Dog Sitters in Canova, VA

I absolutely would recommend you consider Cindy and Andy for a housesit. They are great sitters. Excellent communication before and during the sit. They are very friendly and well traveled. Their flight arrived the day before the sit and they offered to get a hotel. But I invited them to come to the house to meet all my kitties and to see a little of our routine in action. Because of inclement weather to where my flight travel was intended, my plans changed at the last minute. As I was packing for a new destination just out of town, they were very respectful of my time and space before my departure. I ended up taking my dog with me so they had the freedom to be away for a longer day. They texted regular photo/videos updates of all the cats as requested. I felt very comfortable with them in my home and would welcome them back anytime. 

This was Kaitlyn's second sit for the guinea pigs and once again she did a wonderful job. Communication with Kaitlyn was excellent and she sent the most adorable photos of the piggies each day. I returned to a tidy house and happy pigs. Kaitlyn genuinely loves animals and I highly recommend her to other homeowners. She will always be welcome back any time she wishes.

We couldn’t have asked for better house and pet sitters than Minna and Avnir! They took incredible care of our dog, Tenny, for 3 ½ weeks while we were away in Saint Lucia. From the start, their communication was perfect—keeping us updated with just the right amount of messages and sending sweet photos of Tenny, so we knew she was in great hands. They were entirely self-sufficient and left our home in immaculate condition, which was such a gift to come home to. What stood out most was how much they adored Tenny—taking her on fun adventures to Greylock Glen and showering her with love and belly rubs. If you have the chance to welcome Minna and Avnir as sitters, don’t hesitate. They are truly exceptional, and we couldn’t recommend them more highly. Your pets and home will be in the best possible hands.

Tonia was amazing! From first meeting her and talking with her my heart immediately felt at ease. She communicated everything so well and checked in with us everyday with cute photos of Marlo. It of course made us miss him but knew he was in good hands since he seemed to love being close to her from the first day. She cleaned the whole house and exceeded my expectations completely when it came to 'leaving it as you found it'. It was such a treat to come home and not have to worry about a single thing. She was so sweet and caring it felt like she was family! I would recommend her to anyone who wants the assurance that their fur babies will be spoiled and very well taken care of while you are away. She goes above and beyond. Thank you for being a great sitter and person!

Katy was a relief for us to have. She came in ahead of time to meet everyone and was very communicative leading up to our trip. My dad was helping out for the first half, so I couldn't be sure what Katy was walking into, but she took it all in stride and reassured us that all was well. She made some best-judgment calls where things were fuzzy, and we got pictures every day of our babies, which was the highlight of our days. She also left the house very clean for when we got home and our plants BLOOMING. We can't say how much we appreciated her help and would love to have her again.

Petra was lovely. She communicated well, sent lots of photos/videos while we were away, took great care of the pets and left the house clean. We would definitely have her back again.

I am so fortunate because I had to cancel this sit at the last moment and Olivia and Belrie were extremely understanding. All our communications leading up to the sit were phenomenal, and I can't wait to have them stay with Pearl soon.

Couldn't have asked for a better sitter! Morgan is an extremely kind human who we hope to have pet and house sit for us again some day. Our dogs adored her and we loved the daily update photos she sent us of their adventures while we were on our trip. Morgan was prompt, organized, and asked great follow up questions in order to be prepared for her sit. Our house was left spotlessly cleaned upon our return and the dogs were in very good spirits. Angela and Denisse really saved us. We thought we had a housesitter and then received an email from the site saying that there was a problem with our original choice -- two days before we were supposed to go on vacation. We reposted, and happily Angela saw our listing, and we quickly set up a meeting with her and decided to take a chance with her and Denisse. It was a perfect match. We have three rescue animals, a dog and two cats. One of our cats is so fearful, he usually hides in the garage for most if not all of our trips. On day two, he made an appearance with them. We got lots of photos of happy, unstressed animals, which for us is the main reason why we want someone to house sit. She reached out regularly with updates, which was very much appreciated. Nothing was broken, which can happen with normal wear and tear, and also unprecedented. Everything was neat and orderly when we returned, and Angela even reached out when she hadn't heard from us because of traffic delaying us on our way home. I can't recommend them enough for being caring to our animals and considerate of our house. This was such a rushed reservation, but after meeting Angela I had a very good feeling and the photos confirmed they were kind to our animals and respectful. They were truly delightful to have stay, and I would highly recommend them both as housesitters.

Carolina was amazing, especially considering my dog required an emergency vet visit. She took great care of Homer, put his needs first, and communicated well throughout. The situation wasn't ideal for Carolina but she did an amazing job. Highly recommend!

Grace was absolutely wonderful! She was so sweet, clean, and caring with my fur babies. I would use her again in a heartbeat. I feel like we are family. Thank you grace, you are truly a blessing! ❤️
