ALLY! What a true gem of a human, house sitter, and pet lover! She took notes and was very thorough in making the transition for our pups and kitty so easy!

I would have Ally back in a heartbeat. She was so communicative with us before, during, and even after the stay. She followed all of our care instructions (to a T) and our animals were all so happy with her here!

10/10 review from us, and I truly hope we have the pleasure of having Ally stay with our babies again in the future!

Tom was super communicative, welcoming, and really easy to coordinate with. Manley was a joy to hang out with - cute, well behaved, and easy to fall in love with. The house was beautiful, clean, and in a great location. Thanks Tom!

We feel so lucky to have the experience housesitting Frank and Ellen's home in Floyd. Our time here was beautiful, smooth, and so much fun.

Floyd might seem like the middle of nowhere to outsiders (like us) but we were amazed by how much it had to offer. Live music almost everywhere, a top-tier local coffee roaster, a grocery store with a great selection, and a cute farmer's market with quality food. People here were FRIENDLY! They loved talking with strangers and were always pleasant and welcoming.

Sam and Dee are sweet, well-behaved dogs. They're getting older so sometimes they need a little extra help, but they mostly just want to stick to their routine and hang out with people. My favorite memories from our time here will certainly be their daily walks through the woods. The trees, the dogs, the nature, the pond–I know I'm going to miss that the most.

Frank and Ellen's property has so much nature to enjoy. We visited at the tail end of winter so we got to see all sorts of greenery start to peek out, tadpoles hatch from their eggs, groups of deer walking the trails, and explore the trails to find "Frank's 7 bridges." Down the hill is a pond where we'd enjoy a long afternoon when the weather was nice. It's an amazing place to read a book or even float in a canoe.

The house was comfortable and well stocked. There was plenty of cookware, cleaning supplies, and everything else we needed to settle in. They really encouraged us to just be comfortable in their home.

Frank and Ellen are the best hosts you could hope for. They really understand that while yes, we're here to take care of their home and pets, more than that it's an opportunity to meet interesting people, share things with each other. They truly love sharing their corner of the world with others. We loved connecting with them, learning about their lives, and sharing updates with each other.

We're so glad to have met you Frank and Ellen and can't wait to see you again.

I had a great time sitting for Calvin and Humphrey. They are fantastic cats and had very reasonable needs throughout the day. Humphrey cuddled and watched TV with me almost every night and Calvin always purred when he got petting.

Alicia responded quickly to any issues that arose and made sure to keep the lines of communication open through my entire stay. I did run into some issues being a night owl, and did manage to get myself locked out of the condo once. But Alicia and I were able to get physical keys and a garage door opener made/working so no one else should have the same problems I did. Just make sure to take a key if you're going to be out late!

Fair warning: Calvin's eye does water sometimes so you may see reddish drops on the floor and bathroom counter. This doesn't hurt him, it's just inconvenient. If he trusts you enough you can wipe his face with a towel to clean him up (he can also be a messy eater <3)

The condo is within walking distance of a bunch of restaurants, a yoga studio and even the beach. I would definitely sit for Alicia again!

Alex and Viri are amazing hosts! They made me feel completely at home and took time to share additional details with me at the outset, including getting to know both Loki and Smokey from the moment I arrived so that they were comfortable with me. Thank you very much to Alex and Viri for trusting me with your family, they are the most gorgeous boys and I miss them already!

We had a fabulous time looking after Peppa and Dottie in the Salisbury countryside. The puppies were so much fun, Dottie loved a tummy rub and Peppa enjoyed her cuddles. The home was so very welcoming and we enjoyed our daily walks with the pups, meeting the neighbours and pottering in the garden. Brooke was a fabulous host ensuring we had all of the information we needed for a successful stay and was also available for us to get in touch if needed. We are looking forward to our return trip to look after the pups and gerbils very soon and would recommend this housesit for anyone considering a relaxing stop in a rural and unique place surrounded by magical countryside hosted by a very welcoming family.
