lavenham, Hadleigh, Clare, Kersey) although one needs a car to explore the area. There are plenty of walks directly from the doorstep around Hitcham, but we also drove with Fleur to explore other walks, to make the most of our stay in this stunning Suffolk location. I strongly recommend this house sit, in a very rural, peaceful setting, with the most gorgeous, adorable companion….. we are missing Fleur already!
Alice is a very warm, welcoming and responsive host! She answered all my questions right a way. Alice's condo is beautiful and I felt right at home!🙂 Alice's condo is in a perfect location for anyone looking to visit or have a DC staycation. Located in Logan Circle, blocks from 14th St NW with all its restaurants and shops. Blocks away from Shaw and the Metro. Easy walking distance to Dupont Circle or Chinatown. Charlie and Poppy are warm friendly cats. Charlie is outgoing and likes to be pet a few times and can be independent. Poppy starts out shy, but play with her rope toy and she warms right up to you. She was always close by and loved to be petted and play with her rope toy. In short, this is a great house sit with great pets. I'd definitely recommend this sit! Thank you Alice, Charlie and Poppy!
I really enjoyed my stay in San Diego with Wally and Nipsey! Brian, Rafunzel, and Scarlett were warm and welcoming hosts who were easygoing and proactive in communicating with me! Nipsey is a delightful playmate who enjoys hanging on her Catio and outdoor adeventures on leash or in her special backpack! Wally and I walked all over the neighborhood and to nearby Ocean Beach in the late mornings before heading back to the apartment for lazy afternoons! I highly recommend this sit!
