Laurel
The delightful sisters -- Beatrix and Marigold -- are very good girls. Beatrix takes her daily injections like a pro. Both girls are easy to take care of, friendly, and pettable (but they’d probably prefer to be brushed). Because they are indoor cats, no worries about them getting into trouble outside.

The home was clean, comfortable, and very quiet.

This was our first visit to Laurel and Tim’s, but we were familiar with Florence, which is a lovely small town even though it’s part of the city of Northampton. The home is situated near a nature preserve with lots of hiking -- so bring some bug repellent, and maybe a bear whistle.

A car or at least a bike is needed to explore the area fully, but there’s a lot to do on foot. It’s less than a 30-minute walk to a small but well-stocked grocery and some restaurants in Florence Center. From there you can get on the beautiful and well-shaded bike/walk path to Northamptom.

This is a recommended sit.

Mark
Mark was a very generous host who welcomed us into his home a few days before his departure — in fact he met us at the train station with dogs Pepper and Dickens. And what beautiful, big boys those two turned out to be. The older dog, Pepper, loves nothing more than a pat; Dickens is more energetic, but also loves a cuddle almost as much as he loves chasing sticks in the snow. Chicita the cat is a charming little girl with a lovely purr and sweet personality. Mark’s house is modern and comfortable, with a stunning view out every window. The village of Kandersteg and surrounds are absolutely beautiful, with endless opportunities for walking, and summer and winter sports. Thanks for being such a great host, Mark, and we hope to see you again.

Jane
Such a lovely sit in a fabulous unique home in the heart of the beautiful English countryside. Jane & Charlie are such warm and generous hosts and we enjoyed good communication both prior to, and during the sit. The real stars though are Walter & Winston , the two adorable working cocker spaniels. From the beginning of each day until bedtime they have an infectious joy for life and we quickly came to love their distinct yet different personalities.
In summary we absolutely loved every minute and we thank Jane & Charlie for the opportunity.

Liza
Lily is a very sweet dog and so simple to take care of. She will let you know what she wants if it’s playing, needs a walk etc. I had the best time with her over the month I watched her. She loves to snuggle and appreciates company a lot. The communication with Liza was great. She gave me all instructions when I first got to her apartment and we kept in touch while she was gone with small updates here and there. The apartment is central, close to a public transport and it is in a very safe neighborhood. So easy to go explore from there. 10/10, definitely recommend this sit!

William
It was a super experience to spend the weekend in William's amazing house with the lovable dogs Bonnie and Rosa, the chatty but independent cats Tyger and Ede, and the friendly chickens.
William greeted us on our arrival and explained the ins and outs of looking after the house and pets. All very straightforward - especially with William's detailed notes to refer to.
We enjoyed being at home with the 'family', sitting in the garden with Bonnie on guard meerkat-like, against marauding intruders and wandering sheep from the field next door. Our walks along the lane and in the field were lovely.
The house is old, and a bit creaky, but comfortable, with everything you might need. The kitchen is well equipped and the Aga is great!
We highly recommend this sit, it was a pleasure and a privilege to be there.

Quintessential LA Living

Nick and Eimy were excellent communicators. They gave us a great handover, so we were fully briefed. Both pets were extremely straightforward to look after. We loved hanging out with Milo and Artemis (the snuggles!).

Their apartment is amazing - perfect location with a rooftop garden! We had a fantastic time exploring the nearby area including Santa Monica beach. There are many restaurants, take aways and supermarkets within walking distance. We did all our travelling by public transport - there are lots of routes and options close by.

A highly recommended sit! Thank you for having us.
