I had a lovely stay in Carlsbad with Baylee. Bryce welcomed me and explained everything I needed to know, even leaving written instructions. He was great at communicating and checking in throughout my stay. The apartment was nicely cleaned, decorated, and conveniently located, less than 10 minutes from the beach. The town is adorable! Baylee was a bit shy on the first night, but her sweet, playful personality quickly emerged. Soon enough she was curling up next to me in bed and not leaving my side. Baylee is super easygoing, loves walks, sunbathing, and really just enjoys company. I had a wonderful time with her and recommend this pet sit!
Lyn's House is beautiful and was warm for our winter sit. It is approximately 10 minutes drive to the nearest town Newton Abbot and the nearest beach at Teignmouth around 15 minutes, yet the house is located in a very quiet area with only a few neighbours. The cats are very easy going, happy doing their own thing or sitting on your lap when reading. The front garden has a very wide variety of birds that visit the bird table and the feeder on the kitchen window as well as a few cheeky squirrels. The sheep are very easy to look after, with the recent addition of a few lambs. The area is not served well by public transport, so you will need a car. There is plenty of parking. Lynn is very hospitable and will make you very welcome. This is a fantastic house sit, especially if you are new to sitting, as the animals are easy to keep and you have good access to all the key resorts in South Devon.
This was an amazing house sit in every respect. Rita and Steve have a lovely comfortable home which is spacious and full of character, with a huge garden and great views over Wells. Samson and Delilah are easy to care for - very friendly and inquisitive. It is an easy walk into Wells - a beautiful cathedral city with plenty of places to eat out and many one-off shops. We went on many walks right from the door and there is plenty of cycling around the Somerset Levels. Steve kindly left us some very helpful maps. You also have Glastonbury, Taunton, and the Clarks shopping village at Street within easy reach. We can't wait to come back again in the future.
I had a wonderful time caring for Chance while Alex & Alex were away. I made a brief visit the day before the housesit started to get a walkthrough of the home and learn/practice some strategies for keeping Chance calm in the face of tempting wildlife or territorial neighbor dogs. It was clear she had some anxiety but she was well trained and responded very well to all the tips I was given and we were able to enjoy all of our walks together. Overall, Chance was a lovely companion! The home itself was a beautiful place to work from and relax in while watching the sunset over the Oakland skyline each night.
Lisa was a very warm and welcoming host. Her home is very clean, organized, and well stocked for whatever you will need. Izzy was an absolute sweetheart! She is well-behaved and a wonderful companion. I would love to sit here again when we’re in the area!
