Elena was such a great sitter, she came and took over Cookie’s care from another sitter whilst I was out of the country for an extended period due to a family illness. She put me instantly at ease as soon as she arrived during what was a very stressful period. She communicated frequently with detailed Cookie updates, gave him plenty of love and exercise, and offered to help with stuff around the house including some long overdue gardening. I was so glad she was able to come and care for cookie, I will certainly be checking her availability next time I am away. Thanks Elena!
Chris and Patty made us welcome and comfortable in their lovely home. They ensured that everything we needed to look after their dogs was on hand ie a more than adequate store of frozen dog food, treats and bottled water, as well as frozen meals for us should we need. We enjoyed a fantastic meal and evening with them at the both the start and finish of the sit. Lola and Yolo adopted us almost immediately and were very easy to look after. The neighbours were great, we felt that we had support should anything difficult occur. Thank you Chris and Patty for a totally enjoyable stay, and thank you Lola and Yolo for putting up with us (:
Incredible hostess with a most lovable pet companion - Pato. It was a pleasure to walk the lanes and riverside pathways with Pato and to also learn so much about the countryside from Celine. Always a very busy woman with culinary talents her gift to would be entertainers, Celine was kind and considerate at all times. As a newcomer to Italy, she was very knowledgeable and saved me a lot of headaches with the information she shared. Hope to housesit again sometime when life gets too busy.
A great housesit with wonderful dogs. Pippa welcomed us warmly to her home with a lovely meal and she explained everything about the house. All instructions regarding Bonnie and Jasper, their routine/food were discussed and a very comprehensive/useful guide available. Bonnie and Jasper were full of character, very gentle and very affectionate. They loved their walks, especially at the beach and were always well behaved. Pippa’s home was ideally located, close to a small town and close to all amenities. Our evenings were spent with Bonnie and Jasper relaxing and enjoying the peaceful environment. We appreciated the trust Pippa placed in us to care for her home, Bonnie and Jasper. A highly recommended sit!
I absolutely loved pet and house sitting for Erica! We got to meet virtually ahead of the sit as well as the night before she left. Her apartment is in an excellent area of DC. It's so close to great restaurants and public transport options to get around. Her place was clean and had everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Cece, Darcy and Nova are wonderful cats to spend time with. Darcy would follow me around to chat, Nova was a couch snuggler, and Cece minded her own business, but enjoyed being brushed a couple of times. They were all so fun and easy to care for. Erica left excellent instructions and was so easy to communicate with if I had any questions. I'd definitely recommend this housesit and would love to visit again!
Karen and Wayne were both so welcoming right from the start. They gave ideas for places to visit and we spent time the night before they left getting to know each other. There home is in an idyllic location, not too far from the town, we also took a train to Manchester, easy! We also had a few days that the weather was good enough to enjoy the pool. And there dome beautiful walks really close by. Finally, Barney and Benji...they are such sweethearts with very different characters. Both so lovable. They'll let you know when they need food or attention but they're not demanding. We did also catch a fleeting glimpse of the hedgehog. It was a pleasure looking after Karen's home and Barney and Benji.
An absolutely 5-star experience looking after Lexi. Lucina has a great 'can-do' attitude and we were made to feel very welcome and at ease in their lovely home. There are plenty of dog (and human!) exercise opportunities nearby and Lexi was happy to walk out with us. She was well behaved in public and good company around the house too. Thanks Lucy and Lexi!
