Jamie and I enjoyed our stay in Judy’s home with Esk, we only wish it could have been longer. We found her home to be very cozy, clean, and comfortable, fully equipped with everything we could want or need. Judy greeted us with a warm welcome, lovely dinner, tour of her home, and general overview of the house and pet-sit. We very much appreciated the detailed binder we received, which outlined specific instructions for caring for Esk and both finding and using things in the house, nearby walks, local recommendations, and more; we referred to this information as needed throughout our stay. Esk is a very sweet dog. She has quite a bit of energy (until she's worn out from outdoor walking, running, and playing fetch the ball); she loves a good snuggle and being pet, and we were more than happy to indulge her. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and miss Esk already!
Danny and I have just returned from the Highlands of Scotland after house-sitting for Boots and his pet parent Jo. It was a real pleasure to look after Boots who has a lovely nature. He is adorable and very affectionate and took to us immediately. He followed us around the house and sat on our laps at every opportunity, purring loudly. He was very easy to look after, was a good eater and could let himself in and out of the house using his cat flap. Boot’s home is a warm and comfortable three-bed converted old crofting house and has a location to die for. About two and a half miles along Kinerras Road, up the hill from the village of Kiltarlity, the house is in a quiet setting with forestry to the rear of the back garden and a mountain view as a back-drop. The garden is laid to lawn with mature shrubs and has a separate area for fruit trees and the growing of vegetables. A summer house and a decking area completes the picture. A car is essential for this sit as the nearest village, Beauly, is approximately 6 miles away. The house itself was easily found using Jo’s directions and Jo was on-hand to meet us and show us around her home. We visited a supermarket before we arrived to stock up with our immediate grocery essentials and also brought our own air fryer as Jo does not use one and does not have a microwave. Having applied for our sit we had a good video chat with Jo and learned all about her home and we were introduced to Boots. Communications between us was simple throughout the sit, via WhatsApp, and we kept Jo updated daily with short messages and photos. We really enjoyed looking after Boots and will really miss him. We are very happy to recommend this sit to those that would like to look after a wonderful, friendly cat and stay in a quiet and peaceful Highland home next to nature with stunning views and the opportunity to visit local attractions with many castles, Lochs and forests but a short drive away.
We had lovely stay with the three Estrellas in a wonderful house and surrounding. Birgit and Olivier are warm and nice people to know. We had a lovely time that will stay in our memory!
