Had a beautiful weekend hanging with this sweet crew! Had the pleasure of meeting Lisa and Seth before they left and they were so kind and welcoming. Instructions were laid out well and communication was easy breezy 😎 Each animal is sweet and unique, it was fun to interact with them all! Roux and Luna are the dream duo! So cute, chill and well behaved. Jude was mostly sleepy, except when he was hungry. He will let you know with his loud meow lol he has a funny way about him that I really enjoyed 😂 Molly was pretty independent, but came up to me for some pets from time to time. She makes some cute sounds!! Their home was magic and every little piece of art was enjoyed. It gave me creative good vibes, definitely stay if you’re an artist or lover of art. Close to nature, state park is down street and their outdoor space is very nice to hang out in and relax! Thanks for having me, would love to stay some other time ❤️
Lisa and John-Scott's house is in the south end of Ashland, in a very quiet area not far from the Oak Knoll golf course and Emigrant Lake. They left their house in pristine condition; in fact, I felt like entering a bed and breakfast place, with the towels neatly rolled and even a chocolate on the bedroom's night table. The diner area has big windows facing the gardens; there are two small ponds and a water fountain that attracts endless birds, especially robins, blue jays and hummingbirds. It is quite a spectacle to see the birds bathing right in front of you. The yard has many bushes and trees, and benches to sit and read a book or just meditate in silence. Unfortunately, the weather was extremely cold during my stay, so I didn’t venture out much. There’s a jacuzzi on the side of the house; I didn’t get to use it, but it looks pretty new on the outside. They have three gorgeous cats: Chowfun comes in and out, and she’s a talker, so you can have long and interesting conversations with her. It took her a good three or four days to finally trust me and allow me to pet her. Even though it was so cold outside, she was ready to go out on her daily explorations at around 6 am (still dark here in winter). She would return midmorning for her wet-food brunch, and at sunset for dinner and sleep inside. Mama and China have their little dwellings at the side of the house, and come into the front room to eat breakfast and dinner. They are all very easy to take care of. Communication with Lisa and JC was timely and clear; they are super warm people, very welcoming, and have a peaceful demeanor. I had a great stay at their house with the three furry creatures and the birds.
