This is a completely honest review. I heard that TH reviews are often "dressed up" on both sides. This is not, and I hope that it will be helpful. Debby and Mark were the greatest dog and house sitters I can imagine. For three weeks - and three weeks can be a very long time to sit for someone - they took care of our two (very strange) dogs and our home. They managed things when the water heater failed unexpectedly, requiring them to shower at the guest house and to do without hot water at the main house. Two plumbing emergencies, with the latter requiring a wait until our scheduled return. Not an inconvenience they signed up for.... They sent photos to us almost daily of our two puppy-mill rescues, and took the extra time and effort to coax the dogs into interacting with them. The older dog - 10 years - recently had abdominal surgery for having ingested a rock; they took her to the vet to have her sutures removed (as this couldn't happen until two days into our absence). Before our return, they washed these (sweet but squirrly) pups. Most of all, it's obvious that the dogs were treated lovingly, as per their easy adaptation to having us home. Debby and Mark did the laundry and dishes, and cleaned off their cabinet shelves and fridge shelves/drawers before our return. In fact, they cleaned everything so well that I can't tell they were here. Did they bring their own hand soap? Ours is still full. I prepped supplies and the house for them - but can't tell that anything was used. I am so incredibly grateful to Debby and Mark. I hope they get wonderful invitations to fabulous destinations. And I hope they'll stay in touch with us - as housesitters and as friends. Please feel free to contact me at any time for a verbal verification of this review.

This was a perfect sit as the hosts (Ian and Susan) plus adorable ALFIE. the dog, greeted us with genuine
 warmth and great hospitality.
We spent two nights with them before they departed for their safari in South Africa.
That left Alfie in charge and he looked after us wonderfully, taking us for lovely walks through the woods for the whole two weeks.
We would thoroughly recommend this couple plus their dog to anyone looking for a great sit..
If we are ever in a position to sit for them again, we would not hesitate to say yes.

Pepper was a pleasure to look after, extremely sweet dog with a major love for Cuddles and chasing balls, Chris was extremely hospitable and great with communication. Beautiful home and would happily housesit again, we had the best time!

Liz
Liz and Jerry are a lovely, warm, welcoming couple. They were very relaxed about leaving Bruce and Bettie, two beautiful springer spaniels, who were full of life and great fun, to look after. The house is also fantastic with lovely walks on the doorstep and great beaches to take the dogs to. Watching them running tirelessly into the distance but still coming to heel immediately meant the week was an absolute pleasure and we were sorry to leave them. Thanks for having us.

Nancy
It was a true delight to take care of Alex and Hitch in Nancy’s downtown Pittsburgh haven. Nancy was such a gracious host and connected with us ahead of our trip to chat about desires and expectations during our stay. We were also grateful to have met her in person upon her return! Nancy kept an open line of communication while away and was very responsive with our impromptu queries. She generously gave us a list of recommendations in Pittsburgh, which helped us spot the local gems.

Each of the cats have their own characters – Alex was much more amenable to social activities than younger Hitch, who preferred to hang out in his little laundry nook and graced us with cameos from time to time. The cats were independent in terms of feeding and toileting; their dry food dispenser and litter box are automated, which only needed monitoring.

Nancy’s modern home is located in an iconic building in downtown Pittsburgh, which makes you appreciate the history of the city. The grounds are expansive, with sophisticated décor, and amenities that parallel a luxury resort. Her home is a walker’s paradise: it is conveniently situated downtown, a stone’s throw away from Pittsburgh landmark Point State Park, the Strip, shops, restaurants, and of course the PNC park. Nancy’s home is very neat and organized; we appreciated how easy it was to maintain her home. We would highly recommend this sit, and thank Nancy for sharing with us a little piece of her Pittsburgh paradise.

Debby
I had a wonderful sitting at Debby's for Dennis who has a lovely character and a very loud purr! He is a rescue cat and can be a little nervous, but given space will interact and enjoy the attention. Debby was great with communication, generous, and friendly. She had several ideas for me to have the perfect stay in Bournemouth. Her apartment is gorgeous and only a short walk to the beach and local shops. A lovely sit.
