Cat Sitters in Canton Center, CT

Lauren was wonderful in watching our home and pup, Chuck, for a week! She read our at home guide and asked questions during our interview and during the home visit. During the stay, she had some questions that she texted the first few days when she first got started about determining Chuck’s behavior (what whine/cry that meant he had to go to the restroom). She was really thorough in trying to ensure Chuck was less anxious while we were gone. She had tried a few dog tricks that didn’t work super great for chuck (rolled towel with treats), but appreciate her efforts! She also provided a photo and update for chuck each day, too. She went above and beyond in my opinion for 4 things: 1. She kindly put our bedding in the wash and dryer before she left, which allowed me to get home post flight around 10pm and not have to do it!, and 2. I unfortunately had Chuck’s food shipment arrive while we were out so Lauren very kindly brought up the box of food and placed/organized into the freezer. 3. She was able to make time to visit and meet Chuck for a 30 minute visit before her stay began which eased any concerns and the transition to watching Chuck! 4. She thoughtfully included a thank you note and treat that was ready for me upon arrival. Thank you, Lauren!

Nicole was absolutely super. She looked after my 11 year old anxious maltipoo and by the time I got home he was eating out the palm of her hand! Probably after 10 mins of me leaving! Also my daughter’s 11 year old Labrador who thinks he’s still a puppy but age is creeping up and he’s not so fit anymore and Nicole totally understood that. My house was kept in great order when I returned. I would definitely recommend Nicole to look after your home and pets.

Elizabeth was an excellent sitter. She is clearly an animal lover and was in tune with our cats, especially bonding with Daisy who loves company and cuddles and attention, but also winning over slightly more picky Saffy. Liz kept us informed throughout the sit with photos and news and we came home to two contented and calm cats. The house was neat and tidy, the sheets and towels in the wash, and everything clean. We are glad she liked our area and Bushy Park and made use of our bicycle to explore. We have no hesitation in recommenting Liz and hope to see her again in the future.

Sara and Patrick were AMAZING! I am so grateful that they wanted to stay in the Hamptons and take care of my dear fur ones, while I visited family and worked in Europe. Sara sent me daily updates, which was comforting. Their dog came for the last week, which Dylan loed. He did get some stomach issues the last week, but Sara kept me in the loop and handled everything perfectly. They fell in love with the calico (everyone does!) and both of the cats coats looked gorgeous when I got home - they were so well brushed and purr-happy. The house looked like my maids had just left, it was neat and tidy. This trip was the reason I decided to try Trusted HS and I am so grateful to have found this community of animal lovers. Elizabeth is such an amenable and reliable housesotter - it’s a breeze to work with her. She is very organized, clear about arrivals and departures, attentive to our cats and very good about sending photos and updates every few days. She works from home so she spent more time with them than we sometimes do, and both parties seemed to relish each other’s company! Elizabeth is also smart, thoughtful and resourceful.

We highly recommend Carolyn to watch over your home and pets.Carolyn stayed at our home for a month to watch over our cat, small garden and houseplants. She was mature, respectable and communicative. We were amazed at how clean our house was when we returned, which made coming home after such a long trip so helpful and pleasant. Please do consider Carolyn as a sitter for long or short stays, she certainly proved to be a trusted, kind and reputable caretaker! We would 100% have her stay again 😃

John is an amazing dog sitter. Our old pooch took to him immediately as if they were old friends. The night we got back our dog went searching for John at bedtime, missing him already. During his first night at our house a tree fell on our porch and garage. John sent us photos and assured us that no damaged happened to any windows or roofs. Communication was clear and easy and John was quite flexible about timing. Our house was immaculate upon our return and John even managed to get the bed linens washed and dried before we got back. YOU can't go wrong with John.

Kristina did an excellent job as our house sitter. We have quite a few house plants in our home and in a small green house. Kristina took great care of them. She communicated with us and sent photos whenever she was concerned about a plant. Her concerns were unwarranted as she took excellent care of them. She also communicated well with us regarding some issues with the house. Upon returning from a six-week trip we found our house sparkling clean and well taken care of. We would be happy to have Kristina sit for us again and recommend her without hesitation

This is the second visit here for Sarah. She was an excellent sitter, who paid lots of attention to our kitties and left our house very tidy. It was so nice to have her stay at our place once again, and we hope she will come back in the future!

Ruth and Roberto did a great job of taking care of our pets and house while we were away for the weekend. They communicated very well before and during their stay, kept the house tidy and even washed the sheets! Our pets seemed like they had a wonderful time with them. We would welcome them back any time!

Gladys was an ideal house sitter! She talked to me on the phone and even visited before the stay to get a feel for each other and so I could introduce her to my kitty. She was communicative before and during the stay, sending me photos and updates as requested. She left the house so clean it was almost like no one was even here and my kitty was a happy camper which tells me a lot! I would have Gladys back any time!
