Stephanie was a great host, easy-going, responsive and helpful. Matyi is an extremely welcoming and popular little dog and was a pleasure to spend time with. The apartment is large and very comfortable. We have returned once and will go back for a third time. We recommend this housesit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jono & Liney’s. Brontë & Gilbert were so affectionate & we all enjoyed the beautiful country walks from the door step. The alpacas were cute & very easy to care for. Cleo made an occasional appearance apart from dinner time. The house was very comfortable & it was super having our own area, although we spent a lot of time with the dogs in the main house & beautiful gardens. Would be happy to return if needed if we are in the UK.
We had a wonderful time with Oscar & Felix. They are such good boys with fabulous pug personalities. These entertaining pups are so easy to spend time with. Bradley and Jill are extremely welcoming, generous and easygoing. Was great to spend the night before with them and the pugs. They have a great welcome guide and were very easy to communicate with. Their home is beautiful and located on a lovely lake. There is so much to see and do in Traverse City, we hope to come back again to experience summer and fall seasons. We highly recommend a sit with Oscar and Felix if you have the chance. They will make your heart happy!
This was a wonderful THS experience. This historic thatched cottage with all modern conveniences was easy to care for and the three wonderful dogs were a delight to be with. The chickens were also fun. This lovely rural setting was a short walk to the quintessential English village of Whitchurch with charming coffee houses, pubs and grocery shops. Alison and Jim are an interesting and generous couple with whom we hope to keep in touch.
Liz and Edd have been nothing but fantastic! Their home is lovely and warm. Beautiful pets, their all adorable. Liz made sure there was plenty of food and drinks for us not to have to do any groceries, she left a great guide, and videos with instructions to make it very easy and clear to follow - would definitely sit for Liz and Edd again! The area is beautiful, worth a visit!
Fabienne lives in a nice and spacious house surrounded by a big garden with three cats and five chickens together with a few outdoor cats. The spot is perfect for a quiet and relaxed housesit as Nesle la Reposte is a remote and beautifuly located village. Many walks can be made right from the house through old woods, spacious fields and vineyards. Fabienne welcomed me with a lot of information about house, cats and chickens and a welcome guide which covered all of house, animals and surrounding. The cats have a very personal relation with Fabienne so in the first days they appreciate food but you will hardly meet them. But that changes in a few days for they miss their cuddles and strokes. They will be more and more around and ask for attention. There is a big living room, great kitchen in which you find everything for making bigger and smaller meals. The bedroom I choose was as big as an appartment. In short a perfect place to stay when you like a quiet housesit with many animals to care for. Visits to Nogent-sur-Seine (from were you can go to Paris with an one hour trainride), Provins and champagne village Bethon are with a car in easy reach. Even nearby Villenauxe la Grande where you find some shops, postoffice, bank and the supermarket is a lovely place to visit. If you like walking you can reach it within an hour. It was a pleasent housesit and I thank Fabienne for giving me the opportunity to housesit for her.
