Everything about this sit was lovely! I had an incredible house-sitting experience in West Seattle, taking care of the lovable Wallace for Cynthia. I can’t praise Cynthia enough for being a fantastic host—she was not only wonderful but also maintained excellent communication throughout. Her open and conscientious approach made my long stay incredibly comfortable. Wallace, despite his age, is a bundle of joy with a goofy and kind personality. Spending time with him was an absolute delight. The house itself was fantastic, offering beautiful views and a well-stocked kitchen. The friendly neighborhood added to the charm, providing picturesque settings for our relaxing walks. Grateful for such a rewarding experience! 5 stars all the way.
Due to the short notice of this particular sit, we didn't actually get to meet Vanessa in person but her messages and our phone conversations ensured we had everything we needed - and most importantly that the cats did too. We stayed in Vanessa's wonderful farmhouse during a very hot week so took a leaf out of the cats' book and just relaxed in the garden soaking up the beautiful views across the fields to the majestic Pyrenees. Poppie and Kisby are wonderful cats. We found Kisby asleep on one of the beds when we arrived and that was where he spent most of his time - away from the heat of the day. But he definitely remembered to come down at mealtimes and then take himself off for an evening prowl through the fields. Poppie is a little more independent and we often wouldn't see her after breakfast until late evening. But by the third day she'd got used to us and even climbed up on my lap for a cuddle. This is a very relaxing and tranquil location with two very easy to look after cats. We'd certainly come back again if needed.
Unfortunately, my sit was cut short due to Covid 19 outbreak. I would willingly have stayed for the duration and longer, but understandably, Maura and her husband had to return home early First of all, Millie is a very sweet and loving dog. She was very wary at first, but all it took was a walk and a spin in my car to win her over. We were the best of pals and walked the high roads and by roads together. The house is situated in the beautiful Mayo countryside and has stunning mountain views to calm the mind and spirit. It’s an ideal location to relax and unwind. Maura’s house is extremely comfortable, very well organised with an enviable kitchen and living space. I was made feel very welcome and enjoyed a lovely lunch with Maura on arrival. I was given very clear information with notes on the care of Millie and the running of the house. Members of the family live close by and were on hand if required, but not intrusive. Maura left a fully stocked fridge and freezer and I was told to help myself to whatever I needed. Don’t hesitate to jump at the opportunity should Maura need a sitter in the future.
Pet Freddy is kind, energetic, sweet, affectionate, and completely friendly. When we arrived, and Sheila and Jan had already left the house, he greeted us joyfully, and we immediately went for a walk. Freddie loves walks. He was great on walks, but you have to be prepared for his lightning-quick reactions to squirrels;) When other dogs approached, he stayed close to us. When he ran through the forest, he always kept an eye on our presence nearby. Host Sheila and Jan organized everything perfectly. They previously agreed to meet with us to get to know each other and show us everything. The detailed instructions left for us allowed us to not worry about anything and calmly enjoy Freddie's wonderful company and beautiful views of the ocean. Location and house It was an unforgettable New Year's Eve! The house itself is spacious, comfortable, and has stunning views. The kitchen has everything. Everything is very carefully thought out and very conveniently located, both for storing and preparing food. Thank you so much to Sheila and Jan for choosing us! Thanks, Freddie for happy days! We haven't laughed so much in a long time!

We really enjoyed this house sit and would happily recommend it for anyone looking to spend time in the Bywater in New Orleans. Angela was a great host - flexible and easy to communicate with. Her experience as an Airbnb host really comes through in making house sitters feel welcome and at home. Angela's house is a New Orleans dream - high ceilings, built in bookcases, a beautiful back garden, and lovely front and back porches where we very much enjoyed spending time. The neighborhood is fantastic too with excellent restaurants and access to Crescent Park. This was a unique sit, in that Angela located the owner of the rescue cat she was fostering just a few days before we arrived. We're grateful to her for still having us as house sitters even without a pet to watch. We will treasure our week in New Orleans for a long time.

Paws & Pals is amazing! I had a last minute inquiry about watching my puppy for the following day. They were so prompt with their response and were able to accommodate him. Asher was happy the second he stepped into their home and I could tell he was in good hands. Usually he cries quite loud when I leave. He was completely fine. When I picked him up he was happy to see me but also didn’t want to leave, He tried to steal their slippers on the way out (sorry). 😂 I was very impressed with their care of Asher and thank them tremendously for fitting him in on such short notice. We have had Jenna and Casey- owners of Paws and Pals, take care of and walk our dog Hazel while out of town. They have done an outstanding job with the 12 days that we needed their services. They provided pictures and comments on how the day went. We felt very comfortable leaving our dog with them.We have come home twice now to a very happy dog and would recommend their business to anyone looking for dog walking or boarding!

Jenna and Casey did multiple drop in visits on our two pups while we were out of town. They were both very friendly and professional and very punctual as well as amazing communication and pictures the whole time we were gone. You could tell our pups were very well taken care of and given lots of attention and love! Would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again!
My sweet girl Jett loves going to Critter Nanny. I take her 5 days a week while I am at work. She is loved and gets good play time with other dogs.
If we mention the name of one of our puppy's friends at Critter Nanny, Jazzy will run to the door and want to go. She loves the place! It has been an awesome place for her to learn socialization skills. We call it puppy Disneyland. Nancy and Jim have a wealth of information when it comes to dogs. We trust them with our puppy and the choices they make regarding Jazz, like how they choose to mix our pup with other puppies/dogs. We highly recommend Critter Nanny for daycare or boarding!

Jim and Nancy have been a life savor for taking care of our doodle! For many years, our dogs have stayed with Critter Nanny while we are out of town. Jim and Nancy do a great job and are very conscientious about all the details. Our pets are always well cared for and have a chance to play with compatible dogs, so it is fun for them. Our boxer, who has passed away, used to get excited when the suitcases came out because she knew she was going Critter Nanny and would get to play with new dogs.
Our family has called on Jim & Nancy many times a year for six years for care of two dogs and one kitty. We used Critter Nanny for many years and found them outstanding in every way. Our little dog, Daisy, spent many vacations there. As soon as we started up the driveway, Daisy would go 'nuts' wagging her tail and making a fool of herself. I have recently recommended a friend without any reservations of trusting Jim and Nancy. We ❤️ Critter Nanny! We ran into a situation where we couldn’t take our pups with us on vacation and forced with the decision to board them. From Facebook reviews, we decided to give Critter Nanny a chance and are extremely happy with our decision. I had this anxious feeling during our entire stay, never had boarded our dogs before and was SO excited to pick them up and expected them to share in this excitement, apparently I was the only one because they loved their stay SO much they didn’t want to come back to boring old home. They are currently passed out, so exhausted from their week of fun that they could care less that they are back with their actual family, probably dreaming of all the play they had, wishing they were back at Critter Nanny’s! This family owned business has my support, if ever we are in need again... We may just find that the next time we need a vacation we will be thinking of our next no doggies allowed destination just so they can their vacation too!
Jim and Nancy are the most compassionate, empathetic people I have ever met. Trusting them with our beloved pets is a no brainer! My fur child is so incredibly happy the second we pull into the parking lot!!! The staff are welcoming, warm and engaging. I was just using this service as a fill in activity for travel but my little buddy can not live without the Scooby crew on a regular schedule. Can not say enough about how fabulous this has been! Nyxie loves her plays and stays at Scooby Shack. She's made some good buddies (dogs and humans!), and she "sings" all the way to the Scooby Shack once she knows we're headed that way. The staff takes such good care of our girl. When she stays there, the staff is happy to give updates and pictures. (We know Nyxie is having a ball so this is really to make her parents feel better.) Thank you Scooby Shack for taking such great care of our girl!
Extremely disappointed with this place. We used to bring our dog here exclusively for grooming and daycare but never again. We brought our dog in to get groomed after several years of grooming here and only when I went to pay was I told that the prices increased, over $100 MORE! We'd always brought our dog in the morning to play with the other dogs and then his grooming appointment would be in the afternoon. We've done this for years and not once have they charged us for day care when bringing him in the morning If we also got him groomed. It was only when I came to pick him up that they told me they increased their prices for grooming and charged me for the morning. I understand raising prices as needed but this was a very dishonest way to go about that. They should have let their customers know before they leave their dogs there that they increased their prices by so much instead of waiting until after the service is over. Not to mention the groomer did not even trim some areas we'd requested like around his booty so now I have to do it myself. We will never be coming back and will be telling our friends and family who also go there about this experience.
I'm so excited, Scooby Shack has a new groomer (Hannah), and she is fantastic. I have a Yorkshire Terrier and a Bernese Mountain Dog and I've been through more than my fair share of not so good grooming experiences. Leah really listened to me and did exactly what I asked her to. My dogs look great, and you can tell she really enjoys grooming dogs. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her!
I’ve posted before and after pictures of our mini Aussiepoo. As you can see, he had a full head of cute, curly hair that the groomer at Scooby Shack has managed to shave off haphazardly twice. When we picked him up this time, we were in tears; she’d cut his whiskers off, shaved his entire body and only left his ears and tail alone. She said it was because we didn’t brush him enough, but we brushed him every day. I am so disappointed and upset by this groomer. How can you work with animals and do this to them? Do not take your dog to this woman, she clearly doesn’t care about the work she is doing or how her customers feel.
I have taken my dogs to Scooby Shack since 2011. Trulli loves going to Scooby Shack so she can play with her doggie friends and with Todd. I am very happy with the care Trulli receives and have no reservations taking her for daycare and boarding Trulli at Scooby Shack.
Very impressed with this daycare and boarding facility . Very clean and communication is topnotch. They Have staff with the pups at all times -24 hrs. Experienced staff watching and they understand animal behavior. As I’m Watching pups come and go-The pups are so happy waggin their tails , hopping on their feet -such a sight to see. That tells me they had a good time. What great way to socialize a pup in a pack environment. 🤩 They even have a cat condo. Super Clean and have wall climbing area for them. I got to see a cat scratching on a post didn’t even seem scared. Relaxed and strutting his stuff across the room. 🤩

My dog has been visiting Maggie on and off for many years. Maggie is always quick to respond when I check her availability and provides wonderful care for my dog. The environment is like home, there are cozy places for the dogs to be inside, a safe backyard with shade and sun for play, and lots of attention. It's a home away from home for my dog when I travel.

I’ve boarded my pup (Clementine) with Maggie several times now, always for fairly long stretches. I used to be so nervous about leaving her for longer than a few days, but I have absolutely no anxiety about her while she’s in Maggie’s care. When I had a family emergency arise requiring an extension of Clem’s boarding dates, Maggie’s incredible understanding and flexibility alleviated so much stress for me and my family. And even when there hasn’t been an emergency, it’s so nice to be able to leave for vacation and only have to think about your dog when you miss her rather than worrying constantly. Maggie’s home is SO beautiful, as well as very clean and inviting to pets. I would actually kill for her backyard, which has so much space for dogs to run and play. Clem always has the time of her life and I feel good knowing the attention of the person watching her isn’t diverted by a million other dogs; the few she takes on at a time are enough for stimulation without being overwhelming. The near daily photo/video updates are so nice and my family always gets a laugh out of them, too. I love and trust this place so much that I’ve now recommended Maggie/Unleashed to every Portland area dog owner I know. Absolutely worth every penny every single time, I hope I never have to take my dog anywhere else. I honestly cannot day enough good things.
We boarded our dog for 9 days and were very happy with the TLC she got here. Photos and video was posted daily on Facebook so we could see how she was doing. The owner's home is dog-friendly but also immaculately clean. There's a huge fenced backyard for frolicking as well as an indoor play area for rainy days. We wouldn't hesitate to leave our big girl here again.
This is such a lovely idea, hosting a few dogs in your home. Our experience with this business was less than ideal, though. The owner asked us to bring our dog (a 12 year old male miniature schnauzer) over to meet her dogs, because she needs to know our dog will get along with her dogs. So far, so good. Our dog, while far from perfect, loves other dogs. He loves other dogs so much that at TWO of his past doggie daycares, they used him as the test dog to see if other dogs would fit in. He has gone all the way up through advanced obedience classes, has learned circus tricks, and has competed in agility. He even used to work as a therapy dog, visiting long term care homes. He has never been aggressive towards anyone, much less another dog. He is more likely to play himself to death with them. After he met the owner’s dogs (which my husband thought had gone just fine), she let me know she was uncertain if he and her older male lab got along. She wanted our dog to stay for a night at her house while we were still in town to find out if they were compatible. This seemed like a lot of effort, but, okay, I can understand being cautious. We took him to her place (at the cost of $50) and left him there for a night. The next day, my husband picked him up and she did not say a word to him about what had gone on. We assumed that meant we were good to go. We had already made reservations with her for our upcoming vacation, WELL in advance of the time we would be out of town. With less than a week before we were due to leave town, the owner contacted me to let me know that she had another male dog staying with her and she would need us to bring our dog back to her house again to see if our dog got along with this other dog. Seriously? What was she going to do if they did not get along? It seemed glaringly unprofessional to tell someone with less than a week notice that you are not sure if our dog (a much beloved family member) would be acceptable to stay with her when the rest of the family is about to leave on vacation. Talk about stress inducing. The owner’s continued suspicion that our dog will be aggressive towards other dogs was unfounded and, frankly, offensive. We have found other, better options for boarding our little guy. I guess if you have a female dog or a young pup, this might be a good choice for you. The yard she has for dogs to run in is wonderful, and they have lovely little beds to sleep in all around the house. If you have a male dog, especially an older male dog, be forewarned you might want to look elsewhere.
Maggie loves dogs more than anyone I know. She will always take wonderful care of yours.

I LOVE this place! The little welcoming area doesn't even begin to allow you to understand just how great it is. I took my 1year old Frenchie who has never been in this type of environment. For $5 i get an update each day to see how she was playing, anything information important to know and the report card is just such an incredible offer. The humans who work there are so attentive and supportive to the pups. They are very kind when you engage with them in any form. The prices are beyond reasonable. The place is so much bigger for the dogs and has so many little offerings you can purchase. The boarding is free roam no crates. My girl comes home so pooped out and happy that she has a place to play and board if I go out of town. I have zero complaints and highly recommend!!
We've been taking our 9 month old puppy here for a few months now and we love it (and so does he!). The staff is super friendly and very clearly care a LOT about the dogs that go to them. I love love love the daily Instagram posts, I get more excited to see what he's doing at daycare than I think I ever was about my human kids at daycare (kidding. Or am I?). Webster gets SO excited when we get there, and I can tell that he loves it and loves the humans there. Also their hours are so convenient, and love that they offer kennel-free boarding.
Wooftastic is one of the best things to happen to us since moving here. Our girl has a lot of energy and this place has made a home for her there when she needs time to run around and be a crazy little lady. We always feel that she is so well taken care of, we love their no crate boarding, which is what she was used to. Everyone is kind and attentive and we would recommend this place to anyone who has a doggy that needs daycare or boarding.
Fern loves going to daycare. The way they run scheduling, pick up and drop off, and payment makes everything super smooth. Staff is very friendly and always makes sure to ask if he has food with him and reminds me to grab his container at the end of the day. Also love the convenient hours 6am-9pm, 7 days a week as well as a good price point. They post all of the dogs everyday so you can check in on your pup they also offer extras like treats and walks and do fun activities like bubbles, aromatherapy, nose balm. Overall great place definitely would recommend.
We've been lucky enough to send our precious dog Georgia to Wooftastic for the past 8 months. They've always been so nice and welcoming when we pick and drop her off. They have great hours and rates. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're in search of a good doggy daycare.
I am so happy and grateful to have found Woof-Tastic for my pup, Maya! I have been SO impressed with the kindness of the staff, their communication, and care. The environment is bright and fun and just matches what you read and see online. And I can tell Maya, although still a little timid and shy, is warming up, feeling safe, and having a great time! My girl got so excited to go on her 2nd day that she couldn’t wait to say goodbye and go see her friends. The rates are more than fair, which is a big plus. 10/10.
We absolutely LOVE Wooftastic Playhouse! Our dog has so much fun there. He is safe and well loved. They post pictures of all the dogs to their Instagram each day, which I love! There's no other place that I've felt as confident boarding my pup. I highly recommend them!!!

I can’t say enough good things about Petlandia!! Wendy and Nate are so patient with my nervous pup, Roo. They are amazing about checking in; both throughout the day while he’s at daycare and weekly just to bring up occasional behavioral/health concerns. They both obviously care so much about each individual pup, and tailor their care for each dog’s needs! The Petlandia set up is so fun, and highly enriching for an adventurous pup. We only use their daycare services, but they also offer boarding/daily walks which I’m sure we will look into for future needs too! Grace and Roo 🩵 Petlandia!
We were so nervous about leaving our puppy, other dog, and two bunnies for a week over the thanksgiving holiday. We had Bailey come house/pet sit for us, and could not have been happier! Not once did we feel uneasy about our babies being well taken care of. Bailey was extremely communicative, sent us updates and pics daily, and made us feel completely at ease about not being there. I have used Wendy’s services for both daycare and overnight care and I cannot say enough great things about her! I have a bit of an anxious pup who doesn’t really like playing with other dogs and has separation anxiety. Wendy has done so much to go out of her way to make my dog feel comfortable and cared for. It's not easy to leave your dog when you know she is anxious but Wendy makes it so much easier with frequent texts and photos and by being so gentle and accommodating!

I highly recommend without any hesitation." That was my review from over a year ago, one dog ago. Now we have Oakley, a much younger and more energetic head strong girl who is so very well cared for by Wendy and Bailey. They have so much patience and insight into dog behavior. They use positive skills to coach our little one even when she doesn't want to be coached. Consummate professionals, they leave the dog and home in excellent condition with clear communication and frequent photos to let us know how our sweet one is doing when we can't be home with her.
Petlandia Pet Care is legit just the best. I’ve been working with them for 8-ish years and they’ve consistently been professional, communicative, and helpful. Additionally, words truly limit me in expressing my appreciation for their flexibility now, and especially during the pandemic, as my work schedule was unpredictable and changed constantly. When I adopted my Abbey girl, she was super beat up and had clearly experienced some trauma. Now my sweet girl is an arthritic senior pup, who continues to enjoy her unconditional love and pets and walks and treats with the folks from Petlandia. Thank you for all that you’ve done and continue to do for our pibbs!
We love Wendy and Petlandia Pet Care! I am so happy we found Wendy to take care of our pups when we are out of town. Wendy clearly loves dogs and she always takes such good care of our two pups. She is very responsive to messages and is flexible with scheduling. She sends us pictures and keeps us updated on how our pups are doing when they stay with her. Our dog was anxious the first time we dropped her off, and Wendy spent extra time with her and helped her feel comfortable. Our dogs love to stay with Wendy and we have peace of mind when we travel that our pups are being well cared for.
Petlandia is awesome! Wendy is awesome! I did daycare at Petlandia with 2 Shetland Sheepdogs and a Shih tzu. One of my shelties was very shy and scared of new things and people. Wendy worked with Tori and formed a bond with her very quickly. My Shih tzu loved the whole area to explore and play with other pups! She always had the best time. Hunter my older sheltie found his comfy spot and napped. My pups had a week stay with Wendy at Petlandia. I trust and love Wendy like no other dog care person!
Petlandia is wonderful! I have a pit bull/ heeler mix who often has issues with new people. Wendy took the time to get to know her and she is now officially on my dog's best friend list. I feel so much better leaving for work each day knowing that Wendy will be there to work with my dog. She is professional and a true animal lover. I highly recommend her and Petlandia.
