What a wonderful sit! Ann and Bob are such welcoming, gracious, generous hosts that left us clear, detailed instructions and were quick to respond with any questions we had. Their home is lovely! We were very comfortable, had everything we needed and the location is hard to beat - The Villages is an amazing place full of friendly people and so much to do! Willy and Abby (Willy's mom) were the sweetest!! They kept their distance for the first day or so, however once our initial inspection period was over (as cats do, lol) and we had their stamp of approval, they were the most friendly, affectionate, loving cats!! They both enjoyed being loved and were full of purrs, leg rubs and kisses. Willy liked to sleep in bed with us and Abby also came in to sleep a couple of nights too. One thing to know is that Willy is quite skilled at opening doors. Ann and Bob made this very clear to us prior to our sit, so we were cautious and diligent and had no issues at all. We didn't sit for Cooper, as he got to go on this trip with his parents, however we did meet him before they left and he is just the sweetest too! We would love to sit for Ann and Bob down the road if the opportunity arises! Thank you both for having us!
Heather is very friendly, easy to communicate with, and clear and considerate with making appropriate arrangements required her lovely darling cat Chi, and the warm and welcoming home they live in. Great experience. I would happily house sit again here as well as highly recommend it to others.
Alisa’s home was our first sit and this set the highest bar for all future sits! She invited us to her home to meet Bodie and Echo and graciously offered us the sit. Her home is in the PERFECT location for exploring the area and is welcoming, comfortable and heart-warming. Bodie and Echo were a joy to walk, play with and just be around. It was extremely difficult to say goodbye to these loving and beautiful dogs. If Alisa ever offers a sit again, don’t hesitate to apply and I’ll do my best to beat you to it.😉
Gabi and Shannon are the absolute sweetest pet parents you could pair with. They are the ideal when it comes to this app. They were accessible even while traveling internationally and so kind when Joe ran away and I was tracking him down (we got him back!). They are great to chat with and I hope you build lasting friendships when you get the chance to meet them. The house is absolutely dreamy, situated with gnarly views of all the best mountain ranges in the area. Joe and Rio are a riot. Joe is a respectful older gentleman who fiends for treats (carrots included) and will melt your heart when he randomly looks adoringly at you. Rio is a ball of puppy energy but incredibly smart and trainable. He will also melt your heart with how attentive he is. Do some suntanning on the deck, stroll around Salida, enjoy the records—you’re set with this sit.
I had an amazing time during my long stay at Perri and Lucius's home. Their place is super comfy, and I felt right at home. The neighborhood in Charlottesville is great, and I could easily walk to most places. The Monticello trail was just a short 5-minute drive away, and I felt so lucky to be able to walk in that beautiful trail every day. Willow has such a unique personality. She's independent and enjoys observing from a distance. Although she's not big on pets most of the time, when she is, she's incredibly adorable. We had a bit of a rough start when I tried playing with her, and the rope got tangled around her. Even though Perri and Lucius were traveling internationally, they responded promptly to my messages. They patiently guided me through a video call, and Willow was back to her usual self in no time. As the days went by, Willow warmed up to me, especially during mealtime. She would come and sit beside me and I loved it. Also, the way she sleeps is just so adorable to watch. Taking care of her was a joy, and I'll definitely miss her. Hopefully, I'll get the chance to see her again.
This July we stayed at Muriel house for almost a month and we’re able to spend time with her three lovely cats. Keiko and Parsley let us pet them right from the start. With Simba it took almost two days, but then he was as cuddly as the others. We loved everything about this Housesit. The cats, the house, the area. The communication with Muriel was easy and uncomplicated. We hope we will be able to take care of Keiko, Parsley and Simba again. :)

I have been lucky enough to find Jessica for my two little fur babies. She has been so kind and welcomed my babies into her home with open arms. Jess Has been taking care of my Pomski Nova for the last 2 years. She is a kind, genuine soul who truly loves what she does. Jess gives excellent one on one care, providing every dog with love, affection and most importantly respect. Her playful puppy Jazzy is the most adorable thing you could ever see; making the experience that much better. I am not the type of person who would just leave my dog in the hands of a stranger, and Jess and Jazzy make me feel at ease leaving my fur baby in their care!

Awesome Veterinary Hospital to bring all of your loved animals! Best prices in the Hudson Valley and they offer all kinds of services to better the health of your pet. They also have training classes that you can take with your dog to teach him tricks and how to be more obedient. Would highly recommend this Vet to anyone that needs there animal healthy again. Lastly they have a pet resort so if you go away on Vacation they will take the best care for your animal.
Oswald had a great day at Pet and Play. He came home happy. The staff were wonderful and caring. You can tell how much they love what they do. It makes me feel so much more comfortable know that he will be happy and well cared for when he is there.
My fiancé and I have our 4.5-month-old puppy, Ellie, go to Pet 'n Play a few days during the week because we both just started new jobs and Ellie can't be home alone for 9 hours. I must say this doggy/puppy daycare is amazing. I was worried because Ellie tends to play pretty roughly (being a bully breed). The staff told me not to worry and that they would put her with dogs that are model students. They do have dog trainers that work there because I spoke to one who was educating me on how bully breeds play rougher; she called it "gladiator play." On the days Ellie goes, we get multiple pictures of Ellie and her friends playing. The staff is amazing; the drop-off and pick-up process is so easy. They have a little water park with kiddie pools filled with water for those hot days. Every time we drop Ellie off, she is beyond excited to go into the building and see the staff, so they must be doing a wonderful job. This is my first time putting one of my dogs into daycare, and I don't regret it. When we pick her up, she is exhausted from playing with her friends. Ellie, my fiancé, and I are beyond grateful for all the hardworking staff at Pet 'n Play. If you look at these photos, Ellie is genuinely smiling.🩷
Today was my first Visit at “Pet n Play Resort” and let me tell you I am more than pleased with this establishment! They are so welcoming and kind, I couldn’t be happier. They greet you and your furry friend 🐶🐾 with a smile 😊 upon arrival and explain the entire process in detail, if you’re new there. They provide daily reports & as you can see my puppy “Chanel” had an awesome time 😎. Many of us have anxiety about leaving our fur babies with someone new even if it’s for a few hours, but this resort/doggy daycare is 💯percent trustworthy and affordable. We will definitely be back! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

I just took my dog Luna for a trial day which is free. The staff spends the day observing Luna to evaluate her play style & see if she is a good fit for the program. They were very easy to work with & answered all my questions. The drop off & pick up was smooth. Luna passed the evaluation process. I'm happy to be able to start to send her there for play time. She was happy & tired when I picked her up.
My 2 year old dog has regularly attended there since she was a young pup. They've always take great care of her, and she's always super excited each time we arrive there. All the staff appear to love working there, and the dogs all seem happy socializing with each other. It's a huge plus that it's owned by veterinarians, and the vet's building is on property. Also, they require all dogs to be fully vaccinated and medically clear/healthy to attend daycare. In addition to doggie daycare, they also offer overnight kenneling (which includes feedings of either their dog food or you can bring your own). There's also a cost-saving Daycare Tuition program when you want to have your dog attend daycare certain set days each week.
Great safe place for puppies and dogs. I like how they send a report card for the day. Shows how the day went and communicates if something happen where action needs to be done. Great helpful friendly staff. This place gives you peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands. Would recommend. Started out as 12 free days included with my puppy plan. Loved it and now continue to use it after the free days. Reasonable price.
Pet n Play Luxury Pet Resort is a great find! A treasure in Newburgh! My little Lola is coming out of her shell and is playing with other dogs! For her that’s a huge step! And I can leave her there with full confidence!

Tina is great! I would highly recommend her. She is transparent and extremely communicative. She took care of our cats while we were away and sent updates daily. Tina is absolutely amazing and I will cut to the chase and say I 100000000% recommend her. Before meeting Tina, we only boarded our dog with family or friends. Our dog is a bit high maintenance and needs a lot of human contact (yes I realize I sound crazy) but when we boarded her with Tina, I knew our pup was in AMAZING hands. We received daily updates and lots of fantastic photos. I could see in the pictures how happy my dog was and that she was having a blast. Tina has a great attention to detail, she is communicative, reliable and incredibly warm. She asked a lot of great questions in our consult before the first boarding, the kind of questions you want to be asked because you can tell this person wants to do a good job and not only make your dog feel comfortable, but also us, the client. When our pup came home Tina had daily reports of the stay, pictures and some amazing swag! While I’d hate for all of you to take up the boarding slots when I want Tina to watch my baby dog, I can’t keep her absolute amazing-ness a secret. Tina and Canine Cardio are fantastic and our family adores them! Highly highly recommend!

April and staff are the best ! my baby has been going there for years sometimes up to 3x a year ! … she always takes great care of him! he has diabetes and needs insulin 2x a day ! she is the only one I trust to do it ! I wouldn’t go any place else !!

My babies were so happy to see April, she is so kind and really cares about these animals! We have been coming here for as long as i can remember!! If you need to leave your dog/cat with someone while you’re away DEFINITELY COME HERE!
My dogs came back in pretty bad shape. Open sores on one dog’s legs and both dogs seemed traumatized. Our husky’s tail was down for over a week. It’s always up. They eventually recovered. I would not go back. This was 2 years ago but my review disappeared.
Best place in the area. My dog actually gets excited when he recognizes where we're going. April and the Pet Pleasers team always go out of their way to accommodate schedules when at all possible, and pay such close attention to the dogs that when I've picked him up after a stay, their notes have helped me keep my pup healthy. Would recommend 100%.

My dog 🐶 enjoys going here when I have to go out of town. The staff is friendly and is happy to answer any questions I have. Jerica was a caring, consummate professional who did an outstanding job providing the needs of our cat while we were away for a week. Amazingly, she was able to coax our extremely shy cat out of hiding for some affection, something no other sitter has been able to do. She did a great job of communicating with us, including frequent photos and videos. We couldn't recommend her more highly.
I am so grateful for Jerica!! She took such wonderful care of our pets! I was so nervous to go on vacation because my one old lady dogga has cancer and isn't doing the greatest right now. Jerica kept me updated that ENTIRE time I was away and made sure that Kiya was so well taken care of. She was on top of her medications and gave her so much loving!!! Zero to Eight Petcare is worth its weight in gold! Jerica, the owner, is kind and thoughtful. She’s exactly the type of person you want caring for your pets. We hired her to do in home care for our dog Quinn while we went on vacation. She came to our home before our trip to make sure she knew everything about Quinn. Her attention to detail really put us at ease. Then while we were on vacation, we received daily updates with photos! She even took the extra step and asked to bring Quinn to her home so she wasn’t alone for too long. I would 100% use her services again!
This was the first time leaving my pup with someone, Zero to Eight (Jerica) Surpassed the experience of everything I thought it was going to be, Harper (My Pup) Came back happy and learned a new command (lay down) Harper’s Accommodations were very nice. There was not one thing that Harper missed. Definitely recommend this dog sitter 100x’s over. The pictures and videos I got of my pup while I was away helped ease my separation anxiety.

Great family run grooming business. We brought our older cat in several times to be groomed. They made sure to be very careful since her underbelly was very knotted. They were very gentle with her and do great doggy doo's too !!! I would highly recommend their business.
Horrible Nonetheless the owner is rude and has no customer service. I also think she isn’t educated on different dog breeds and how their hair grows. My dog has cuts all over. I’m not sure the people they have working there know how to cut dogs hair. I gave it two tries but this time i feel so bad putting my dog through that experience

Took my service dog to get groomed here and they were so sweet and patient with her, especially considering she is such a high energy labrador. They even spoke to me about some concerns regarding her collar being too tight which I really appreciate, it means a great deal that they notice stuff like that and will express their concerns. Just shows that they truly care about the dogs they groom. Will definitely be bringing her back here. She looks and smells great too 🥰
I have never been compelled to write a review, positive or negative, for a business, but I need other potential customers to understand what they can expect from Paws and Mittens. We recently moved to Beacon and brought our extremely friendly and loving maltipoo for grooming. When I went to pick him up, I was told that I should have warned the staff that he does not like his ears brushed so they knew to muzzle him ahead of time, which they did anyways and I was not consulted on. Again, our dog is very sweet, has been to the same groomer for years in Brooklyn, and had never been muzzled before. They also said that I would need to remind them next time because they have too many customers to remember. After I picked him up, he was extremely traumatized and would not stop scratching and licking himself, and was limping. He was also aggressive in a way that we’ve never seen before. There were also several spots that were shaved down to the skin with apparent razor burns. After a day of licking, his neutering incision incredibly raw.. We immediately took him to the vet to find out that 1. He now has an infection from being nicked, and 2. that he has a pulled muscle from rough handling during grooming. We have never had such an awful grooming experience and would NEVER bring him back here. If you are new to the area, or just looking for a new groomer, I would suggest looking elsewhere if you care about your pet.
I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt as my dog is a bit hesitant when it comes to grooming; however when i got the phone call that they were unable to groom her face because of her behavior i was highly suspicious. My dog returned home with razor burns around her private areas which have been highly irritating for her. She also returned with a razor burn so bad that her fur was matted to the burn with gunk. I will be sure to never return here.
I went in looking to make an appt for my cat. Their website and store front is literally called paws and mittens. They were incredibly rude as if I had lost my mind for asking. Because the owner is severely allergic to cats.i tried explaining my cat is hypoallergenic and such a good kitty getting bathe. They turned me away which is fine but don’t be rude and give me an attitude for inquiring.
this is the first time i take my dog here to be groomed and he came back with bloody ears 😡 they deserve to be shut down 😤 …

I have used Paws &Mittens in the past when Maria owned it. Then Selma took over and I continued to use her until my then, dog passed away. After a couple of years, I rescued a very tiny dog who is very timid and isn't a fan of grooming. The first time all went well and I was very pleased because her workmanship really is superior to others in the area. Sadly, the second time I brought my little dog to her, she had a few big dogs there that most likely made my dog a bit nervous and I can only assume, fidgety. His haircut was very choppy and he had some raw spots on his skin (in a male dog's very sensitive area)...it was either a burn from an overheated buzzer or the buzzer was pressed so hard on him that he was scraped. Since I wasn't there and my dog can't speak, I can only use my licensed hairdressing knowledge to assume this is how he was hurt. Sadly, I am no longer comfortable bringing him there😞 If you decide to go there, and you have a fidgety, nervous dog, this may not be the best place to go.
August 4, 2024 - the day our sweet Jacob crossed the rainbow bridge. Because this is still incredibly raw, this will be a short review. The courtesy, softness, love and patience that Michelle gave to us and our boy is immeasurable. Preserving his dignity was priority to us and she made sure that was done without us asking. Thank you for giving our baby boy the most peaceful passing he could’ve asked for.
Losing my dog recently was of course devastating, however Michelle's kindness, patience, empathy and professionalism made the experience as positive as it could possibly have been. I am so grateful my friend found her just in the nick of time for an at-home euthanasia. Michelle was so sweet and gentle, both to me (on the hardest day ever), and to my sweet baby girl. The presentation of her ashes and paw imprint was done very nicely and respectfully. I am very grateful for Michelle and highly recommend VetMedics to anyone in need of emergency vet services. I would leave 10 stars if I could. Thank you again.
On Sunday, December 3, 2023, we had to put down our beloved 14.5 year old Lab, Boomer. He had been diagnosed with liver failure and declined rapidly within 2 days of that diagnosis ... he had lost the use of his back legs, would not pee or poop, and wouldn't eat or drink. The night before, he was in excruciating pain and was crying out for relief ... we knew that the time had come as our vet had said that there was nothing more that we could do for him. I called Michelle that morning, explained the situation, and she came over later that afternoon. Michelle was absolutely wonderful. She explained the procedure to us and was empathetic to our tremendous grief. The injections were painless, and she gave us as much time with Boomer as we needed before and after he passed. Because Michelle was able help us so quickly, Boomer could crossover at home, in his own bed covered with his favorite blanket, in front of a roaring fire, with soft music playing and his family hugging and kissing him as he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. When we were ready, she put him on the gurney with a pillow under his head and his blanket still covering him. She allowed him to leave this world with a dignity and respect that is absolutely impossible to achieve at a cold, sterile, and typically scary vet's office. I'm crying as I write this. We love Boomer deeply and eternally, and I will never forget Michelle's kindness and professionalism in helping Boomer and us in such a time of deep and profound sorrow. She enjoys my highest recommendation.
Michelle and crew were there for us when both our big pups crossed the rainbow bridge. She made it as easy as possible and took her time to talk and hear our stories about Ares and Athena. We highly recommend this compassionate, caring and amazing crew!
Michelle came to our home to help put our beloved Goldendoodle, George, down after short battle with cancer. She made a difficult situation much easier with her gentle care and compassion. She put us and George at ease and helped him transition with dignity. We are forever grateful.
Michelle and VetMedics is a Godsend. She has helped my family and I through many rough times with our fur babies.. most recently she helped us when our pup required surgery. Multiple “telehealth” phone calls later, our girl is doing great. We could not be more grateful!
There are no words to describe our wonderful experience with Michelle & VetMedics. Michelle came to our home to help us guide our beloved Flynn across the Rainbow Bridge. Wonderful may seem like an odd word to use to describe an experience such as this, however, as painful and sad as it was, Michelle made it as wonderful as it could be. She was warm, compassionate, professional, empathetic, patient, and kind throughout the entire experience. It was such a special way to say goodbye - our first time doing this at home. Our boy enjoyed lots of his favorite peanut butter treat, while being loved by me and my husband. Then he curled up with me on his dog bed and simply went to sleep. It was very peaceful and calming. After, Michelle and my husband placed Flynn on a portable gurney. Michelle laid Flynn's head on a little pillow then covered him with a blanket. She allowed us to take our time and she did each step of the process only when we were ready. I will forever be grateful for Michelle & VetMedics - thank you for understanding what pets and their parents need, and thank you for all that you do to provide support and services. You're truly the absolute best.
Vet Medics, as usual, did a masterful job of caring for our cat while we were away. Michelle came to our home and provided every level of care. She even fed our koi. Communication was terrific. Vet Medics inspired confidence when planning care for our diabetic cat. They are most responsible and easy too deal with. We have complete faith in their oversight of our animals.
Most caring and gentleness given to your beloved pet. Had to call them today to help us with this ever so hard decision. Melissa treated our dog as if he was her own. Tears flowed and will for some time, but our beloved Jake has crossed the Rainbow Bridge and is with our other dogs who are waiting for us all to join them. Jake we miss and love you. I will take good care of your brother Jasper. Miss you Jake. Thank you Melissa for helping us through this and I know we made the right decision. Love you Jake. Sorry meant Michelle must be tears and heartbreak that changed your name. Not myself today.

Our dog, Barbara, who has SO MUCH energy loves going to Shepard and Grey Daycare (as shown in the photo). She gets excited even when driving up to Daycare. We have not found anyone as caring, loving and responsible as John at S&G! We've even boarded Barbara (who has never been boarded before), and she loved it. John also sends photos from the day and it's clear how much the dogs love playing and spending time with each other at S&G. Most of all, they get such an array of activity and space that allows your dog to be well socialized.
Fantastic facility! We've taken our senior dog (a rescue) to Shepherd and Grey since we got her, and that was shortly after the daycare/guest house opened. John is fantastic to work with, and his guesthouse is like a spa for our girl -- she relaxes in the sun room, enjoys walks on this gorgeous property, barks at squirrels, and watches the younger pups play. We especially appreciate the pictures and videos John sends us each day. You will not find better care anywhere in our area. Highly recommend!!!
We were a long way from home for a wedding in Beacon, NY and didn't want to leave our poodle, Max, behind. Shepherd and Grey's is very impressive, architecturally, with three levels and windows looking out to wooded mountains all around. The rooms are equipped as if dogs with credit cards furnished them: a real bed (if that's what your dog is comfortable with) plus a variety of cozy spaces and toys. John makes sure to take sociable dogs (ours is very gentle and an "only child" so he was excited to be in the company of other members of his tribe). I especially appreciate that this daycare/guesthouse for pets is a labor of love, because we are careful with Max, who is innocent as a child, and only wants to love us (and swipe the occasional tomato if given half a chance!) We can't believe how lucky we were to find John. We have a very nervous dog who doesn't do well away from us. He worked hard to make her feel comfortable and relaxed at his house. She looked forward to going every day. Most importantly, John went above and beyond to work with our ever changing work schedules allowing us to come early/ late to get her or would pick her up or drop her off if we needed him to. We can't express how great he is and how thankful we are for his service.
Shepherd and Grey is unlike any other dog care service I've used. It's a small, residential business, and they only take six dogs at once—which is a perfect group size for me. My dog, Sprout, gets plenty of exercise and socialization there, but she's also not overwhelmed by constant chaos or stimulation. I know the dogs play a lot but also rest, because John (the owner) sends me several photos and videos each day that Sprout is there. The areas where the dogs hang out are beautiful and always clean (check out the sunroom!), and S&G features a huge property for the dogs to hike around and relax outside. And John obviously has a way with animals... my dog adores him, and I can tell he loves her, too. If you're looking for a really special pet care service you can trust, with lots of individualized attention, then definitely give Shepherd and Grey a look.
During this extended closure, I am concerned for small businesses in the Hudson Valley, and Shepherd and Gray is one of our favorite staples of the area. If you are looking for a safe place for your dog to stay, if you have any reservations about being separated from your best friend, S&G will put all your worries at ease. We first went to John when we were planning our wedding - we wanted Penny to travel with us and share our special day, but it just wasn't feasible. And everyone we would trust her with was going to be at the wedding, so we were at a loss. The minute we stepped on the S&G property with Penny we knew it was the place for her. The facility is clean, John is very thorough with paperwork, making sure all dogs are up to date on vaccinations, and the property is beautiful and well maintained. My husband and I knew Penny would be safe and well cared for. Plus, John sent us daily updates, pictures, and videos. Penny is the smiling white lab in the photo and she can't wait to go back and play with friends once the social distancing ends!
Shepherd and Grey (S&G) provides exceptional care of your pet. We had a sudden need to kennel our dog for a few days. Our dog was very accustom to me being home with her every day. It has also been a few years since we have been to the dog park and we have not needed daycare or boarding since we moved to this area. My first concern was to make sure our girl had a positive experience. She is a big goof and this was going to be a big change in her routine. S&G 's owner, John, is wonderful to work with and provides the very best care in a calm, safe home-like environment. We were able to schedule a meet and greet as well as a half-day stay for a test run before we went out of town. So many great reasons to choose S&G: 1) all pet guests are current on vaccines 2) small number of dogs to ensure safe high-quality care 3) owner understands canine personalities 4) committed to providing an excellent experience for both the owner and their pet guests 5) daily photos and updates of your pet's stay. I have worked in pet care and welfare, there are several options for traditional boarding and kennel facilities. S&G is different, it truly is a guest house for your pet. We are so pleased with S&G we now schedule daycare visits just to let our girl socialize and get some hikes in, even when we are working from home. If you want more than a kennel experience for your pet, or more than a 10 minute dog walk while you are working, I highly recommend Shepperd & Grey Daycare & Guesthouse. Your pet's happiness is so worth it.
We board our black lab at Shepherd and Grey when we go away on vacation and absolutely love it. John is so hands on and really cares for any dog he is taking care of. We love that our dog has access to plenty of outdoor space, gets tons of walks and exercise on a daily basis and most of all is being cared for by a dedicated and experienced dog owner. I do not have to worry when I leave my dog with John. He treats her like his own!
My husband and I were expecting a baby and needed someone to watch our dog. Since we didn't know exactly when and for how long we'd need to board her, typical boarders were not ideal since you have to give exact dates. Luckily I found Shepherd and Grey online - John was willing to accept our booking without a definite date and was super flexible of the length of stay given our circumstances. We also loved the home feel for our dog instead of being placed in a kennel all day. We would 100% use S&G again and recommend them to friends. Very happy we found them!
John has been watching my dog for over 5 years and I have nothing but great things to say about his dog day care services. I started bringing my dog here a few months ago. They are very friendly and actually care for your dog while they are in their care. When I drop her off she wants to run inside she absolutely loves it. She always comes home and falls asleep right after from playing all day.
Do not bring your dog here. I went for a meet and greet today, I could see my dog on the live stream, he was doing fine and all of a sudden I see the person pick him up and what appears to have put him in a crate that was just under camera view. I watched and for an hour I did not see my dog. I called and was told by the woman, I was just about to call you, your dog did not pass the meet and greet. Their story was they put my dog in a crate so a new dog could enter and when they let my dog out he snapped at the new dog. All which was conveniently off camera. If this is all true why would they not call me right away? Why did they leave my dog in a crate for an hour? I was the one who called them. Horrible, my dog is now acting traumatized. Do not trust this business
Dogtopia made me and my Gigi feel so welcomed! We were apprehensive at first, as this is her first ever daycare experience but the knowledgeable and friendly staff assured me that she'd be safe in their hands. And she was! She played, barked, jumped, all the stuff she rather do than sit at home all day. I will definitely be recommending to friends and families, as well as signing Gigi up for a weekly schedule as soon as she finishes her vet appointment! Thank you Dogtopia!
The workers here have taken care of my dog for three years 5-6 days a week. Sadly, we are moving and will not be able to go there anymore. I cannot recommend them enough . They truly care about the dogs and the owners. Top notch.
I FOUND THE NEW AND BEST PLACE TO BRING MY DOG! Unbelievably clean, brand new facility with plenty of space for my dog to run around. Their organization is top notch, storing my dog and other dogs items in individual and labeled bins. Their staffs highly knowledgeable and trained on dog care as well as friendly when you arrive. I feel more than comfortable leaving my dog here and would recommend this place to anyone looking to find a safe and fun place to bring their own.
Wonderful place to bring your pet! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Baker always leaps out of the car and sprints inside to greet everyone and see his friends. He boards frequently and I rest easy knowing that the staff will take fantastic care of him. We love Dogtopia!
i was very worried putting my dogs in daycare at first, i have awful separation anxiety from my dogs and constantly worry about them when im not with them, but with my work schedule i just couldnt leave them at home anymore. thankfully, dogtopia has really exceeded my expectations, the entire staff is so lovely and kind and caring, i swear every single one of them have known me and my dogs by face and by name since day 2. it really warms my heart knowing how much they all care and how genuinely sweet they all are, it makes me feel very comfortable leaving my dogs with them every day. their cute little events they do every so often are adorable, i love knowing my dogs are getting yummy special treats and doing fun silly activities while im away. they also give report cards and send email updates with photos every so often to keep you updated on how your pups are doing, as well as constant access to the cameras inside so you can peek in on your furry friends while theyre there! alongside their daycare, their grooming & spa services are UNMATCHED. rebecca did an absolutely STUNNING job on both my chow chow and my sheltie. you can tell she truly loves her job and cares about her work, she spent 4 1/2 hours grooming my dogs to make sure they were done perfectly and comfortably. she is so attentive to detail and does exactly what you want (but better!) and only does what your dog is comfortable with. one of my dogs didnt like the nail dremel and she immediately stopped and found an alternative way to trim her nails that my dog would be comfortable with. she BEYOND exceeded my expectations, my beautiful ladies looks so so gorgeous, and you really cant beat the price either. i am so incredibly satisfied with all their services and their staff, i highly highly recommend them for your daycare and grooming needs!
Doggie daycare. An opportunity for a lap/companion/velcro dog to see other people and get some needed 4 legged, furry socializing. Also an opportunity for the home bodies (two leggers) to get some chores and errands done without all the ‘help’. Clean. Pleasant staff. Attentive handlers

The team at Dogtopia fishkill from the front desk to the groomers and everyone in between always goes out of their way to make sure your pup is comfortable, happy, and safe. My girl Olive would be so excited when we pulled up for her daycare days and always be pumped to go in with all her friends. Extremely clean and well cared for environment, excellent communication from the staff. If you’re on the fence about signing your best friend up for daycare at Dogtopia fishkill, just do it - you won’t regret it.
Ace is SO happy! He passed his evaluation at Pawsatively Petastic and now can go to daycare and boarding at this fabulous place! 15,000 square feet of CAGE FREE boarding where dogs of all sizes romp and play, both indoors and outdoors! This is like heaven on earth for dogs and Ace didn’t want to leave. I HIGHLY recommend this doggie daycare/boarding for anyone in the Westchester and Putnam area - you WON’T be disappointed! We’ve known the owners Lia and Ray for a long time, even back before they had this facility when they provided pet care in their own home. They are wonderful people, will treat your dogs like their own family, and will provide so much enrichment to your dog’s life through play and socialization with other dogs in a state of the art (however affordable) facility! ❤️
I had my multi-Pooh boarded with positively neglectful Daycare , for three nights. I did hear that there were some issues, but it was last minute and against my better judgment I sent him. ,When I picked him up on Saturday. he seemed disorientated as if he didn’t know where he was or who I was.At this point he was walking fine. I got him home a couple of hours later he couldn’t even walk. It seemed as if something wore off . He was in extreme pain. He would not walk. I could not touch his back or his shoulders legs and paws. He just cried. I was mortified and took him to the vet immediately. She said he was dehydrated and definitely something had happened. when I called the facility on Friday to see how he was doing, they said everything was fine. When I picked him up as soon as we got home he also started with stomach problems throwing up diarrhea and blood in his diarrhea. I paid $428 to the vet. I placed my dog in their care thinking he was going to be taken care of and safe, they refused to take any responsibility. They said I signed a waiver, which apparently gives them a license to abuse dogs. I see there’s some good reviews here but believe me I’ve heard some terrible ones I would definitely never ever bringing your dog there. Unfortunately dogs can’t talk . If mine could I would love to hear what was done to him . They put the big dogs outside in the dead of summer and is all you hear is barking consistently I believe in my heart that something is not right at that facility and I am going to look into it. It’s not acceptable to treat or neglect animals because someone signed a waiver. !!!!!!!!!’
These owners are loving people who are diligent and have the best interest for the pet in their comfort and safety and happiness. On top of that they run a successful business and not only keep best interest of the pet, but really secure a wonderful feeling for the pet owners.Safety and security and healthy atmosphere is what you will see here! Super nice honest people… can’t say enough! Just picked up my two large dogs from 3 day vacation…. These dogs of mine run free at my home on 2.5 acres……every day and still wine cry etc. Tonight? We picked up? My dogs are happy Healthy and zonked!!! They had tons of friends to play with with Amazing environment! So grateful and so thankful we have people and a place we can finally trust!
I was looking over 2 years to find a daycare for my puppy which is a Doberman and every place I called wouldn’t take my puppy until I called Pawsitively and they took a chance on Xena and I am just thrilled how much she loves going here. The owners and the staff love Xena . I moved and I am driving a little more because I know Xena loves this place. I take her for daycare and boarding. I trust them 100 percent, maybe one day Xena will let them give her a bath and cut her nails Lol.
Marcelo grabs his collar and is ready to go when he hears “let’s go see Raymond at pawsitively”. It’s his home away from home. Only people I trust with my boy. He goes in by himself most of the time and announces his grand arrival!! Comes home happy and exhausted. 5 wagging tails for pawsitively and EVERYONE who works so incredibly hard to take such great care of these pups.
Daisy loves pawsitively petastic. She can't wait to get in the door to see her doggie friends. She's happily exhausted when she comes home with a smile and tail wagging when we say doggie day care.
I left my dog here for overnight boarding for 6 nights. It was her first time being with people and a bunch of other dogs that he didn’t know. I called two days in a row to check on him and I was glad they didn’t sugar coat anything. They were honest with me about how nervous he was. But after a few days he did great. When I picked him up he was ready to go back inside and even went to one of the coworkers to get a kiss before he left. They are so sweet and it’s an awesome place. We will be using them again in the future.
Star and I found our other loving family right under our nose on Route 6. Star is very social and playful but truly thinks she is the size of a Toy Poodle. Apparently something happened in her early formative years that causes her to be shy with dogs her size. I explained all of this to Lia, Ray, Emily and Maryann and they accommodate us by allowing Star to mingle with the "littles" and the medium size dogs. She firmly reminds me at 6:00 am when it's her doggy day care day and waits not- so- patiently as I get ready. She can't wait to go visit her friends, both human and canine, and comes home happy and exhausted. The folks at Pawsitively treat both of us like family and we couldn't have found a more loving, caring place to care for our wonderful greyhound. Try it for a day or for an overnight stay. You and your dog will be hooked! There is no better place.
My GSD is so happy here. He gets so excited when we arrive he doesn’t even hesitate to go with the staff. He is even happy when we board him. Lia and Ray and their staff clearly love the animals and the environment is clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this business.
I have been bringing Sadie here for some time now for one a week daycare and socialization, and have used them for overnight boarding a few times. To put it bluntly, alI have to say in the morning is , "Do you wanna go play with friends" and she would drive herself there if she could. She LOVES it. and when I pick her up , I get a fully exhausted and had a full day of play pup :)
We kept our cat here twice and the experience was great. They loved hi. And took great care.
The highland pet resort is a great place to leave your fur baby while away.I left my golden retriever in there care and the staff went above and beyond to make my dog comfortable and help with his separation anxiety...and while away I got stuck with a canceled flight due to a hurricane and they accommodated my dog and were willing to make space for him until I was able to return. My golden came back a happy boy and was well taken care of! I will definitely use this doggy hotel again in the future!
I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my best furry girl. They are exceptional! My girl is used to lots of exercise. While she was with them, they took her for many long walks through the apple orchards surrounding their property. They kindly accommodated me calling to check on her while I was traveling (a much needed part of me feeling comfortable), and followed all directions regarding how to feed her the raw diet she’s on and the treats that I brought. As a huge cherry on the top that highlights their level of care and seriousness when taking care of your fur baby; on pick-up day, I noticed that there was an additional attachment link between her harness and collar. They took it upon themselves to add this safety link so that there was no chance of her slipping out of her harness while out on these walks. When they are taking these kinds of precautions, you know that your beloved best furry will be safe and cared for. Their onsite groomer does a fantastic job as well!
What a great place and staff....they understand dogs and did a wonderful job with my 10 month old and my 12 year old pups. I recommend them highly and when I did too will use them again!!
We have always been really happy with the care our pup receives here. She goes to doggy daycare and has so much fun she needs a nap for the rest of the evening after we pick her up. We also have boarded her here for several years and always feel she is well taken care of. The owners and staff seem to genuinely care and love the animals. I would absolutely recommend giving this business a try.
Highland Pet Resort is the best kennel in the area. Our dogs LOVE going there and come home well taken care of, well loved and happy. Chris and the staff are courteous, flexible and helpful. One of our boys had mobility issues for a while a few years ago and they continue to check in when he’s there, take care to have him avoid stairs and let us know if anything happens. Our other gets anxious when away from us and is finicky when eating, so they literally feed him from their hand, one handful at a time. Can’t say enough good things about them, highly recommend!
We did a tour and booked for the summer. Facilities are clean. The staff seems friendly.. From what we see, it's a five star place for your pet. Will Update after our reservation.
We just used Renee and Chris's amazing facility last week for our furry child. It was his first boarding experience and super successful. His week stay long was completely worry free, as we had full trust in the owners and staff for their fantastic care of animals. So many of our friends here have raved about them. What a great service and wonderful addition to our town. Our dog was happy, rested, and well exercised throughout his stay. I felt like I was leaving him with family. Thanks you guys!
Very good place to go for pet boarding. We take our dogs here every year when we go to cape cod for 2 weeks. Very stress free taking the dogs here. The dogs are very happy with there stay here. They get a nice bath while staying here. The nice part is everything you bring with your animals you get back when picking them up. And the pets belongings are in good shape and not broken when you get them back
Highly recommend this place. Every single employee we met was so friendly. You could really tell that every one of them loved dogs and took great care your pet. The facilities were super clean and we loved that our dog had an outdoor/indoor area that they could move between at their leisure.
