It was a real pleasure to have John house-sit for us for a week over Christmas. He was completely undaunted by our collection of dogs, cats and chickens and we were able to leave everything in his very capable hands and enjoy our holiday. We returned to a spotlessly clean and tidy house and happy animals (thank you John!).

Debs looked after the dogs brilliantly; they were clearly very happy with her. The house was very clean on our return and the garden in good shape, considering the very wet summer. Debs is loyal, honest and was a good communicator while we we away. We would recommend Debs as an excellent house/pet sitter.

Matthew

Matthew and his family were very kind and considerate house guests. They looked after the house and animals very well and posted lovely photos ( professional almost) whilst we were away. The girls were very attentive to the animals and caused no noticeable destruction ( something my youngest daughter was worried about). There were a few hiccups ( Aga went out), but they took this with good grace, negotiated the slightly complicated hot water system and were receptive to the Aga man coming a few days later. The little gestures count like the thank you plant, and tidy house on return. I would have no hesitation in recommending them as future Housesitters.

Jon sat for our fur family on his own…Claire was not with him, which we knew about in advance. From the start Jon was very communicative, and enquired about the details of the sit. In the run up to the sit, we communicated and provided the information requested and our welcome pack, and Jon kindly checked in with us before the start to ensure all was ok. Jon arrived promptly on the start date and we had sufficient time to show him round and answer his questions. A very personable gentleman, we all took to Jon and felt very comfortable leaving the furries and house in his capable hands. He turned out uk be very capable when storm Babet but and water leaked though our pantry roof - Jon’s quick actions prevented further damage to the electrics and the contents of the pantry! He contacted us and calmly got the electrics back on in the house. The house was left in an excellent state with happy animals on our return. Jon had to leave before we arrived back, but he handed over to our neighbours as agreed. I hope he enjoyed his time here. We are very happy he was able to sit for us. Thanks Jon.

Shelley and Steve sat for us to care for Fred our cat. They were a lovely couple that were just perfect. They communicated well with us, sent us photos of Fred whilst we were away and even stripped and washed their bedding before we came home to a lovely tidy house.

Our dogs had a fabulous time with Carol, and they loved her from the minute they met! She is the perfect house sitter and what peace of mind we had, going away for such a long period of time, leaving our ‘girls’ in such capable hands. They were walked regularly, enjoyed the cuddles, treats, and all the attention they were given. Our two dogs are aging and slowing down, which was taken into consideration during their walks, and we can't thank Carol enough for making sure they were ok, especially in the hot weather! It was very reassuring to receive all the regular pictures and updates to let us know that all was well with the girls, especially about Peppi’s poorly sore that was tended to with care. We couldn't have asked for a nicer person, who respected our home, and took the time to water the plants. The house was looked after beautifully and was spotless when we got home! Thank you, for taking such excellent care of our girls, you are always most welcome to sit for us again or pop in for a coffee and a cuddle with the girls if you are passing our way! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Carol for house sitting as she is certainly a 5-star house sitter!

What a lovely, cozy, quiet time I had at Marilyn’s home, hanging out with Gracie. The mountain views are gorgeous from her kitchen, bedroom, and back deck. The beautiful wood furniture and quilts are so calming. Gracie is a love. She is so sweet and enjoys belly rubs. I would be happy to hang out with Gracie again.

I had a really fun time taking care of Chewie. He’s the sweetest dog ever and attracts a lot of attention when walking down the street. Dans apartment is located in a nice neighborhood and there’s a lot of things to do nearby. I would definitely take care of Chewie again!

This was our 13th petsit through THS and to date, each and every one has been really enjoyable. However, our stay at Gina and Andrew's home has to be one of our very favourites. Everything about it was just magical. Their house nestles in a quiet, rural valley and has such a homely, comfortable feel to it. We arrived to a wonderfully warm welcome from Gina and Andrew and, after initial shyness, Poppy the lab soon became our new best friend. Instructions as to how to take care of Poppy, Tommy the horse and the chickens were clear and concise and the introduction to their home was comprehensive. The property is very rural but breathtakingly beautiful so if you are seeking a quiet, peaceful petsit, this is highly recommended. But, the tourist locations of Aberaeron and New Quay are not far away and we had some lovely outings to the beach, dolphin watching (yes, we saw some) and wandering around the lovely area of Cardigan Bay. But, for us personally, it was the house and animals that we were caring for that made the petsit so specia. It was our first sit looking after a horse and, although both Colin and I had experience with horses, it was good to have a gorgeous boy like Tommy to look after. We absolutely loved it. We had some lovely conversations around the farmhouse kitchen table with Gina and Andrew. The kitchen was cozy and warm from the constant heat from the aga - a piece of equipment I'd never used before and really enjoyed cooking on. To reiterate, this has been one of the best petsitting experiences we've had to date and it was a real pleasure to meet such lovely people and to be entrusted with their special pets. Thank you so much Gina and Andrew, we hope to see you all again one day.
