What a wonderful sit! We fell in love with the animals, the home, the community and the country! We were so fortunate to get two house sits with a small break between which gave us the opportunity to explore more of Scotland. Nicky and David were so accommodating and kept in touch while they were away, with great response time anytime we had a question. The home was very comfortable, with a great bedroom/ensuite for our comfort. Although we have experience on farms, we had never looked after llamas or sheep before, but Nicky and David gave us great guidance and training. Their menagerie of rescues were pets that didn't take long to fall in love with. We cherished the daily walks with Robbie and Millie and cuddles with Cara. We hope one day to get an opportunity to return. I would highly recommend this house sit to anyone wishing to experience a small hobby farm in the idyllic Scottish countryside.

Daven and Ivan were the best hosts in my THS experience!

We arrived the night before to get along with Gali because he is a man of character! The next morning he got used to us and was quite friendly. He didn't let us pet him, but he was very happy to play with his favourite toys, which I loved too! If you are a empathetic sitter, everything would be totally fine.

The night before, Daven and Ivan showed us around Berkeley and cooked a great meal. When they returned we had a lovely evening with cherry pie and they gave us incense from their trip to Baja.

PS, thank you guys for the 5-star experience, hope to meet you in California, Baja or Ukraine someday!

I had the best time hanging out with Stanley in Houston for two weeks. Stacie and Tom were incredibly welcoming, accommodating and helpful the entire time. I arrived during a power outage and they helped me navigate it as best as I could by providing me with candles and flashlights, giving updates and checking in to see how we were doing. The neighbors were also very friendly and would check in to see how we were doing when they saw us taking walks. Fortunately the power came back on on the third day, so from then on it was just Stanley and I hanging inside, going out in the pool and taking walks around the very beautiful and walkable neighborhood that they live in.

Stanley is super easy to take care of. He’s a large dog so he does require stimulation and activity, but he has a ton of toys to play with inside, is very good on walks and will happily expend energy swimming and playing in the yard. When I worked during the day, he would just sleep behind me. He slept with me every single night after the power came back on, but always stayed on his side of the bed haha. He actually never woke me up in the morning, which was much appreciated, but once he saw that I was awake, he would be snuggly, which is really the only time of day he acts that way. He likes his morning cuddles which Stacie and Tom had let me know about. So cute.

Aside from going to an Astros game one night and heading down to the museums one afternoon, I spent the majority of my time in the Heights and the neighboring Montrose district. There are so many great places to get food in walking distance so you could easily try something new and delicious every day. I also found that Lyfts or Ubers basically anywhere were really affordable, and I even took the bus a few times which, depending on what bus you’re taking, is either a two block or four block walk to catch.

You can tell Stanley is very loved. I would happily hang out with him in their beautiful home again.

I absolutely loved sitting for Ursula and Farzam! They couldn’t be more lovely and warm people. They gave me very detailed information about the house, including a tour before the sit and were super responsive and available throughout my stay.

Their spacious home, which they designed themselves with impeccable detail is an architectural masterpiece. Preserving much of the original charm of the 3-story brownstone, they updated everything with modern amenities and beautiful furnishings. It’s in a cool Brooklyn neighborhood which was also fun to explore and is a relatively easy commute into Manhattan.

The star of the show, however, is Panya! He’s the funniest, silliest cat with such a huge personality! He’s a little mischievous at times but so playful and sweet. While he doesn’t always like to snuggle, he would come give me kisses in the middle of the night and bring me his favorite toy as a gift :). He stayed by my side as I worked during the day, mostly watching over me. He also loves to jump into anything he can (drawers, refrigerators etc) and has big bursts of energy that kept me quite entertained. I totally fell in love with him!

Linda, Larry and Bodhi are utter magic. I fell in love with them from the get go on our first zoom call and what an experience it was from start to finish. I had the best week meeting them, spending a couple days with them either side of the sit. They made me feel more than welcome and loved. Their home is absolutely gorgeous and Bodhi well what can I say!!! Bodhi is the definition of her name, she is a beautiful soul with so much love to give. We had the best girly week bonding, playing, exploring Ponte De Lima and learning new tricks. It was a truly heart warming experience and I didn’t want to leave! I don’t have enough words although I could talk about them forever. They opened my eyes and my heart to a wonderful way of living and made me feel more at home than I’ve felt before. I’m very grateful to have met all of them and I hold them dearly in my heart forever. Experience their magic for yourselves first hand if I don’t beat you to it myself next time 😉

I had so much fun sitting Tilley and Sox, they are such sweet natured cats and love to play and cuddle. We spent a lot of time snoozing in the sunny conservatory together!

Gail and Colin’s house is in a beautiful part of the country east of Bristol, and I loved walking around the area by the river or on the railway path. Cannot recommend enough!
