We enjoyed our time at the well-named Jollity Farm very much! The main highlights were Linda, the animals, and the countryside. Linda is a consummate host who has designed very appropriate systems for managing her large number of animals with ease and speed. We were amazed at how little time was required to take care of the daily needs of such a large and varied bunch of critters - about an hour/day. This efficiency provides even more time to hang out with them, and they are overall a relaxed and friendly pack. It was a joy to feed the livestock windfall apples and walnuts and hunt for the chickens' hidden eggs. The dogs and kitties were great company around the fire in evenings (as was Linda, of course.) Because the farm is a functioning bed & breakfast, they are well-equipped to host visitors and we loved the guest bedroom's light and design - a beautiful place to wake up in the morning! There's also a personal bathroom as bonus. Linda was a great help showing us around and suggesting local sights to see. Taking the bikes to the village and beyond to wetlands walk was a fine day out and we had some stunning walks on the lanes. We certainly recommend this homestead for a great experience!
All three pets, Frida, Lana and Maui were amazing. They had no doubt were the loveliest. Frida is a very well behaved dog, we were walking where she usually took her walks and she calmly walked by and played. She’s also very nice towards other dogs. Maui had a very unique personality, she is a bit shy and thus quite low maintenance but we were happy to see that she trusted us enough to initiate affectionate moments couple of times. Lana is an amazing case of an orange cat, she’s very playful in general and cannot be bothered to calm down at night :D So you need to play with her before night to make sure she is tired. Another way me and my partner found (and the best one) was to cuddle her every night and she was often happy there :) They also play with eacher and it’s very nice to see :’) Communication with Ana was also quite nice, both pre and postsit. She has a nice place in a nice location and a very nice furry family that you can tell she is very fond of.
What a delightful time I had looking after Kiki and Twiglet! These two pups are absolute sweethearts. Staying at Deb's house was an absolute treat in itself. The property is charming, and the atmosphere was so relaxing. I'd definitely recommend it to any future sitters looking for a cozy retreat with adorable company.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Simonette's gorgeous home nestled in the rainforest near Cairns, looking after her house and the pets. Elle, the greyhound, showed me round the neighbourhood and was really easygoing and a joy to care for. As for the two cats, Gru loves a cuddle and was extremely talkative, while Boots just liked to check out what I was up to from afar! Simonette explained everything when we met and was very responsive to any query I had. I would love to come and stay again - Thank you for a delightful relaxing stay.
Flint is a sweet doggo that loves to snuggle and play, but needs support when out on walks to help him feel safe. Erin and Cameron explained his needs really well, and they were great with communication and planning leading up to the sit. The home is well located and comfortable.
We had a wonderful time pet sitting for Sherry and Scott. They were very welcoming, kind, and accommodating as pet and home owners. When plans had to be adjusted, they were understanding and easy to work with. Charlie is a very well trained dog. She is very calm, loves to play, and go for walks. She is very easy to take care of, and has the biggest heart (loves interacting with other dogs and people while on walks). The home and neighborhood is wonderful. Situated in a nice quiet neighborhood with plenty of grocery stores, coffee shops, and restaurants. The beach is about 10 min away. Charlie and I often sat outside enjoying the peace and quiet (and sun) while I worked remote. All in all, a great stay and we would do it again when given the chance! Thank you Sherry and Scott!
