I have been nothing but pleased with the treatment my puppy has gotten at the Dawg House. The building is as clean and well-kept as could be expected. The groomers are all very kind and timely, even when I have asked for things slightly out of the norm. They do a great job, too! Nice looking cuts. I have a pretty rigid work schedule, and they have always worked to accommodate me and get an appointment in at the end of the day, without having to schedule 3 months in advance. All for a fair and competitive price. I can't speak highly enough of the Dawg House. However, I don't recommend you schedule here, because there will then be less space for me to pamper my doggy.

They did a great job handling my anxious, high-energy dog. They cleaned up her paws, trimmed her nails, did a great job of de-shedding, and gave her an adorable little bow. Highly recommend. Also, there's a nice cafe a short walk down the main street where you can wait until the grooming is finished.

Love the Dawg House! I’ve been taking my 2 year old Cockapoo there since she was 8 months old and they’ve always done such a great job with her. Groomers before had always said my dog was hard to work with because she doesn’t like having her feet touched but the staff at Dawg house has been patient with her from the jump and always seem so excited to see her! I wish they were open on saturdays but I love how well they take care of my girl so much I make it work!

We go out of our way to take our bernedoodle here to get groomed by Jared! He has been so kind and gentle with our puppy who is now 10 months old and loves his groomer! Our dog gets so excited when he sees the building which we take as a great sign, and he is always so clean, detangled, and happy! Reception is also always very kind and helpful! I am very pleased with the ladies at the Dawg House. I have a 17-week Goldendoodle pup who is not fond on her face being touched or her hair being brushed. I was a little nervous, but the ladies really took their time and had a lot of patience which I am very appreciative of. They did such an awesome job. Here’s some before and after pics.

We were visiting Carmel for a month from Colorado and needed to find a temporary groomer while away from home. The Dawg House was very accommodating and made it easy to set up in advance. They were super friendly when we arrived and Tiffany did a great job grooming our Portuguese Water Dog (not an easy breed to get the cut right). Highly recommend.

First and most likely last.. I dropped them at 1 pm and picked them up at 3:40. So first they said 2 hours, then texted after the 2 hour mark and said 25 extra minutes and still they were not ready. I had to go in and let them know ive been on standby. When I dropped them I made it clear I wanted the facial hair like a bear so not completely shaved but rounded out. They didnt listen and thinned out most of it. They look like rat dogs. At pick up I found out they both were completely shaved. One dogs legs were matted but they never needed to be saved. He also has the curly hair. The pup with straight hair barely had any but they said they both were extremely matted and basically needed a full shave was needed so I was upset. I feel like because they tried to hurry up and it was easier that they decided to shave my dogs. The lady at check out said well it’s not the end of the world and itll grow back. The one with straight hair had a nice little cut by him rib cage and it was a little deep too. Biggest thing... they were returned to me almost different dogs. The one thats never aggressive was all day and night. The one that was aggressive wasnt at all. So they both seemed off. Skiddish almost like they were vilated. They seemed not themselves and frankly traumatized. Not sure how they handled my dogs. Needless to say I wouldnt go back. My dogs are not quite back to their normal behavior yet it took 2 full days. So overall.... not super happy and wouldn’t recommend. So difficult to find a trustworthy and dependable groomer that listens.

Kristen was great helping me schedule my appointment to have my dogs nails trimmed. Olivia did a great job on the actual trimming and we were in and out quickly. Really appreciate the service and the very friendly atmosphere!

Freddie has never looked better. The staff at The Dawg House are wonderful to deal -- accommodating, efficient, caring and talented. Our dog always comes from The Dawg House looking handsome.

Absolutely the best dog sitting experience I have ever had. I truly wish more places were as easy and as quality as Signature Paw Spa. We were very lucky for a last minute puppy sitters Josh and Sheadon that took great care of our little girl. They asked all important questions and were very professional. I can tell our little one was well cared for. I also really love that they give you the option for the pet to be dropped off to you! Thanks so much guys!

So my friends and I rarely get days off together. When we did we decided to go to Monterey. We brought our 2 dogs and unfortunately we cant bring them to Aquarium. Last minute I called Signature Paw Spa and luckily they have availability. I dropped my dogs just 15-20 mins after I called them and we all were able to go to the aquarium. They are really nice people and had kept me updated about my babies from time to time and My babies seemed to have enjoyed their time at Tonya's. I definitely recommend them

It was my first time leaving my 5 month old puppy with a pet sitter, and Signature Pet Spa/Tonya was awesome to put both me and my pup at ease. Tonya managed to work me in even though I called the day before I needed a pet sitter. She sent updates and pictures of my puppy enjoying her day, and my pup came back to me happy and well exercised when I picked her up. I definitely will be using Signature Pet Spa again!

Hands down the best dog experience!!!! I’ve used many dog services while traveling and I have to say ginger loved this place the moment she arrived. The owner came out to greet her and I when we arrived, which is a wonderful added bonus compared to some other place I have been to. The property offers a big grassy area for her to run and play, I was thrilled to see Tanya bonded perfectly from the moment ginger arrived. The pick up process was smooth and efficient since I was rushing to get back out of town. I would recommend this place to everyone with a beloved dog.

We called to get last minute day care for our dog, Gunner, during the US Open. The owner was so accommodating and made our pup feel right at home. If you are traveling to the area from out of town I would highly recommend this place if you are in need of doggie day care!

Signature Paw Spa is a life saver. My dog sitter canceled last minute on me and I was able to get my dog Charlie in at Signature Paw Spa. They sent me lots of pictures and videos of him playing with all his other little friends. Charlie was in their care for 3 days and he had a fabulous time! Thank you Signature Paw spa for saving my trip!

Tonya was so nice and accommodating - we asked for overnight boarding on the weekend with no notice and she was able to take our dog no problem. We got a few updates during his stay and felt very confident that he was getting great care in a wonderful setting. We would absolutely go to signature paw spa again!

Signature Paw Spa is the absolute best pet sitting service in the area.. I know my dog is in wonderful company when I leave him with Signature Paw Spa.. I love how the owner will take pictures and send them to me throughout his time with them.. He always looks so happy and like he is hanging such a blast.. i highly recommend SPS. Tonya the owner is VERY VERY organized and was very easy to communicate with. The dog sitting part of her business is at a large lovely home in Carmel. Convenient location for Monterey, Carmel and Big Sur. Tonya coordinated everything and was so nice to be flexible to our travel plans.. Decker was given lots attention and came back to us very happy

Easily 10 stars out of 5!!! Jen met us and our two dogs for a day visit a couple weeks ago. Our dogs had been total homebodies and never socialized with other dogs. Jen made us at ease and when we picked them up they were happy, exhausted and had played with the other dogs all day. She said she would introduce the dogs one at a time and make them comfortable. We were so happy with the day visit we used her for a four day vacation. This location is Disneyland for doggies. Jen and her family love the dogs and interact with them all day and night. We received daily updates, pictures and videos. This is above and beyond what we had received at another boarding location. Knowing our dogs were safe and happy allowed us to enjoy our trip. Jen even worked one on one with our two dogs, teaching the pup to play well with the little dog. She is truly amazing and we recommend her and will be using her for more trips in the future.

Beyond 5 Stars! We are locals and were going on vacation to Europe and needed a place to leave our Aussie. She's really sensitive to the noise of garbage trucks and UPS/FedEx trucks so we were hoping for something quiet. The Kloud 9 property is set 'up above the road' and is accessible by a narrow driveway, too small for the above mentioned trucks - so quiet for our dog! Jen kept us updated with emails and many photos of our dog having a great time with many of the other dogs boarding there. Knowing our pup was well cared for and having a good time made us feel great. When we got back we could tell that our dog was happy to see us but was sad to be leaving Jen and Kloud 9.

We love Kloud 9 Ranch. Our dog is so well taken care of there. Jen, the owner, is a veterinary tech and she loves to work with dogs. She has done very good things with our "reactive" dog and she always has such "spot-on" insights into our dog's behavior.

Walter loves coming here. Jen gives him so much attention. He comes home exhausted from so much fun. The place is sparkling clean, doesn't reek of dog and Jen is just so nice to work with. We wish her many many more years of success, because I'd hate to take our dog anywhere else.

I contacted Kloud 9 Ranch via email in an attempt to board my dog, and never received a response. When several days passed, I called to no answer and subsequently sent a text to follow-up. I received a very short response saying they are not taking new clients, which is fine, however if I would've received a response I would've looked elsewhere and not have been in a pickle trying to board my dog on short notice. I thanked the owner and simply asked/recommended that they post that on the website or respond to reservation requests with that information. I was completely shocked when I received the most unprofessional response: "If I had time for that I would but I do not and since you feel the need to give advice I will return the favor. Don't assume you know anything about anyone before you speak to them personally." While anyone can understand that life events happen that limit people's time, it is ludicrous to me that a business owner would take such a rude approach to a potential client. Word to the wise to anyone considering reaching out to this person for dog boarding, save yourself the time and curt interaction.

This is a beautiful impressive place where dogs and people are treated personally and with respect, attention to detail, careful planning and a background of experience. It is a fun and relaxing mood up there, but also no-nonsense ....about health, security and discerning and meeting individual needs.

My Cavapoo Ollie had his very first hair cut/spa day with Michelle and we were thrilled! Michelle is so gentle, caring and knowledgeable and my pup loves her. I would never take him anywhere else. And she not only does an amazing job, she is efficient and Ollie never has to go in a crate and wait to be groomed for hours. She picks him up and drops him off and he is always so excited to see her so I know he is good hands. I have referred numerous dog owners to her since she not only grooms, but dog walks, and pet sits! Michelle is a pro and we love her!!!!

Michelle is amazing! We have two Australian Shepherd dogs. The older one hated getting groomed at the large facilities, but was so much happier with her! They always look so adorable after her stellar grooming skills! Always on time and great with communication! Love the All Starr experiences ❤️

Michelle has groomed our dog Oso several times and she has always done a FANTASTIC job. She’s great about communicating what she is going to do and why and is enthusiastic to help with other pet needs and recommending affordable and effective products. Apart from Oso coming home smelling clean and feeling so, so soft one of my favorite things about Michelle is her flexibility! Truly, you will not go wrong hiring Michelle!

I have been using Michelle to pet sit my precious mini schnauzer, Pearl, and cat, Peanut, for several years. She is very knowledgeable on animals, and gives them tons of love when I'm out of town. She sends me pictures and updates that let me know they are doing well so I can relax and enjoy my vacation. She also takes Pearl for daycare and gives her lots of walks! Very trustworthy!

I just love Michelle! She is always on time, takes her time with Bug (our 4 year old pit bull) and always is very attentive. Her prices are very reasonable and she always has a friendly smile. ALSO... Shes like the post man... rain, snow, sleet or shine= she comes to rescue!

I've been a loyal customer of Dawg Gone It Kennel in Monterey for the past three years, regularly boarding our Labrador, Gracie, there when we travel. Until now, we've always had positive experiences, and Gracie has come back happy. However, this past Wednesday, I left her there for just one night due to an out-of-town event, and the situation was alarming upon her return. When we picked her up, Gracie could hardly walk. Her right thigh seemed uninjured, yet she struggled to use it. She couldn't stand on her own, even to get out of the truck at home, so my husband had to help her up the stairs. Disturbingly, Gracie has eaten only twice since we brought her back on Thursday. We've reached out to Dawg Gone It to find out what happened, but no one seems to have any answers. We requested a review of the surveillance footage and were assured it would happen, but so far, nothing has been done. Despite promises that the manager would call us, she hasn't. When we called again on Friday, we were told that the owner was dealing with personal issues and couldn't review the video. Now it's Saturday, three days since Gracie came home, and neither a manager nor the owner has reached out or explained what occurred. Although her leg is improving slightly, she still refuses to eat. I'm extremely disappointed and disheartened that the staff at Dawg Gone It is prioritizing personal matters over addressing the concerns of their customers, especially when a beloved pet was returned in such distress. Sadly, we will not be using their services again

We've had our dogs there multiple times, for multiple nights stay. Always happy to walk in. Nobody ever comes home acting traumatized. You can walk in there and ask to be shown the place at random. I've done this. The staff that work there are nice. I've never had any issues. A++

Thank you for taking such good care of Augustus. I really appreciated the peace of mind I got knowing how well cared for he was. I especially appreciated the playtime with the other dogs, your working his medication in with his food, the attentive staff, and lastly, the wonderful grooming before pick up. I highly recommend Dawg Gone It…this is more than a five star facility. Thank you so much!

This is our go to home away from home for our pups. While we hate to leave them, we always know they will be safe and well cared for here. It gets expensive if you load up walks, play time and cuddles. Have a plan when going in or you will add everything at check in and get surprised when you pay. Be sure to book your reservation a free weeks ahead of time in the summer.

Casey has been coming here when we come to Pebble Beach to volunteer. Stephanie does great work every visit! 2025 will be our 3rd year!

Our Aussie, Gus, seemed to have enjoyed his stay at Dawg Gone It more than our previous arrangements via Rover. He stayed for a day and a half. I think it was $35-40 for one night and then an additional $10 per hour of group play time. Although I wish these types of services we're included in the stay, they did provide a long list of a variety of services at different price points and packages. The staff also shared a couple of stories about Gus' stay when we came in to pick him up, which was nice and personal.

I found myself in a situation where I had to board my service dog over night. this was not something I was comfortable doing and was very stressed. Dawg Gone It was absolutely wonderful. they allowed me to tour their facility even tho it was a last minute need and they where closing. it was clean and very nice by the time I left I felt comfortable leaving such an important dog in their care. They where respectful and obeyed my request that her Fi tracking collar be left on at all times. I feel confident knowing that if I ever travel in that area again and run into the need to board Snow that she will be safe and well cared for.

My doggie Lucy has always been treated with kindness and gentleness. I would never leave her anywhere else! Stephanie and Rob are doing a great job! Every one of their workers are A+ wonderful!

Wish I could give zero stars. Said my dog wasn’t interested in socializing with other dogs and kept my medium sized dog in a small kennel the entire week. Pretty suspicious that there are 3 reviews written but 101 total “reviews”. Just wanted to give others better expectation on what you are getting for the price. Will not use again.

I have boarded my two beagles here several times over the years. I took a tour of the place before I left them for the first time and was impressed by the overall cleanliness, security and bright and happy atmosphere of this facility. I feel 100% confident that my dogs are safe when they are staying at Doggone It in Monterey. The staff is polite and friendly, follow my feeding instructions carefully (one of my dogs was older and had some special needs) and my dogs are so happy when I pick them up. I highly recommend Doggone It to anyone looking for a great place for their dogs to stay for daycare or overnight boarding.

We took our 'inherited' older blind/deaf dog there after his previous groomer had passed. We were hesitant as he is special needs and tends to be a shy boy. They were absolutely fantastic starting from the booking down to the groom. They updated me throughout the day on how he was doing, and kept me reassured the whole time. When it was time to pick up Joe, he was like a brand new pup! He was such a handsome boy and he was so excited to be feeling so fresh and clean. We will definitely be taking our old boy there again. Staff was amazing! Thank you!

We’ve brought our dogs here for years. Around 4 years ago Home Away From Home suffered a major fire in the building, and since, they have rebuilt and come such a long way. Our Aussie Shepherd Haku loves it here, and the staff know and love him. He always comes back to us clean and happy with a fresh grooming when we pick him up. It’s just a very personal experience with Home Away From Home. Joel obviously loves dogs, and has made his passion his career. Five stars from a loyal customer.

I am absolutely so disappointed that I brought my beautiful little rabbit Bambi to this establishment.The front desk was very rude and told me that our rabbit was stressed out and started biting her fur because we were late picking her up. She has never done that ever. When they brought her out she was missing a chunk of hair and stress shedding her hair was falling out please see picture. The front desk person also charged my card without asking. She was also very unprofessional saying that she will sue me because we told her that we were going to give them a bad review. Absolutely a horrible person. I can’t tell you how distressing this experience was.

After adopting my dog from the SPCA I was hesitant to take my pup to any groomer. After doing some research and asking friends/family I decided to make an appointment and bring him in. Joi was helpful with setting up an appointment and all the staff including the groomer were fantastic. The whole experience was easy and hassle free, not to mention the groomer did a great job. I am so glad I found this place and will continue to bring him in!

Nothing but good things to say! We have been taking our dogs here for about a year now, based on a neighbor’s recommendation and are very pleased with each visit! HAFH’s boarding, daycare, and grooming are great services. Our dogs come home well socialized and tired from play in daycare. The boarding is wonderful when we can’t take them with us, and they even have a big van that they can come pick up your pets if needed! The onsite grooming is also great, especially when combined at the end of a boarding or daycare. The dogs come back very well cared for! The staff have always been polite and professional, in person and on the phone, and are great people who care about the pets they’re watching. Couldn’t recommend them more!

Home away from home is by far the best place for your fur babies. Wonderful location, loving and caring owners and staff great prices not to mention awesome grooming services.We will definitely be back. Skittles loves you all.

Wonderful staff, I felt very comfortable my baby here for the weekend. They assured me that she would be well taken care of, and she was. They were quick to respond when I asked how she was doing, and even sent me videos of her playing outside. I was nervous to take her because sometimes my Doberman gets snappy with other dogs. But they kept her alone, and still let her outside to play. I didn’t have to worry about a thing the whole time she was here and I thank you for that.

HAFH has been so amazing with my pup, Opal! Opal is a rescue and tends to be shy/skiddish in new places, with new people, and with new pups. But the HAFH staff have been SO helpful, welcoming, and supportive of Opal! She has been so taken care of and loved there. I know she’s safe and having fun during daycare and boarding stays! Truly a wonderful facility with amazing staff! Opal & I will miss you!!

Absolutely fantastic customer service, and even better service for my dog. I use their services often for when I am out of town or need a daycare, and they are fantastic every single time. They really show they care about the animals they work with and will even take time to give my dog a quick bath if she's played too much throughout the day! My dog also always comes home happy and ready for a looong nap after playing all day. Highly recommend their services for any of your pets needs.

Dropped my pup off for half a day so my family could go to the Aquarium. It was 2 blocks from the Aquarium and reasonable to keep her there for the day. It was raining out, so they washed her paws when I came to pick her up to get the mud off. She seemed in great spirits when she came out! Would recommend for travelers needing to board the dog!

Gus has the best time at the day care! Definitely well use again when we visit Monterey

My husband, checked our dog who Is a cockapoo into “Casa de Amigos Animal Hotel” on October 20th , 2024, in Monterey California. At or around 4:30PM that evening, my husband and myself arrived at the facility to retrieve our dog at which point the hotel staff informed us that our dog had went missing from the facility. The staff had failed to properly secure their facility and supervise our dog as per the agreement. The police was contacted on behalf of my family and matters were taken into our own hands as the facility informed us that they did not have protocol for this type of incident. I was able to track my dog based off information received from a good Samaritan who located my missing dog and had submitted information to the police department. The staff and entire facility failed to show any sort of sympathy towards this situation and didn't seem to care that our dog was missing. We have not yet received a call from the manager or owner of the business regarding this matter. I am extremely unsatisfied with the service we were provided with. The lack of professionalism that was demonstrated in this facility needs to change immediately.

The staff at Casa de Amigos is always courteous and profession. They always remember my dog and are enthusiastic to see her when we walk in. My dog gets so excited when we pull into the parking lot! I love that they send pictures daily when we board her overnight.They have reasonable pricing and are kind enough to offer a military discount.

My little guy absolutely LOVED going to Casa de Amigos! The staff here are wonderful, and treat your dog like family. They always text me photos, which I appreciate. Your pup is in good hands here. I cannot recommend them enough! Also, their grooming services are AMAZING!

Used the daycare while visiting the aquarium. I had emailed earlier in the week with someone there. But they did not have our reservation when we arrived but everything went fine checking our little guy in they still accepted him. Picked him up 7 hours later and he is pooped and happy. Smooth process and the folks there were very nice. Next time we are in Monterey I would come back and recommend.

They are so great and take good care of your pets. We have a 9 month old we've been bringing for daycare for socialization and they've been really great with her and have really made gains with her. Would recommend. We trust them with her when we have to board over night as well.

Mecca is as great with humans as she is dogs! She has a welcoming and trusting demeanor and professionalism that lend to her skills of coordinating our changing plans while giving our pit bull the attention and love she deserves while we're away. Mecca has always loved animals. But she doesn't just do pet sitting! If you are going on a short or extended trip, she will spend time with your pets while you're away. She also does dog walking, as well.

Mecca is amazing! My dogs literally go straight to her house when they occasionally escape the yard. They LOVE her and so do I! HIGHLY recommend!

Zaida my border collie foster dog loves her visits to play in both the small/medium dogs play area and also with the large dogs. Dogwood Ranch does a great job caring for her, giving meds and keeping them busy and happy! Highly recommend to others.

I have taken my dog Skip here on several occasions for day care. I am extremely satisfied with the results of these visits and can't say enough about how confident I am with giving them the care and responsibility for my dog during that time. I will be taking him there on a regular basis from now on.

Dogwood is an absolute lifesaver! Our high-energy Border Collie/German Shepherd mix has boarded at Dogwood over 10 times, and we couldn't be happier with their care. She can be a bit anxious, but it's clear she feels right at home there. The staff is incredibly loving and attentive, and we always feel completely at ease knowing she’s in such good hands. We especially appreciate the pictures they send us while we’re away – it's so nice to see her happy face!

My three family dogs have been visiting Dogwood Ranch for many years now- on a very regular basis. We utilize the transportation option and they bolt out the front door and into the transporters car every time. They love their visits to "camp Dogwood." Jessica and her amazing team have nursed my dog through a genetic illness and shared in the joys of new puppies. They have trained my dogs excellently and have provided me videos of the training sessions so I know what to work on at home. The staff is so helpful and organized. I often forget to select my grooming and they always follow up before my boys come home and ask if I want grooming. If I call or text, I get a very quick response. They keep all of the kennels and play areas very clean. All dogs have to be up to date on vaccines and thankfully, they require bordetella vaccine every 6 months. My dogs have NEVER come home with any illness or issues. I appreciate that they require a temperament visit for each new client, it makes me feel very secure that my dogs will not be with any aggressive dogs. During my dogs visits, I receive photos so often. On holidays, they take photos of the dogs with a festive background. I have utilized almost every boarding option at one point or another. The selection is big-- extra cuddles, sleeping inside, extra play time, treats, etc. The grooming options are always expanding and my dogs come home clean and smelling so nice each time-- with clean teeth! My dogs come home tired and very happy every time. They spend a couple of days being very lazy after their time at "camp." There is no other boarding facility I would utilize for our family dogs. Ever. I trust Jessica and her team more than anything. I know that they are professional, kind, and absolutely treat my dogs like family.

Highly recommend! A well run pet resort in every way. Highly organized, almost all sizes and breeds accommodated. Your pets' health and well-being are a top priority and not an afterthought.

The facility is very clean and well maintained. I took Gracie for a "temperament check" which is required before you can board your dog. I like that they check out the dogs and place your dog in the group your dog would feel most comfortable in. I look forward to boarding Gracie, it gives me peace of mind that she will be well taken care of.

My boy loves going to Dogwood! There are multiple yards to match dogs of similar age with similar play styles. I love how it is all outdoors, and my boy enjoys it way more than indoor play yards. The staff there is always so nice and let's me know how his day went. They even send pictures and videos during the day! During the holidays, they also dress some of the dogs up to take pictures, it's so cute! Dogwood is definitely the best doggy day care we've been to!

We love the staff and facilities at Dogwood Ranch Pet Resort! Yara has been going to doggie daycare weekly and occasional boarding. She whines and howls when we arrive and can’t wait to get in there and see her buddies. She had a great bath yesterday and looks and smells so much better! The staff is very attentive and the large outdoor areas give the dogs plenty of space to play. Our neighbor recommended the ranch, and we are happy to have found a good and caring doggie daycare and boarding place!

We have had the opportunity to find local pet sitters in our travels over the past several years. Freya, Happy Dog Carmel, was the absolute best dog sitter we have come across in the five years we have had our dog, Zoe. She shows a genuine interest and possesses a certain spirit or energy with animals. “Zoe” can be a little ‘clingy’ or needy and she looked forward to seeing Freya the next day of our trip. We highly recommend Happy Dog Carmel whenever the need arises. Freya will give your pet the love and attention that they deserve.

I booked a last minute trip to Pebble Beach to see my parents who were in town & didn’t know what to do with my 9 week old mini dachshund! I couldn’t leave her alone for too long just yet, so a quick google search led me to Freya’s business and her hotel sitting offerings. Freya was nothing short of perfect for Olive’s first experience with a dog sitter. Freya came to the hotel I was staying at, was super flexible on timing as we were at dinner, and tired out my girl so much she slept straight through the night for the first time since getting her. She sent photo updates & even shared tips of what she noticed Olive potentially liked or disliked in toys and activities. It was worth its weight in gold to have the peace of mind of Freya with Olive & I’ll definitely give her a call again when I’m back in the area!

We (and our dog!) had a genuinely VIP+ and completely worry-free experience with Freya and Happy Dog Carmel while visiting Monterrey for the 2023 holiday season. After traveling to the area so many times over the years, my wife and I always returned home a little disappointed that we could never visit the Monterrey aquarium since we always brought our dog with us, knowing how pet-friendly the entire region is. This time around, we had the idea to search for a local service that could board or take our Pomeranian for a day so we could finally visit the aquarium. After literally spending 4+ hours on Google searching for options in Carmel and Monterrey and checking reviews of the top ones, I was still skeptical and concerned since every single one had some recent bad reviews here and there. One that presents itself as a "luxury" option in the area didn't respond to my contact promptly, and when it did, the address provided didn't match its website; it was a house in a random area in Carmel. When I checked Happy Dog Carmel — the only option I found with consistently positive reviews — I wasn't sure if they would take our dog since their website doesn't mention such service; only dog walking, sitting-at-the-hotel, or in-home visits. However, I was happily surprised when I contacted Freya, who promptly confirmed she could take our dog for the day. And what a great day! As part of Freya's services, she picked up and dropped off our dog at our hotel. We had the guarantee our dog would have full attention since she takes one dog at a time, avoiding him being in touch with unknown/unruly/unvaccinated dogs. She also sent several pictures of him throughout the day, which I attached to this review (she is also a great photographer, as you can see!), and took him on a nice trail walk to put his high energy to good use. Our dog spent a whole day with Freya, and my wife and I finally could visit the aquarium completely worry-free, knowing our dog was in good hands with her constant updates. Her punctuality, the fact that she truly and genuinely loves pets, and how she maintained fantastic and responsive communication throughout the process are also worth mentioning. When we return to the Carmel and Monterrey areas, we now finally have someone we can trust and count on again.

We had a great experience with Freya of Happy Dog Carmel!! It was our wedding weekend and she not only took care of our yellow lab during the party and the rehearsal but she also helped us out with the ceremony so Nala could deliver the rings!!! Thanks Freya!!!

My husband and I came to Carmel for a little honeymoon trip. We brought our 4 year old Labradoodle Roscoe, but also planned some outings with just the two of us. Freya and Happy Dog Carmel were referred by our hotel and we couldn’t have been happier with her service! She was always prompt, provided transportation to and from the hotel, and even sent photos and an update of Roscoe’s playtime. We look forward to hiring her again when we return to Carmel.

We spent a month in Carmel and used Freya numerous times each week. Zipper loved his walks, play time and just hanging out with Freya. Happy Dog Carmel is a professional service, we valued the personal attention our dog received and we felt safe leaving our little man with Freya. She was always on time, sent pictures and kept us up to date on their activities. I would recommend Happy Dog Carmel service to friends and plan on using Freya again.

Freya was wonderful with Quincy!! She gave him lots of love and took him on nice long walks. And she kept in touch by text and sent photos. She was very professional and pleasant and we will happily use her services again!

Freya is an absolute gem. Not only a great human, but a total dog whisperer. Our senior dog Presley is 18 and it's hard to leave him, but I never have hesitation if I am leaving him with Freya. Your beloved pet will be in good hands!

My wife and I visited Carmel for a long weekend with our dog Simba. We wanted to have a spa day and also a night out for dinner at a nice restaurant. We were lucky enough to have Freya referenced to us and it was an amazing service! She picked him up both days at the hotel and drop him off as well, he was very excited the second time she came which doesn’t happen a lot with Simba, so we knew he had a good time. Would highly recommend and would use her service again if we visit Carmel.

We went to the US Open this week and had the delightful opportunity to take our two Cavalier’s (18 weeks old) to WaggsN’Naggs. The boys had so much fun.
