Sheri and Kevin were communicative before and throughout their stay. They made sure they knew we were on the way back before they left. I felt confident that my 2 dogs were well taken care of during the weekend we were away!
This was a great sit. We loved Cookie and grew very attached to her. Natascha gave very detailed instructions and kept in touch while away. The house and neighborhood are very nice. Everything went smoothly and it was so nice to get to spend this time with Cookie. She loves people, loves her walks, and loves to play. I only wish we could have been there during a cooler time of year so that we could take longer walks.
We had such a lovely time looking after Mustard, Pepper and Salt! They are just the sweetest cats. Lucy left everything we needed. We visited some lovely places in the area and I would thoroughly recommend this sit 😻
I must say, it was the sit of a lifetime. Leslie and John's home and property are out of this world, that is if you like to be surrounded by the scent and sight of pinyons and junipers and blue sky, and a home that reflects art and style while feeling so comfortable and cared for. AND, you get to meet the coolest cat on the planet. Iggy is allowed to go outside, so we spent a lot of time together there. He is a treasure, you just have to look at him and he'll purr. I found it so relaxing and rejuvenating in that beautiful space, that I rarely ventured into Santa Fe. And Santa Fe is a jewel in itself. So, I can't say enough about Iggy and my THS sit. Unfortunately, I didn't get to meet them in person, but Leslie and John kept in touch and all was a breeze. Hopefully, I'll get to meet them some future sit. Happy trails till then and a pat to Iggy in the meantime.
We had a lovely time in Olivia and Tom’s beautiful home with Clover and the cats. We were spoilt for choice with walks as their property backs onto National Trust woods which join the Bath Skyline walk so there was always somewhere new to explore with Clover. Clover is an extremely satisfying dog to walk as she’s so bouncy and full of energy so she will bound around the woods getting plenty of exercise even on a walk that’s relatively short for humans. There are private woods out the back of the house and these were perfect for when we all just needed some fresh air between breaks in the rain as Clover wasn’t a huge fan of soggy weather. The cats, Pocket and Bob were extremely easy to care for and mostly kept to themselves upstairs during the day but were always keen for a cuddle and a stroke and would climb on our beds at night purring away like very cute hot water bottles. We were staying over New Year’s Eve and it was very special to watch the fireworks across the city at midnight from their stunning Georgian floor to ceiling windows. We did a few walks slightly further afield at Batheaston and Clover was very well behaved going out in the car. All in all this was a brilliant sit that I’d recommend to anyone, especially if you’re a keen walker as there’s a wealth of opportunities on the doorstep. Thanks Olivia, Tom and family for a lovely stay.
I had a lovely sit in Tucson caring for Chucha. Dave and Sasha are kind and generous people, and they have a beautiful home and garden, a true oasis. Dave cooked delicious meals for me when I arrived and before I left, and even left some delicious things in the fridge for me while I was there! There were vases of fresh peonies and sunflowers for me to enjoy while I worked from home while I was there, which I quite enjoyed. The garden is a pleasure to watch while having morning coffee with all of the birds and plants. Chucha is a real sweetheart and easy to care for; Sasha went over her routine with me before they left. I would definitely sit for Dave and Sasha again, highly recommend. :)
Teddy and Nala are two of the most adorable little dogs we've ever met. Nala is so well behaved, affectionate and always ready for a cuddle once she warms up to you. Teddy is a character but a good boy and kept us entertained throughout the 3 weeks we spent with them. So much fun, and always excited to see us, these two really brightened our days! The house itself is huge, lovely - a calm oasis among the chaos of Egypt with a nice sized garden, and green areas around for dog walks. Coffee shops and restaurants are a short walk away, and larger shopping malls (one even has a ski slope) 5-15 minutes away in an Uber. Easy to visit the pyramids and Cairo from there. Internet worked perfectly for us too (important since we needed to work) Matt and Lisa were always super helpful and responsive to any questions we had - would definitely recommend this sit to anyone, and would be delighted to take care of Teddy and Nala again!
