Terris calmness, her experience and the great reviews convinced me during our video call right away and I was very happy when she decided to house sit for me. It was at short notice however she managed to arrive a day early, for which I’m really thankful for. We had enough time to get to know each other and to tell her about my furry babies and the area I live in. My dog can be a bit reserved with strangers, but Terri did a good job in bonding with her. Even my shy cat soon warmed up and enjoyed her strokes. Both of them loved Terris care and attention. Our communication worked great throughout the sit, I was able to enjoy my trip without any worries. Terri is such a nice person and I appreciate her trustworthiness. As agreed, I found the house in very good condition. All in all it was a very pleasant experience and I would be happy if Terri came back for another housesit. Highly recommended!
I had a great time looking after Lamp, a friendly and independent cat who's easy to care for. Alex’s home is centrally located in a lovely neighbourhood. Communication with Alex was smooth and quick—he’s a relaxed and helpful host. I’d definitely recommend this cat sit.
Heathers flat was clean and cosy. Her Cat Chai was very sweet and shy. She was definitely missing her mom. The area is lovely and I'd happily come back and cat sit again.
Sarah and Dave have a lovely home and did a great job communicating throughout the sit, even from a different time zone. A quick hop to Portland, with a house backing onto trails, Sarah and Dave's is a great location for urban and not so urban adventures. Alice is an amazing trail companion and is up for all the miles you can spare. I'm more than slightly heartbroken to have left her behind. Nuz is a serious love and guard of his yard. He's got a stubborn streak, will guard food, and climb into your lap should there be a storm brewing, so good to know and be comfortable with this in his XL format.
Keegan warmly welcomed me into her home. Rue, her dog, was exceptionally well-behaved, and he thoroughly enjoyed playing, fetching balls, and going for walks. My experience was truly delightful, and I felt completely comfortable throughout my stay. I wholeheartedly recommend this housesitting opportunity.
We loved getting to know our first cavachons; River and Cactus Flower. What a couple of cuties! We enjoyed escorting them to their meet up with friends at the dog park, twice daily in the golf cart. Purrsalot is a sweet, fluffy kitty and easy to care for. After a few days, she even joined me on my lap. Kelly and Tom's home is well equipped with a wonderful main open space, gourmet kitchen, and a full wall of windows, looking over the golf course and clubhouse. We fit in some trips to Tucson, but there are some closer shopping and dining choices in Catalina. I found some delicious Greek food near the busy Golden Goose thrift store. We saw more wildlife than we expected, so always be aware of surroundings with little doggies; large javalina, coyote, bobcat. Kelly was great to communicate with. We kept in touch months leading up to the sit, making sure that we are all still counting on the dates to be confirmed. Texting Kelly with any questions is the easy way to answer any questions that arise. You'll feel lucky to be staying in SaddleBrooke, once your settled in. We're glad to have met Kelly and Tom and would return, if the timing is right.
We had such an incredible time with Kevin and Samantha!!! Their pet parents Gabby and Caleb welcomed us into their beautiful new home and we were instantly at ease and comfortable. They gave us a quick but thorough orientation of the house and care of the dogs (with a printed manual) and made it a priority to ensure all of our questions were answered and that we had everything we needed for a two week stay with their sweet fur babies! We were left with no questions but knew they were just a phone call or text away during their trip. Samantha and Kevin were so fun and easy to care for, both are such beautiful dog souls. Samantha is blind and going deaf but she has such a diva spirit!! :) Kevin is still a puppy in a big, handsome, Golden Retriever body, but you can’t not fall in love with him!! Both were so well behaved and smart, you could tell they were dogs who were well loved and trained. Samantha was happy sleeping at home due to her age but we had so much fun with Kevin on walks, hiking, local adventures (he’s incredible in the car). We miss this amazing furry duo so much!! We can’t recommend Gabby & Caleb enough and would definitely come back to sit for them again. A definite two paws up sit!!
