Maggie
We had a lovely time in Wellington. Maggie is very easy to communicate with. Her house and neighborhood is very nice. We fell in love with the pups! They are absolutely adorable and sooo sweet. Boo is a hoot. They loved going on walks, Boo must be leading the way or else he will pull you along like a little husky. Her neighborhood is perfect for walking. We really enjoyed our time here.

Of course! Here’s the updated review including those details:

We had the pleasure of house sitting for Heidi and Will and taking care of their two delightful dogs, Boris and Flora. Boris and Flora are truly characters – each with their own unique personality that brought so much joy to our stay. We enjoyed every walk with them, especially the National Trust walks nearby, which offered stunning scenery and great exercise.

The house itself was superb – comfortable, well-equipped, and beautifully maintained. It felt like a home away from home. The WiFi was excellent, which was a huge plus since we were working from there. We also appreciated the convenience of a local shop for food items, which made it easy to get everything we needed.

Communication with Heidi and Will was easy and straightforward from start to finish, making the entire process smooth and enjoyable.

We would be more than happy to house sit again and highly recommend this opportunity to anyone considering it!

Hike
Hike and Hans made us feel wonderfully at home, Milo is a lovely lab and their home is a beautiful Queenslander gem! We would highly recommend this house and dog sit!

We were there for 6 weeks so we had lots of time to explore this corner of Australia, but we also enjoyed just spending time at home, often on the back deck where we ate most of our meals. There is a tree by the back deck with little yellow flowers and the tree would fill up with Rainbow Lorikeets, large beautiful rainbow colored parrots. It was amazing to just sit on the deck and watch them nibble and listen to them chatter.

Milo is a sweetheart. He would keep me company on my daily walks and keep Charlie company whenever his was in the kitchen. He’s affectionate, well behaved and loves his treats, carrots, and was not fussed by the little toad that would visit his water bowl every night.

Maryborough is a historic town and it has a weekly market, which we really enjoyed. Their home is a particular type of Australian house called a Queenslander, and if you are interested in architecture, or even if you’re not, it’s great to get to live in one.

Don’t hesitate to apply to this house sit. Hike and Hans took great care to make sure we were comfortable and they even loaned us their car so we could really explore the area. I would recommend doing just that. There’s a little bit of driving involved but it’s Australia, it’s a big place and it’s worth exploring.
