We loved looking after Uffy and felt very comfortable. Rosie and Simon made us feel very at ease, welcoming us with a family dinner, which was lovely and a nice way to get acquainted. We were given plenty of info about Uffy's habits and routines, got to do a walk with Uffy when we first met him and then again the day before they left on their holiday. The location is very good, quite little hamlet, with really good walks on the door step, a very good choice of shorter, or longer walks plus an amazing river for the warmer days/evenings. We were in the river every day. We went to a local coffee/shop farm, 10mins drive and Uffy was perfect in the car and even enjoyed a doggy ice cream. The area is very peaceful and quite, friendly neighbours and other dog walkers. Rosie's home is very comfortable, beautiful kitchen with views to a magnificent garden, where we spent every day. Uffy had a great time playing with Frank & Delilah, they spent every day together and slept together, really created a nice bond. We were very comfortable, felt very welcomed and can not wait to go back at the end of the month.
Harriet has a beautiful home and was most welcoming and friendly. I really enjoyed looking after Penelope, Herbie and Pandora. They were quite individual characters and I became quite fond of them during my week's stay. Lewes was a great place to explore. Walking over the Downs was great too.
Georgie is our favorite! He is such a people pleaser with tons of personality and the perfect balance of playfulness, sensitivity and loving energy. Everyone on the boardwalk knows Georgie, he loves "starting parties" with the other dogs, as one neighbor said 😆 Susan and Mike were very welcoming, communicative and thorough with their instructions prior to and all throughout the sit. They were very understanding when we had to arrive late due to an emergency situation with our prior sit. The house itself is big and comfortable, on a quiet street, only steps from the beach...with incredible sunset views from the balcony! Highly recommend this sit, we miss Georgie already!
What a fantastic sit!....Met Cindy before the sit began, and instructions were excellent, the home beautiful, and location for amenities, etc, first class!.....we looked after two cats.....one that was right there with us, the other very shy, and loved spending all his time outdoors!....we would highly recommend this sit in the future!
Kohala Loke Lani truly is a Slice of Heaven!!! To say this is the best house sit we’ve ever had would be a gross understatement. Pamela and John’s organization made the feeding and caring of the animals effortless. Each animal has his/her own winning personality and quirks. All were our favorites: Elvis, the super friendly pet turkey (and his wild friend Colonel Parker); Samson, the amazingly talented frisbee retrieving poodle; Dory, the well-spoken, African Grey with rhythm, Lexi, the sweetest (no longer) feral cat we’ve ever met; goats, some of whom enjoy being walked, all of whom love being scratched and, of course, eating; the chickens, who are also friendly and know their daily routine and, with the ducks, produce delicious eggs every day. Above all, our hosts Pamela and John welcomed us warmly, provided for our every need, and made us feel like part of the family. We can definitely say we’ve made new friends, and it would not have been paradise without them.
Leo was a joy to care for! His feeding, walks, and attention were all straightforward and enjoyable tasks. My experience with Leo was positive thanks to his affectionate nature once he warmed up. I’m glad I could provide the care he needed!
