The house is just as described and the communication with Cheris and Rob was perfect. They have an airbnb upstairs in which I stayed for the week and everything was clean and you get a lot of privacy which was great. Twix and Snickers were the most well behaved cats ever and were great to have around 🥰 great sit!
This was such an enjoyable sit. Maxine & Andrew gave us a warm welcome, a tasty meal & lots of information about the house & Moose's routine. Moose was a delight to take on the numerous local walks - he never strayed far away, had good recall & didn't pull on the lead. He is a very affectionate dog who would rest his head on your knee & look at you with his adoring eyes. It was an easy 35 min walk into Beverley which is a pretty market town with everything you need & a beautiful Minster. The house was very warm & comfortable, surrounded by green fields with a nearby river for walks. We would definitely recommend this sit & would be very happy to return.
Maxi treated me like an old friend pretty much as soon as we met. I spent much of my time during this short sit working from home. I worked in the kitchen so that I could let Maxi out to the back garden and back in whenever he wanted. He was outside a lot during my sit, and liked attention when he was inside. He often rests on a chair in the living room in the afternoons. When he was doing that and I was still mostly working in the kitchen, I would pet him for a while whenever I walked by, which he appreciated. At night, Maxi is used to sleeping downstairs in the living room, and I kept up that routine, though I think Anne might have said that he's allowed in the bedroom at night if you want. Anne's home is nice and well-located. It's not far from the centre of town in Princes Risborough. Princes Risborough is on the Chiltern line, which makes it easy to go between it and London and Oxford. Anne is very nice as well. She picked me up from the train station (though her home is very close to it, especially if you know the short cut), made me feel welcome, and told me everything I needed to know. I would do this sit again!
Toni was very sweet and had great communication. She gave great details about her home and dogs and even printed out a welcome guide which was helpful. The apartment is cute and the guest bed was so comfortable. The dogs are so cute unfortunately one did get a little stressed and sick but accidents happen sometimes and that is life. Toni felt very bad but it wasn’t her fault. She was very helpful and very present even though she was on a business trip. Otherwise the dogs are easy going and sweet and cuddly.
She canceled on me shortly after I arrived. I fed and let her dogs out, they seemed sweet but she changed her mind. I did not receive the welcome guide with full details until after I accepted. Otherwise Her home was clean and the dogs were friendly.
Roz was seriously one of my favorite kitties to care for. She's so fun and playful and loves cuddles wherever you are in the house, especially in the mornings and evenings in bed. I would definitely sit for this lovely family again and while I will miss Roz, I would highly recommend house sitting for this family to anyone as they made my stay very comfortable and welcoming and were responsive to all my questions.
