This was a marvellous house sit.

Carol and Tony's village is beautiful, as is their home - comfy, warm, clean, character-filled and peaceful. It truly is a dream location. I received a very warm welcome on arrival, clear and succinct notes and info. about my stay and Tony even took me for a brief drive to show me some of the best local walks.

They are currently caring for 2 gorgeous cats, Olive and Freddie who were very easy to look after - they spend lots of time outside.

Touca - their vizsla was an absolute pleasure. She is so, so gentle, very loving and a joy to walk. She's well trained, good with recall and was brilliant on the lead. In fact, whilst on the lead, she walked to heel at all times. To add to all of this she's absolutely beautiful - I adored her company.

I travelled a long way for such a short sit - and I am so glad that I did.

I would highly recommend this house-sit.

We had an amazing week looking after Peanut Butter & Jerry. Erin and Tim gave us an intro to their apartment and lots of local information on things in the area to see and do. Their apartment has everything you could need to cook and is walking distance to a mall, a couple grocery stores, beer gardens, and the larger city of Ulm. PB&J are awesome cats; they like to sleep in their box, cuddle, and can be entertained with the laser pointer for hours. This area is an amazing area to explore and the cats are a charm to look after!!

Wow, what a wonderful time we had. Sara is such a lovely girl. She certainly loves her walks, and as long as she has her ball, is happy to play for hours on the cliffs or the beach- which it just so happens are at the end of the road! Several times we walked with her into nearby Mudeford, as we were so lucky with the Easter sunshine.

Terry and Carole’s home is perfect, with a glorious garden which keeps the sun all day. We had a fantastic en-suite room to ourselves, and plenty of space for working and relaxing, while Sara laid happily at our feet, dreaming I’m sure about her next walk.

A fantastic dog, a beautiful home in a picturesque coastal location. What more could you ask for? We would certainly love to return one day.

Josh and Ashley were so kind, welcoming, and hospitable. They helped us get acclimated to their home, neighborhood, and the dogs. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and were always available for support when needed!

Overall, we had a very nice stay! However, Reuben does require a very experienced sitter. While we felt prepared for that, it was challenging at times. It takes him a couple of days to really get used to someone new. It’s really helpful if you have some experience with an energetic, herding breed! Without that, it can be demanding. Once he had a chance to warm up to us and we worked through initial challenges, we were good pals - he is such a loving boy! Maisie is also so sweet and easy to care for.

The house provided everything we could have needed, and the location was great! Such an easy walk to downtown and close to public transport.

Millie was such a little sweetie to sit with in Salo! She is such a happy, friendly, and well-behaved dog that I was able to take her with me almost everywhere I went. She seemed to enjoy going on long walks with me as I explored the area and walked well on a leash. You just have to watch out for cars as she doesn't see them as a threat. And ducks. She loves chasing ducks, and it was the only time I heard her bark. On walks, Millie wants to say a quick hi to every human and dog along the way, and most people and dogs wanted to say hi to her. Millie looked so sad when a person or dog walked right past her that I found myself telling her it would be OK and that I loved her. She loves to play and would pick a toy from her basket to run around the apartment. There is also a dog park nearby, but unfortunately, no dogs were there when we went. She also loves being in bed. There were a few mornings when I had to encourage her to get out of bed so we could go out for a walk. Usually, putting food in her bowl was enough incentive. She is a snuggler when you're sitting on the couch or in bed. She really was a delight to take care of.

The apartment is very clean, has everything you need, and is located on the lake. You can sit on the balcony and watch the most beautiful sunrises as it peaks over the mountains and lake. Everything you could want is within easy walking distance, and there is even a gelato shop on the bottom floor of the building. Walking along the lake during the day or night gives amazing views of mountains and other towns around the lake. Salo has a few hiking options that also provide beautiful views of the lake and area. I was lucky to go when there weren't many crowds and the weather was mostly gorgeous.

Jeff and Debbie were fantastic hosts and responsive to any questions I had before the sit and during the sit. They were also very understanding when I had an issue with the washing machine and walked me through how to resolve it. I met with them before the sit to get a walk through of the apartment, and they left written instructions for Millie's schedule and care. I really enjoyed everything about this sit and would recommend this sit to anyone who wants to take care of a total sweetheart in the beautiful town of Salo.

I had such a lovely long weekend in John’s cool-looking (with warm heating) designer apartment with his sweet cat Ivanka. She is great company once she relaxed (the 1st afternoon she was shy), and liked to nestle. She slept on the bed with me at night, though very quietly never disturbed me. Impressive. 😊He was very helpful with my few questions and has a great collection of cookery and other books I enjoyed. There was even off street parking for my car.

John’s place is on one of the main roads in Wimbledon yet it was not noisy, and in fact was very quiet at night… yet it’s right in the heart of this great area. I loved it! There were Asian restaurants right outside, cinema, and the lovely common.
I’d happily return any time he and Ivanka might need a residential sitter and really recommend sitting for them if you have the chance.
