A fabulous way to see Monterey! Kimm and Larry were amazing hosts who gave us many recommendations and took us for a drive to see the magical Bay. Their home is welcoming and beautiful, with a well-appointed kitchen (and a cabinet full of tea adventures!) a charming garden and comfortable living spaces. Located within an easy walk of a foodie's delight grocery, Whole Foods and the farmer's market, and only 2 miles from the Bay, wharf and downtown, it worked well for us without a car. Now, for the animal fam...you'll absolutely fall in love with this pack. We spent many satisfying hours in the living room, surrounded by all four dogs, in front of the warm fireplace. Cosmos stole the show much of the time with his exuberant puppy energy, Tu gazed adoringly and bumped hands for more pets, Jazzy took more space but still charmed us. Ralphie took a few days to warm up, and then made sure everyone and everything ran according to plan. They were absolutely no trouble and full of love. Queen Rhoadie graced us with her presence in a lap each night after the dogs went to sleep. This is an A+ sit with amazing hosts. You'll love it!
I really enjoyed caring for Phoebe and Mango. Each of them had unique and endearing personalities, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Ed and Sylvia are very flexible and welcoming. Their row house, which is very comfortable and nicely renovated, is in a hip and interesting neighborhood, complete with friendly, helpful neighbors. I highly recommend this sit and would gladly return.
We had such a lovely time looking after Ruby & Mabel. They are such sweet dogs and very well behaved. We loved hanging out with them and were so sad to say goodbye at the end of our stay! There are lots of beautiful walks in the area and we had a fab time taking the dogs out for a couple hours each day. Both of the cats are lovely too, Millie was super cuddly and even Monty who was a bit shyer came in for a cuddle on our last day. Amanda & Ian made us feel so welcome and overall we just had a lovely weekend enjoying the countryside.
CJ and Ben’s place was such a joy! The location is amazing and their apartment is incredibly decorated. We had a blast taking a look through their book selection. Champagne and LaFawnDuh were the sweetest. LaFawnDuh was a big cuddle bug and asked for her pets frequently and so politely. Champagne was very independent but he was a big snuggle bug as well once he had his fill of his dukedom outside. The kitties were by far the stars of the stay!

From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed and truly like a guest in their beautiful space. Neala's hospitality was exceptional. She ensured I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay and was readily available for any questions. It was evident that they cared about my comfort during my time in their home, which made a significant difference. And let's not forget the cats - they were an absolute delight! Sweet and affectionate, they added an extra layer of warmth to the experience. They were friendly companions throughout my stay. Overall, my time house-sitting for Neala was wonderful. I left feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the opportunity to enjoy such a peaceful retreat. I would highly recommend Neala's home to anyone looking for a serene and welcoming environment. It truly was a privilege to spend time there.
Frank and Freya are dear cats who quickly adapted to a stranger in their house. They are easy going, like to play and snuggle, have belly and back rubs, and like a routine. The house is ideally located for the area and easy access to Boston. The neighborhood is quiet and also has good walking directly from the house.
