She is a wonderful dog to look after and a brilliant companion for walks, and cuddles when working from home. She has a gentle and calm energy and presence. She makes no noise, does not pull the leash, and does not beg you to get a snack when she hears a plastic shuffle. When we first arrived, we thought she seemed almost too good to be true and we spent the first couple of days looking for the “catch”. Instead, we found all of the soft spots for scratches! Steven and Meredith made us feel at home right from the beginning, greeting us with a lovely welcome pack and leaving very clear and easy instructions for June's care and recommendations for the best places nearby. They’re both lovely and warm people - ideal hosts that made our experience in San Jose the best it could possibly be. The Escalante neighbourhood is full of great places to eat and drink, lots of really cool small artisan shops and quiet streets to take June around for peaceful walks. You can get to the city centre is about 15 min walk and Walmart is just a short Uber ride away. The house is so cosy, stylish and bright that you almost do not want to leave! During the day the house is full of natural light and the living room is perfect for cosy movie nights. I stayed at Anna's flat for almost a month and I loved my time with her cat Geszti! Anna made me feel very welcome in her flat. We met in advance and she walked me through everything and also left very detailed instructions, which was really helpful. Geszti is incredibly affectionate once she gets to know you and we had a lovely time together. She loves head scratches and cuddles, as well as playing and spending time in the balcony :) The flat is also very beautifully decorated and very well connected with public transport, so it's really fast and easy to get anywhere. Overall I had a great experience and I would love to look after Geszti again! Thanks again Anna!
My husband and I had the pleasure of watching over Raquels home and kitties for 10 days while she was on vacation. Raquel is very friendly and communicative. She provided us with detailed instructions of what was needed or to expect, where things were in her home, places to see in the surrounding neighborhood and notes on her kitties (Santana and Stella). Santana and Stella are both charming and independent. Santana is the most reserved of the two. He’ll come to you when he’s ready to eat or you may also find him napping by your bedside. Stella is the vocal and social one out of the bunch. Her home is cozy, decorated with beautiful art, it has a good size balcony to relax on, and is in walking distance to many great restaurants. The kitchen is also fully stocked with anything you might need to cook with. We highly recommend sitting for Raquel and her kitties and would not hesitate to go back.
