I have only positive things to say about Lisa and her teenager who took care of the pups this past weekend. Lisa was a pleasure to coordinate with and was very communicative, reliable, and tidy. The dogs would be happy to have them back in the future!
What a lovely sit! Jasper is a love bug and just wants to be close to you all the time. He and my pup got along so well right off the bat. He does tug a little bit and is reactive to large dogs when on leash, so give other dogs a wide berth. But otherwise he is a perfect little gentleman. The house is lovely and such a wonderful stay: in proximity to Philly while giving you the benefit of being in a spacious, green suburb (with a phenomenal, if small, farmers market). Good cafes and restaurants in the area and easy street parking. Billie communicates easily and readily. This was such a great experience and we'd come back any time!
I really enjoyed my month-long sit at Louise and Nick’s quiet, peaceful home. With grazing horses nearby and gorgeous mountain views, this makes for an ideal retreat. Their cat Milo is a fun companion, and her character is quite entertaining! It’s about a 15 min drive to Durango, and it’s in a good location to explore the Bayfield and Pagosa Springs area as well. Louise and Nick are kind, appreciative people, and I definitely recommend this sit!
Wispa and Tinks were wonderful— so loving and easy. Wisp is a doll to walk, no pulling and very gentle. And such a joy to watch loping, like a gazelle, in the tall grasses off lead. When not doing one of those two things, she is gently napping on the sofa. Tinks is independent but affectionate— will rub against you and purr, but is not a lap cat. She loves to curl up in the potted tree in the garden, as well as play and tease Wispa. Louise’s cottage is small but lovely, beautifully decorated and has two en suites, as well as a loo downstairs. It was clean and well-organized and had everything you could need — and 15 minute walk to cafes and restaurants. Louise was kind and helpful and easy to maintain contact with. She also both picked me up from, as well as dropped me, at the train station. And she assured I had my connections in London. My only slight complaint is that there was not much space to spread my stuff out in my bedroom or bathroom bc all was so tastefully decorated. A sorry thing to complain about for such a wonderful sit!!!
I enjoyed my pet/housesitting for Rebekah and Chris. They were very accommodating with transportation and their lovely home in a nice area of Cleveland Heights. I enjoyed my walks with Iggy. Iggy and Felix are very sweet, lovable pets. It was fun to watch Iggy and Felix nuzzle and play with each other too. Very nice family and experience...
John and Julia were wonderful hosts, and we really enjoyed our housesit for them. Wilson, the dog, was a delight to care for - well-behaved, gentle, and loved going on walks. Purdey, the cat, was always by our side, curious, and a joy to have around. Both would come cuddle up with us in the evenings to watch TV. The chickens were a breeze to look after, roaming the garden during the day and putting themselves to sleep at night. John and Julia made us feel incredibly welcome and recommended a charming village pub for us to visit. We would highly recommend this housesit to any fellow housesitters in the area, although we secretly hope to nab it ourselves! Thank you, John and Julia!
Therese's home was so cozy and charming, with the grand old trees welcoming you at the entrance. Immediately fell in Love with Benny Bean, his warmth and song to greet me as soon as I stepped inside. He is playful and cuddly and enjoys his many cat naps. We slept together each night, where he was very respectful, staying on his side of the bed and not waking me. Grateful to Therese for the opportunity to share in the calm of her home and for trusting me to care for her Wonderful Benny Bean.
