We spent some wonderful days at Ursula and Massimo's house. They are wonderful people, very kind and generous. The pups are very sweet and super well behaved. I will miss spending the evenings on the sofa with all of them around and petting their super soft fur! They’re really special! The house is a bit far from the city center (if you don't have a car) but you can enjoy the peace of the nature in the garden which is beautiful. Thank you Ursula and Massimo for the trust, hope to see you one day!! ♥️
I loved looking after Paddy, Ramone & Keiko. I didn’t get to meet Abby. The animals were all easy to care for and were really just happy to be in human company. The house has lots of space with a big garden for the dogs to run around in, lots of places to go walking and is set in a great location for exploring with easy access to the motorway and not far from the beach. Nicola was very friendly & responsive all the time during the sit with questions or any help I needed. I hope to see all these guys again, I’m already missing them. Cat :)
Monik and Walter are a kind, friendly and generous couple who welcomed us warmly into their lovely home. We enjoyed a nice dinner together on the evening before they left and it was interesting to hear about the pilgrims walking the Camino de Santiago and the customs of the beautiful Basque region. They communicated well and we felt very lucky to be given the opportunity to sit for them and love and care for their adorable two cats Maite and Wis and the fish in the two aquariums. Maite and Wis are very independent and had their daily routine which was very predictable. They slept in the morning and in the afternoon and evening were looking for some interaction with us which we enjoyed. Maite just loved having her brushing time or rubs in her special box and Wis is the chatty one, always telling stories of her outings in the garden. We enjoyed learning how to look after an aquarium and it was fun watching the different fish and how they behaved during feeding time. Monik and Walter's home has several patios to enjoy eating meals outside and is very modern and clean with all mod cons Their home is a short walk into the beautiful village of St Jean Pied de port and perfect for day trips to Biarritz, San Jean de luz, San Sebastian and Pamplona. A beautiful part of the world. We would like to thank you Monik and Walter, we will always have special memories of our time spent looking after your home and caring for your fur babies and fish.
Sabina and Dan left a very detailed welcome guide printed and a super clean home for me to stay in which was very appreciated. I didn’t end up going out too often as the weather was a bit rainy so I spent a lot of time with Iri and it was so adorable watching her follow me around. I couldn’t help but just want to check on her all the time. The neighbourhood also felt very safe and had a lot of shops nearby.
This was a last minute house sit after another was canceled, so it worked out well. Jeff was very kind and has a beautiful home, not to mention Bambi and Romeo, the sweetest dogs that are pretty independent despite Romeo being blind! He was so smart and knew where he was around the house. And both Bambi and Romeo love to cuddle! As it was a last minute sit, the timing of the start and the end of the sit were a little in flux, but being a short sit, this wasn’t an issue and I was able to adjust accordingly. The only thing I wish was that this was a longer sit, as it’s hard to leave after bonding with Romeo and Bambi so quickly!
We truly enjoyed our time at Samantha and Jon’s. Their condo is beautiful and very clean. We are a family with two young children which a lot of owners shy away from but they welcomed us with open arms which we are so grateful for. We loved playing in the pool which is in the middle of all the condos. There are lots of places to sit and relax and it’s all very clean and modern. There is even a common room with a lively view on the top floor which has a kitchen, huge tv and pool table. The kitchen is very well equipped and we had no issue finding everything we needed. Grocery stores and restaurants are all near by. It was easy for us to zip over to whole foods to get what we needed. Now onto the best part. Summer! She is just the sweetest dog you ever did meet. She is so well behaved, obedient, and easy to handle. She loves to cuddle and give kisses which we all loved! We were completely at ease in her presence. Our kids are not super hyper but they still make noise and bounce around and Summer was not bothered at all. My kids still talk about her and tell me how much they miss her. Samantha and Jon were very good at communicating with us and leaving clear instructions. They are very friendly and easy going and we felt so relaxed and at home with them. We would highly recommend this house sit.
