Deidra and Jason took care of our house upstate NY for an entire month. They handdled the snow removal and the wood burning stoves like pros!! The animals were well taken care of, including the chickens. They left a quiche in the refrigerator for us for a quick meal upon our return. It was a very good experience for us as first time House Sitter users.
Michelle watched our cat Otto for us for two weeks and she was a very communicative and competent pet/house sitter! She was very responsive to any reminders or requests from us, on the first day she had to change the batteries in our front door lock and within a few minutes of me sending the instructions she let us know it was all set. She also did a great job taking care of our cat Otto. She was able to administer his monthly flea/tick treatment with no issues and he was happy and healthy when we came home. When we arrived home our home was clean and tidy. We would have her again in the future with no hesitation!
Spent an enjoyable week+ sitting for Kim and Roy in Tucson. The house was comfortable and well equipped, convenient for places to eat, shop, and explore. Communication before and during the sit were excellent. Rico, the lab, is a fun and pleasant companion, friendly, very well-behaved and calm. When taking Rico out to the yard, he waits patiently while you make some noise to alert the rabbits, lizards and other animals to move out of his reach. He wanted to keep me in sight most of the time but was not demanding at all - happy when I paid attention to him and happy when I was just sitting in the room with him. Luna and Sola were well behaved and easy to care for. After a few days they would sit in the room with me but didn't want to let me get too close. We played a bit with the wand but they were very happy entertaining each other and keeping an eye on the birds and other critters in the yard. They use a self-cleaning litter box that only needed to be emptied every few days - remove the plastic bag and replace. Myrtle, the tortoise lives outside and doesn't need much attention. When the hibiscus blossomed she ate the flowers that I gave her. Know that summers can be very hot.
We house and pet sat for Duncan and Nikki recently when they headed off on a family trip to Italy. We had such a lovely time in their gorgeous cottage taking care of their dog, cats and chickens. Gwen, the cocker spaniel, is a gentle, affectionate and very well-behaved dog - she is easy to walk with great recall and is also good on the lead. Their cats are very easy to look after with their own access and basic routine of food and water. We saw Ember most often, Claudia once or twice but only saw Sooty outside as she is a bit wary of strangers but thankfully Nikki and Duncan have an app so they can see that they are close by which gave us some reassurance. The chickens live in a luxurious coop which is very easy to maintain and they lay fantastic eggs! Nikki and Duncan made us feel very welcome, inviting us round before the sit and leaving us detailed notes (and an Easter Egg!), they were very easy to stay in touch with and answered any questions really quickly. We loved this house sit and would definitely return if available.
Marvis and Batman were a delight to care for. Marvis in particular is so incredibly cuddly and follows you everywhere, is great on and off the lead and we had many adventures around the stunning parks around Greenwich! Batman is so curious and loves his little snacks. Both gorgeous animals! Huey and Joseph provided everything I needed to feel at home and were always only a message away. Loved my time here, super comfy and relaxed housesit and would highly recommend to anyone :)
We had a lovely month staying at Rick and Carol's house looking after Pepe and Chicha. We arrived the night before and Rick and Carol served us dinner. They gave us a tour of their home and showed us how to use everything. Rick and Carol warmly welcomed us and by the next morning we didn't want them to leave! We bid them on their way and turned to our remit of looking after Pepe and Chicha. Pepe has an easy schedule, he's enthusiastic and was content to hang out with the two of us. He's a great walker. Chicha is shy and it took time for her to accept our attention. By the time we left, she was purring and even drooled on us. The set-up for her food and litter is excellent. Communication with our hosts was consistently available when we needed it. The house and grounds are beautiful. We'd highly recommend this sit and would be delighted to return ourselves.
Garbanzo and Rupert were nice and sweet. Their home is lovely and the accommodations were nice. It was a short drive to downtown and many attractions. Instructions and communication were very clear. Would recommend!
Frankie is so cuddly! We learnt quickly that when she rolls onto her back, she wants to be picked up and carried like a baby. We give her back and head rubs while she’s in our arms and she purrs so much. We sneak in some belly rubs too.. She’s also got an amusing drinking ritual from the tap 😂 Overall very sweet and loving cat. Mishka and Ciarán are amazing hosts. They made us dinner the night before they left, and were very welcoming. They also gave us lots of recommendations and were very communicative. The welcome guide is also incredibly detailed and had everything we needed to know. Their flat is so central to Den Bosch, and was incredibly convenient for us with shops and the market at their doorstep. The train station is close too! Such a beautiful home.
